i think the much better idea is have roman retain at royal rumble and whatever he does at elinmination chamber, he retains, then at mania he finally drops the title to cody rhodes. then from there, you can have a good long build to summerslam for roman reigns vs the rock, since summer slam is basically the new one night wrestlemania in my opinion. CM Punk and seth rollins get their main event, cody main events and finishes the story. the rock and roman get a 2-3 months to build to their dream match at summerslam, and everyone’s happy.

So you have reigns retain at the rumble. The rock somehow gets in the chamber match comes in last don't have to do much you think Cody is gonna win but Orton screws him in the match so rock wins. So you get Rock vs Reigns at mania. You get Cody vs Orton. And you get Seth vs punk for the other title. 'Hard times daddy' like dusty said and that's the story they might go with where Cody doesn't get a title match at mania and has the overcome more hard times because it fits the story of what he's doing and chasing. The story doesn't have to be finished at mania if they don't want it to.
Roman aint losing at the rumble, it just makes too much sense for Cody to be the one to take the title off of him. Whoever beats Roman NEEDS it. Once the match was announced, I thought a fatal four way would be the way. I was then 50/50, but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense because if CM Punk is winning the rumble, having Orton, AJ and LA out of the rumble makes it more viable with less big names in the Rumble match. I think sooplex forgot what transitional champions are. They did this before when choosing a face of the company. Bob backlund lost the title to sheik to put it on Hogan. The original nature boy lost the title to Bruno. Ivan Koloff took the title from Bruno only to give it to Pedro Morales less than a month later. They've done this before, they always have, so I won't be surprised if that's a possibility and hey do it again. Let's face it, many don't even care how it ends anymore, they just want it to end. Edit: Plus, all these guys literally had very long reigns than Roman and not many complained. Bruno with 2803, Pedro with 1028, and Backlund with 2,183. WWE needs to be really careful here. If Rock vs Roman happens at wrestlemania for the title, a good portion of the people will turn on the match because Cody's spot will be taken away. But I have faith in HHH seeing how well he handled Sami-Cody babyface scenario last year around the same time. He never got Cody to get boo'd even though Sami was much hotter babyface than Cody at the time, and deserved the match with Roman at Mania.

I think it’s going to be Cody vs Roman still but the match we’ll get at Elimination Chamber will be Roman vs Rock because that match makes the most sense for that PPV as it has a greater venue than WrestleMania this year. But I don’t think this Fatal 4 Way is going to be as good as the Fatal 4 Way between the four pillars that we got at Double Or Nothing last year that stands as the greatest Fatal 4 Way in history. Now for Gunther it would make most sense for him to put somebody over at WrestleMania 40 maybe with Sami Zayn vs Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Title and maybe have Sami become Intercontinental Champion. CM Punk vs Seth Rollins needs to happen as this can elevate the WWE World Title even more with Punk maybe even turning heel winning the World Heavyweight Title. LA Knight vs Logan Paul needs to happen because it’s a mega match like anything else and can sell tickets as well I can see Knight become WWE United States Champion and get his big moment.

My guess where the Rock/Roman Reigns storyline is going is that it is going the Brock/Goldberg 1 route. Brock/Roman is the champion and defends their title on a PPV (likely Elimnation Chamber to show they can do major title changes at foreign PPV), Rock/Goldberg interferes and helps the Eddie/Whoever(most likely Cody) win, setting up the match at Wrestlemania where Roman/Rock likely main event Night 1.
What could be even more ideal is for Nick Aldis screw Roman up some more and to have him lose everything at Wrestlemania. The "Tribal Chief" title on night 1 vs The Rock and the Undisputed Universal Championship on night 2 vs Cody Rhodes. Imagine the absolute maniac Reigns would become after that. Spearing Paul Heyman, maybe a feud vs Solo, letting Jimmy go, attacking the rest of the roster for no reason 😂 Everything could happen.

