Geez, you guys really had a "ball" with this project! It looks out "standing". The kids will really get a "kick" out of seeing their names on it, but that was probably the "goal". "Score" another success for Lift Arc Studios, one of the best in their "field". I'm thinking - nuff said!
You mentioned the pieces having a slight concaveness from all the welding and stuff... Have you ever seen Colin Furze's video of hydroforming with a pressure washer? Could have pumped that ball right up to the shape of an actual soccer ball
Super cool project! Pro tip from a sign guy - there is a chalk pen for projecting holes to another surface. I use it all the time installing light cabinets, metal panels to bracket, etc
Tay, quick hack for straight and accurate tapping of any hole. Get one or two nuts the size and tack them to a small plate the same way as captive nuts. As long as they are clamped into place when you tack them and clamped to you work you will always have the straightest threads you have haver seen. Aaron mate, you should be so proud of your creation!! Tay, no money was made here today......tomorrows work will pay in referrals you get from the awesome work you and your team have made!
Quick question…… maybe it’s just me. But on the sign it looked like when the cuts were started on some of the letters the torch either started a touch outside the letter or ended outside the letter. If so do you know how to fix this in advanced edit. I do it with all my small fonts to eliminate and burn marks on small letters or art work that I cut. I change the size And angle of where the torch starts the cuts and ends in advanced edit. With large letters this is never an issue. If I was seeing it wrong …. My bad just disregard. 😊. Looks so wicked guys. Love that shop Sabre. Table. I want one. 🤪💰💰
LOL I remember about 10 years ago, somebody on PlasmaSpider claimed he owned the copywrite of the pattern to make the ball and was going to sue anybody who made firepits out of the design.
Why did you not use weld studs? They would have looked so much nicer. Another option (if you have a spare ball) would be to hydroform the ball with a pressure washer
Am I the only one that finds the voices weird from like 13:00 onwards? It is like a algorithm tried to take out background noises and made the voices sometimes really creepy. Especially Aarons and sometimes Spikes

I’ll say Roberta, that was a great “pitch”.😂😂😂
I will burn this place to the ground. -Spike

Was with you with welcome back. After that all foreign.

Great work guys. Spike gets stranger in every video.
Imagine working with the guy. -Spike
Pretty sweet project.
My neighbor just made me truncate the first two minutes of the vid 😂😂. That is the coolest!!
a new hand touches the beacon
nice dudes
After welding it to the base did wiggle
The added rod in the middle eliminated the wiggle almost completely. -Spike
Best drinking game ever….😂😂😂
Those welds at the bottom of the ball would have been virtually invisible with a laser welder. You should see if you can get your hands on one!!!
We would love one here! We're just waiting on the prices to be a little bit more in the "normal" range 😂
Okay, now I want to make one, so I can say "truncated icosahedron" to everyone I should it to!

Yall are milking🐮🥛🐮 this one out for all its worth aint ya??? Great work guys!!!
I cannot understand why you clowns don't have 500000 subscribers. People just don't get fabrication. Great Job. Cordially, W. David McGuinn.
Spike: Does this work on wood? Proceeds to test it on the expensive Lista wood benchtop... lol
I learn through doing. - Spike

I’m wearing headphones and it suddenly sounded like they were right behind me while visually they were in front of me. Trippy in a bad way…
Like the video if you want an hour of Tay saying, "truncated icosahedron" 😅
You are a monster. - Spike
You forgot to hydroform it into a ball.
Didn't see any name's
Now if only it was for something worthwhile, and not soccer
