Now all future characters will have to be on his level or even higher (considering this is the first character we have of Natlan, next ones might just get better and better). Enemy wise if they put a lot more stronger and durable single targets, Neuvillette is a lot more easily powercrept.

She gonna be paired with Mavuika in an instant, she don't have synergy with Bennett and can have clunky rotations with Xiangling's energy issues yet she is a big sign to be a good vape carry with her massive damage in a small AoE.

funny enough i played on ipad for years and yelans skill was very east to control for me, and then tried to play genshin on PC and have so much trouble controlling the skill with keyboard mouse 😂
If anything I think she is more like a hydro lyney in the fact that she has a very high damage potential but is decent in a practical setting due to the fact that they could be a clunky to play.
I think there is already a pattern in releasing some characters that appear strong due to their multipliers, but have lots of caveats in gameplay. All released in x.0 versions. Yoymia, Tighnari, Lyney, Mualani.

Why even call it a bug? It is a very situational tech requiring some setup and a long desk for mouse movement. It isn't increasing tick rate against a single target as far as I know. Most people will only succeed in using it against trash mobs. Most of the time you would just sweep those 2-3 mobs in front of you for maximum dmg
condering her caveats(which she have tons), her doing absurd dmg is kind of justified to be honest because she is the first functional foward vape dps, especially if she is competing against neuvillette in hydro catalyst dps slot.
Being able to forward vape without weird team comps could also let you use them on different sides while not having too much competition for teammates. But idk we'll have to see.

She doesnt really need to touch neuvilette even if she is slightly weaker in gameplay than neuvi she'll still have a bigger advantage over a lot of other characters that isnt a pyro dps simply because she is hydro and has access to all of the games most broken reactions , so any enemies not immune to hydro she just trivilizes because of her element and her kit is being built for dmg , in short even if she isnt exactly on neuvilette's level because she is a hydro dps she is still worth it if you dont have or dont want neuvilette

Because she doesn't hit a million per hit? Not only does she deal great damage, but she also makes exploration easier and cooler one character can't be the best at everything, thankfully you can skip. Besides, we'll have all the final details on release for now let's just take it with a grain of salt.

To me, it will highly depend on how she will play in practice once we actually get to try her out. People are all saying she can powercreep Neuvi, but to me, Neuvillette is a one man army with every QoL + insane damage and if she only gets close to his damage level and not everything else like he has, I don't think there is that much powercreep. If she manages to stay on this level during the whole beta, it would actually create more of a ''second Neuvillette'' situation than ''powercreep'' one imo. But dragon > shark for me so rn it's a skip (need pyro archon)
Thing is, in single target, many teams have Neuvi beat, it’s no surprise, but when AoE is mentioned, no one can compete with the size and girth of the hydro dragon. But fr she is more of a hydro hu tao, big single target damage with a bit of clunkiness, but Neuvi will still just biden blast all requiring 0 IQ and deal insane damage.

I don't understand why they'd release another hydro catalyst dps so soon. Where's hydro shielder? Electro-charged buffer? Freeze buffer? Just do something fun and unique.
Neuvillettes strength is not necessary his damage, its comfort. He deals good damage in a flexible, manuverable way, with some of best AoE in the game. He has access to self sustain and has dynamic field time due to the way his sourcewater drops work. Mualani doesn't have that, her setups are clunky at best, she's almost exclusively single target, can only work in 1 type of team archetype and has strict on field requirements to deal the same damage that Neuvi does. So no, she won't be stronger.

All the Natlan characters we've seen had movement based kits, Mualani surfs and makes contact with enemies to setup her damage, Kinich has to rotate around the enemy to do damage. Maybe the archon will also have a kit that encourages constant movement?
I saw Kachani with new set can give like 50% damage bonus easily... Add her alongside petra zhongli (35% damage bonus) Kazuha (30-40% damage bonus) and Geo resonance (15% damage bonus) Mualani can get ~135% damage bonus... Combine that with her HP scaling... she's going to deal insane damage
If you enjoy sayu gameplay but want more damage shes very good in that regard. She does a lot of moving around enemies to mark them and arranging moments so that she can maximize her stats. It can be clunky for some and fun for others
Yeah that's pretty much my stance on it too. As good as Neuvi is, just holding down the left mouse button to kill everything on screen is... not exactly what I consider engaging gameplay.

