Despite my frustrations, this was an AMAZING haul! I am on the other side of processing the food and I am totally blessed by this!
Those blueberries are the best! I made blueberry pancakes and they plumped up so nice and round. Saving them for further use was wise, you'll enjoy them later.
Great idea!! I canned mine into syrup. I had to because they were half thawed and making a mess. LOL
You did handle that with Grace. Some people would’ve been pissed and not even look at the benifit of having them to use still and YOU appreciated all of them regardless!!!!!
I tried. I knew I was frustrated but I also knew that the food would be good, I just had to take time and get it preserved right before Christmas. LOL

I just started going to a food pantry when i am able to and it has made so much of a difference! I have a very tight budget and barely am able to make ends meet and having some help takes some of the stress off! Looks like you have a good food bank.
I am so glad you have found a place to go. It is very helpful when you are on a tight budget. We do have several good food banks in my area.

Its ok i have been a hot mess today too. My toddler is sick. Throwing up with a fever, im 35 weeks pregnant. Trying to get everything done before places shut down before the holiday. Hope ur day gets better

@justcallmesuzzie we have already been to the er. They tested for flu, covid, strep, chest xray and everything was neg. Said it's a virus that we just have to let run its course.

Yes, I worked through my frustrations knowing I was going to have to make something out of the blueberries and cook up all that chicken. Then turn around and make bone broth when I was supposed to be making Christmas gifts for my family. LOL

Thank you! Our community is so energized about taking good food that might have been thrown out and saving it to help feed families, homeless, disabled, and seniors in our area. Really, anyone is welcome to come receive food. I have seen people take the food from the food bank they could not use and share it with a kitchen here that makes hot meals for people to come by and take once a week. It is a wonderful community here. I live in the state of Texas.

It is more than likely surplus nuts that did not get sold and the nation wide feed the hungry purchases them up at a discount. It helps the people they are feeding, helps the farmers, and keeps it out of the landfills. It is a win all around for sure and a blessing to everyone.

It would not matter if you bought the blue berries. A mess is a mess and they never happen at a good time. I mean really, is there ever a good time for a mess?
Nope, there never is and even though I was frustrated, I was blessed and knew it. I could not help it coming through on the video but it is real, raw, and normal.

First, I am not "hauling" off hard working Americans. This is food that would have otherwise gone to landfills. Second, you are entitled to your opinion. Third, I have spent my life working hard and it is sad that when a teacher retires they sometimes have to seek out a food bank to help stretch their retirement. I get it, we can't act like people do not go get food from food bank that don't need it, there are people that are just that cheap.
It is my goal to always look at the positive. If they show up, they get food. People at the food bank ALWAYS lean on the fact that the food is going to be used. They are not cheap, they are making ends meet. There is a difference. Be blessed!@@k_t530

U help me fall asleep. I don’t really care about what u haul because even though it’s free it’s gross and outdated food. Especially the meat and seafood 🤮🤢💩To each their own
The food received from the food bank is not "gross" or "outdated". Please don't try and shame people for utilizing resources that help the community.
I am so glad I can help you fall asleep. As for out dated and gross food, you are entitled to have your own opinion but as of today, I have never gotten sick on the food so it was good. Have a happy holiday season. Oh, and thank you for your comment, it helps my channel.