In my head, the perfect scenario is this. The bloodline invade the fatal four way, the rocks music hits and takes out the bl on the ramp, gets in the ring and hits the rock bottom on roman. The rock stands over roman for a few, basking in the moment, he then leaves the ring and goes back up the ramp while roman stumbles to his feet with a zoom in on his face, anger and disbelief plastered upon it. Roman turns around while a coiled viper hits the rko and pins roman 123. This perfectly sets up the head of the table feud while also making roman not seem weak due to him getting screwed and having the table turned on him. Randy vs Cody is now set and it also doesn't disrupt Seth vs Punk, this feud has more meaning and can be bigger than roman cody could ever possibly be and then we see cody win at mania. Everyone wins. I still am in the camp of roman losing at survivor series but this is a way to book it.

After Smackdown, something passed my mind... if they REALLY want it to be Rock and Roman at mania, have it be night 2 main event, Roman wins, but its a brutal match Roman is spent, cuts a promo after the match, and it pisses Aldis off, Aldis walks the ramp a bit and decides hes had enough, and send out Cody who won the EC for a title shot, which wouldn't have taken place until after Mania due to Roman being busy that night. Cody beats Roman dethroning him and ending the reign, completing the story.

The scenario that makes more sense to me is simply to do Reigns/Cody at this year's Mania and then set up Rock/Reigns for Wrestlemania 41 a year in advance like they did for Rock/Cena. That way, you get the best of both worlds, and you can actually build a story between Rock and Reigns besides them being cousins fighting for a fictitious title
The transitional champion thing we are way over. It’s about just pulling the title off of Roman. The WWE universe knew Rey was a transitional champion but respected the fact he held it. We were just happy to see the stale run of Theory was finally over and we can see something fresh for a few months and work into a new work horse champion and that’s fact.
If they let Roman drop the title to Randy at the Royal Rumble, then Cody wins at Mania 40, a Rhodes/Orton feud will have to be done. Roman may lose to The Rock at Mania, leaves and comes back after Rhodes is done with Orton around SummerSlam with the story that Cody couldn't beat Roman. But that won't happen. The finish for the Royal Rumble main event would probably Roman attempting or achieving a stacked pin. Of which will be a sight to see again.

He tears through jay and jimmy and Solo in singles matches and I mean rips them up and then finally faces Roman who redeems himself and with a new intensity and determination, beats Zilla definitively. The rock then shows up and tells Roman that this was all he wanted and returns leadership of the family to Roman and tells him he's proud of him.

The problem with that is that The Rock’s Hollywood schedule is so tight that rock might not be available for SummerSlam

So you have reigns retain at the rumble. The rock somehow gets in the chamber match comes in last don't have to do much you think Cody is gonna win but Orton screws him in the match so rock wins. So you get Rock vs Reigns at mania. You get Cody vs Orton. And you get Seth vs punk for the other title. 'Hard times daddy' like dusty said and that's the story they might go with where Cody doesn't get a title match at mania and has the overcome more hard times because it fits the story of what he's doing and chasing. The story doesn't have to be finished at mania if they don't want it to.

Roman aint losing at the rumble, it just makes too much sense for Cody to be the one to take the title off of him. Whoever beats Roman NEEDS it. Randy doesnt need it, id love to see him as world champion again, but he doesnt need to beat Roman, it would be underwhelming. Cody makes sense because hes obviously the top guy now and if he beats Roman that will cement him as that. LA Knight is still a bit green, but i can see him winning the us title at mania and facing cody at summerslam or survivor series. Roman vs Rock should be Elimination Chamber.

I was then 50/50, but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense because if CM Punk is winning the rumble, having Orton, AJ and LA out of the rumble makes it more viable with less big names in the Rumble match. I think sooplex forgot what transitional champions are. They did this before when choosing a face of the company. Bob backlund lost the title to sheik to put it on Hogan. The original nature boy lost the title to Bruno. Ivan Koloff took the title from Bruno only to give it to Pedro Morales less than a month later. They've done this before, they always have, so I won't be surprised if that's a possibility and hey do it again. Let's face it, many don't even care how it ends anymore, they just want it to end.
Edit: Plus, all these guys literally had very long reigns than Roman and not many complained. Bruno with 2803, Pedro with 1028, and Backlund with 2,183. I don't put Hogan up here cause he's just too much of a egotistical liar to be losing the belt then leaving it at that as he's won it again many many times.