Yes, the content is being power creeped. The abyss is constantly getting more difficult to the point that multiple people are starting to lose their 36 stars.

Her hp scaling makes vape ironically weaker (can't use Bennet's attack buff, and therefore can't fully abuse international). She'll skyrocket with Mavuika tho

I missed out on Arlecchino to get Neuvilette in 4.5. Making Mualani who's some random Natlan girl as strong as a Hydro Sovereign who can fight on the level of Archons and who just recently came out pisses me off to no end.

@@nobody-xh6ii I'm not sure about numbers, but i have to say Childe/Xiangling is also way more versatile, cause of the huge AOE damage, also, xiangling will have problems on mualani teams, cause of her ER, probably someone on the team will need favonius for this team to work. It will probably be fixed with a new pyro subdps.

The instance of a shark bite is what is single target, but her actual damage will be AOE as long as enemies are marked in a similar fashion to how Nahida deals her damage. She does benefit from playing in vaporize since she can forward vape every hit however considering that at a baseline her raw unvaped hydro damage is already greater than Neuvillette's, saying she's vaporize dependent is a bit of a stretch.
Maybe it’s just me, but I think future characters we think “ are broken “, will actually just be the new standard when it comes to dmg. I think what it’s meant to be “ broken “ now in the future, depends on QoL, Supports and the actual kit itself, instead of how much dmg a character does.
Too early in beta to guess anything we will see how she fares, even if she comes out strong i am not seeing her powercreeping Neuvi, she looks around the same level as Arlecchino, with more quality of life, atleast right now.
Not sure where you are getting that from. V1 Kinich is very close to Arlecchino level, and Mualani has way higher dps than Kinich. Even if Mualani has a potentially clunkier kit the raw damage is still difficult to compensate for.
I will never understand how people call a dps "neuv level" when what neuvillette shines at is being easy to use and having good aoe. You can't make a dps neuv level unless they have those same things it isnt like neuv has exceptional dmg. No, his dmg is actually pretty average without cons he just does that dmg so consistently and easily that he became tje best dps

How I see things, Mualani is going to be new best boss killer in Genshin Impact. Being very single target oriented and likely harder to play helps to balance her out, which is why I don't believe she power creeps Neuvillette as some have been speculating. Still, her multipliers are so high that I expect them to be nefed at least modestly during the beta.
Considering her AoE potential seems a lot less than Neuvi's, I would expect her actual damage output to be higher than his to make up for it. Otherwise she really wouldn't be competitive in any scenario. At least this way she should be the better pick in single target situations whilst Neuvi would still be better for greater numbers of enemies. I'm not sure what her best team would be though, she's clearly intended to be able to forward vape given how slow her NAs are on the surfshark, but then you need someone to passively apply pyro first. Xiangling obviously can, but Mualani scales with HP so Bennett is not good with her, and playing Xiangling without Bennett leads to massive energy issues. Thoma procs from NAs rather than passively so that doesn't really work either.
The issue is mainly how we lack pyro applicators since the only ones we have are thoma, xiangling and dehya at best. Since the game started we have suffered with pyro dps and nothing else. xiangling solo pyro team already exist with neuvillette, her er needs aren't that massive when you can get two skills per rotation and can use fav or kitian since she's just an enabler so her dmg doesn't matter

So, HYV tried to pull a Barbara on Neuvillette? Between 3.0 and Nilou’s premiere, Barbara had a Dendro tech that would have made Nilou obsolete on Day 1. That was “fixed” with a quickness, no 9 month wait with a rerun in between.

