This is possibly my favourite video so far, actionable yet powerful; the fullest embodiment of the 'common' magician! After seeing how well chess pieces palm, I'm surprised that more literature hasn't been devoted to chess as a source of props! If anyone knows any books on this topic please do let me know. Thanks
I prefer to be ahead with a classic palm, held face up with fingers separated or staggered in subtle display of emptiness. I also like Ramsay subtlety to imply emptiness ahead. These kinds of displays can be alternated between hands while the off hand retrieves the next load, etc. Also, a small load can be dropped to a table while the hand is upturned to show emptiness. Turn the hand back over on top of the object and have it appear on the table. This is a move associated with tabled coins or shell games where an extra pea is hidden.

You can read JB Bobo's Modern Coin Magic. All the coin sleighs will work with any small objects,
Excellent video. Much appreciated.
Very good insight into everyday magical effects. Goes to show, it's not the method that's important.. it IS the effect that matters.
Any good ideas on making small objects appear. I bought some dollar size chocolates for Easter. Would like to produce the magically one at a time.