WWE needs to be really careful here. If Rock vs Roman happens at wrestlemania for the title, a good portion of the people will turn on the match because Cody's spot will be taken away. But I have faith in HHH seeing how well he handled Sami-Cody babyface scenario last year around the same time. He never got Cody to get boo'd even though Sami was much hotter babyface than Cody at the time, and deserved the match with Roman at Mania.

But I don’t think this Fatal 4 Way is going to be as good as the Fatal 4 Way between the four pillars that we got at Double Or Nothing last year that stands as the greatest Fatal 4 Way in history.

My guess where the Rock/Roman Reigns storyline is going is that it is going the Brock/Goldberg 1 route. Brock/Roman is the champion and defends their title on a PPV (likely Elimnation Chamber to show they can do major title changes at foreign PPV), Rock/Goldberg interferes and helps the Eddie/Whoever(most likely Cody) win, setting up the match at Wrestlemania where Roman/Rock likely main event Night 1.
What could be even more ideal is for Nick Aldis screw Roman up some more and to have him lose everything at Wrestlemania. The "Tribal Chief" title on night 1 vs The Rock and the Undisputed Universal Championship on night 2 vs Cody Rhodes. Imagine the absolute maniac Reigns would become after that. Spearing Paul Heyman, maybe a feud vs Solo, letting Jimmy go, attacking the rest of the roster for no reason 😂 Everything could happen.

In my head, the perfect scenario is this. The bloodline invade the fatal four way, the rocks music hits and takes out the bl on the ramp, gets in the ring and hits the rock bottom on roman. The rock stands over roman for a few, basking in the moment, he then leaves the ring and goes back up the ramp while roman stumbles to his feet with a zoom in on his face, anger and disbelief plastered upon it. Roman turns around while a coiled viper hits the rko and pins roman 123.
This perfectly sets up the head of the table feud while also making roman not seem weak due to him getting screwed and having the table turned on him.
Randy vs Cody is now set and it also doesn't disrupt Seth vs Punk, this feud has more meaning and can be bigger than roman cody could ever possibly be and then we see cody win at mania.

After Smackdown, something passed my mind... if they REALLY want it to be Rock and Roman at mania, have it be night 2 main event, Roman wins, but its a brutal match Roman is spent, cuts a promo after the match, and it pisses Aldis off, Aldis walks the ramp a bit and decides hes had enough, and send out Cody who won the EC for a title shot, which wouldn't have taken place until after Mania due to Roman being busy that night. Cody beats Roman dethroning him and ending the reign, completing the story.

The scenario that makes more sense to me is simply to do Reigns/Cody at this year's Mania and then set up Rock/Reigns for Wrestlemania 41 a year in advance like they did for Rock/Cena. That way, you get the best of both worlds, and you can actually build a story between Rock and Reigns besides them being cousins fighting for a fictitious title
The transitional champion thing we are way over. It’s about just pulling the title off of Roman. The WWE universe knew Rey was a transitional champion but respected the fact he held it. We were just happy to see the stale run of Theory was finally over and we can see something fresh for a few months and work into a new work horse champion and that’s fact.

I give more faith with Randy v Cody than Roman v Cody. Everyone knows there’s going to be hella interference in the match.. the same routine. The only thing that’s historic about Roman’s reign is how many days he’s holding it.. not the amount of times he’s defended it. Most of his defenses have required help and truly not clean wins.. so we can sure believe Randy v Rhodes would deliver and carries 10+ years of history.
My personal book has Roman set to lose the title to whoever and then loses to the Rock who then becomes the new leader of their family. While he's at his lowest point, who makes their return with a Fiery agenda?? Naomi, who comes out and drags all of them for letting their family fall apart and convinces Jay to come back into the fold and Roman to turn over a new leaf and make amends to everyone. THEN just as everything looks sweet (maybe 2 weeks later) we get the debut of Zilla Fatu who is HEATED that Roman squandered leadership of the family, let himself be told off by a woman and that the bloodline fell apart on his watch and he's here to make it right. He tears through jay and jimmy and Solo in singles matches and I mean rips them up and then finally faces Roman who redeems himself and with a new intensity and determination, beats Zilla definitively. He's joined in the ring by Solo, jimmy jay and Naomi. Who convince Zilla to acknowledge Roman and he does. The rock then shows up and tells Roman that this was all he wanted and returns leadership of the family to Roman and tells him he's proud of him.