There's no way to powercreep him, his AOE is huge + Really good damage. He can also use his spin for even greater AOE. Mualani is really good, but it is the same problem as other characters, theorical damage vs Actual damage, Hutao is damage sealing is super high, but her aoe is terrible, so she can't compete with a lot of the actual dps's.

Her _"execution cost"_ (as in the difficulty to pull her rotation off properly most of the time) will bring her team's actual DPS quite below the theoretical max values, so it would be safe to assume both the best (2 E, 4 full stacks, 6 NA no misses) and worst case (1 E, 0~1 full stacks, 6 NA 3~4 misses) scenarios, as enemies are getting quite mobile and even teleport around.
They won’t because they know how much influence Neuvillette has over the community as proven by the recent drama. In fact this will lead to many people hating on Mualani which can give way to them nerfing her and instead using Kinich as their main cash cow for 5.0

I would only say as of now, She is the Strongest DPS in the game at levels of C6 Furina Vape Plunge levels. At C0 she can do 1.3 Million Vape in a Good Build Xangling team. She is Opposite to Neuvillette she hits Slow but powerful. She is like Navia but Minus NA & Q. that's Mulani playstyle. Neuvillette isn't got any powercreep because we already have Arlecchino and in some way C6 Furina. Milani is on same level just better than Arlecchino. Its about whether you want Neuvillette DOT or Mulani Slow Big Numbers.
She assumingly will not apply hydro frequently, so Kachina will most likely only react with pyro from Xiangling, which would mean no buff for Mualani for the most part.

Honestly it's pretty much Neuvilette fault. Now all future characters will have to be on his level or even higher (considering this is the first character we have of Natlan, next ones might just get better and better).
Enemy wise if they put a lot more stronger and durable single targets, Neuvillette is a lot more easily powercrept.

She gonna be paired with Mavuika in an instant, she don't have synergy with Bennett and can have clunky rotations with Xiangling's energy issues yet she is a big sign to be a good vape carry with her massive damage in a small AoE.

If anything I think she is more like a hydro lyney in the fact that she has a very high damage potential but is decent in a practical setting due to the fact that they could be a clunky to play.
I think there is already a pattern in releasing some characters that appear strong due to their multipliers, but have lots of caveats in gameplay. All released in x.0 versions. Yoymia, Tighnari, Lyney, Mualani.

Why even call it a bug? It is a very situational tech requiring some setup and a long desk for mouse movement.
It isn't increasing tick rate against a single target as far as I know. Most people will only succeed in using it against trash mobs. Most of the time you would just sweep those 2-3 mobs in front of you for maximum dmg

Being able to forward vape without weird team comps could also let you use them on different sides while not having too much competition for teammates. But idk we'll have to see.

I really don't like the way this character is balanced. Ppl focus too much on the neuvilette comparison and don't realise that once abyss becomes balanced around 100k dps neuvilette will probably be the least negatively affected unit out of our current dps roster.

Because she doesn't hit a million per hit? Not only does she deal great damage, but she also makes exploration easier and cooler one character can't be the best at everything, thankfully you can skip. Besides, we'll have all the final details on release for now let's just take it with a grain of salt.

To me, it will highly depend on how she will play in practice once we actually get to try her out. People are all saying she can powercreep Neuvi, but to me, Neuvillette is a one man army with every QoL + insane damage and if she only gets close to his damage level and not everything else like he has, I don't think there is that much powercreep.
If she manages to stay on this level during the whole beta, it would actually create more of a ''second Neuvillette'' situation than ''powercreep'' one imo.

Thing is, in single target, many teams have Neuvi beat, it’s no surprise, but when AoE is mentioned, no one can compete with the size and girth of the hydro dragon.

He deals good damage in a flexible, manuverable way, with some of best AoE in the game. He has access to self sustain and has dynamic field time due to the way his sourcewater drops work.
Mualani doesn't have that, her setups are clunky at best, she's almost exclusively single target, can only work in 1 type of team archetype and has strict on field requirements to deal the same damage that Neuvi does.
So no, she won't be stronger.
I think on relese she will be like Nilou, good but not top tier until Mavuika comes out and fixes her problem that she kinda needs xiangling, but either way im pulling she looks so fun

All the Natlan characters we've seen had movement based kits, Mualani surfs and makes contact with enemies to setup her damage, Kinich has to rotate around the enemy to do damage. Maybe the archon will also have a kit that encourages constant movement?

If you enjoy sayu gameplay but want more damage shes very good in that regard. She does a lot of moving around enemies to mark them and arranging moments so that she can maximize her stats. It can be clunky for some and fun for others

@@nobody-xh6ii I'm not sure about numbers, but i have to say Childe/Xiangling is also way more versatile, cause of the huge AOE damage, also, xiangling will have problems on mualani teams, cause of her ER, probably someone on the team will need favonius for this team to work. It will probably be fixed with a new pyro subdps.

The instance of a shark bite is what is single target, but her actual damage will be AOE as long as enemies are marked in a similar fashion to how Nahida deals her damage. She does benefit from playing in vaporize since she can forward vape every hit however considering that at a baseline her raw unvaped hydro damage is already greater than Neuvillette's, saying she's vaporize dependent is a bit of a stretch.
Maybe it’s just me, but I think future characters we think “ are broken “, will actually just be the new standard when it comes to dmg. I think what it’s meant to be “ broken “ now in the future, depends on QoL, Supports and the actual kit itself, instead of how much dmg a character does.
Too early in beta to guess anything we will see how she fares, even if she comes out strong i am not seeing her powercreeping Neuvi, she looks around the same level as Arlecchino, with more quality of life, atleast right now.
Not sure where you are getting that from. V1 Kinich is very close to Arlecchino level, and Mualani has way higher dps than Kinich. Even if Mualani has a potentially clunkier kit the raw damage is still difficult to compensate for.

I will never understand how people call a dps "neuv level" when what neuvillette shines at is being easy to use and having good aoe. You can't make a dps neuv level unless they have those same things it isnt like neuv has exceptional dmg. No, his dmg is actually pretty average without cons he just does that dmg so consistently and easily that he became tje best dps

How I see things, Mualani is going to be new best boss killer in Genshin Impact. Being very single target oriented and likely harder to play helps to balance her out, which is why I don't believe she power creeps Neuvillette as some have been speculating.
Still, her multipliers are so high that I expect them to be nefed at least modestly during the beta.

Considering her AoE potential seems a lot less than Neuvi's, I would expect her actual damage output to be higher than his to make up for it. Otherwise she really wouldn't be competitive in any scenario. At least this way she should be the better pick in single target situations whilst Neuvi would still be better for greater numbers of enemies.
I'm not sure what her best team would be though, she's clearly intended to be able to forward vape given how slow her NAs are on the surfshark, but then you need someone to passively apply pyro first. Xiangling obviously can, but Mualani scales with HP so Bennett is not good with her, and playing Xiangling without Bennett leads to massive energy issues. Thoma procs from NAs rather than passively so that doesn't really work either.

The issue is mainly how we lack pyro applicators since the only ones we have are thoma, xiangling and dehya at best. Since the game started we have suffered with pyro dps and nothing else.

xiangling solo pyro team already exist with neuvillette, her er needs aren't that massive when you can get two skills per rotation and can use fav or kitian since she's just an enabler so her dmg doesn't matter

From the leaks ive seen she is first half, and Kinich is second. They also appear in the trailer in that order so that confirmed it for me.
So, HYV tried to pull a Barbara on Neuvillette? Between 3.0 and Nilou’s premiere, Barbara had a Dendro tech that would have made Nilou obsolete on Day 1. That was “fixed” with a quickness, no 9 month wait with a rerun in between.

There's no way to powercreep him, his AOE is huge + Really good damage. He can also use his spin for even greater AOE. Mualani is really good, but it is the same problem as other characters, theorical damage vs Actual damage, Hutao is damage sealing is super high, but her aoe is terrible, so she can't compete with a lot of the actual dps's.

@@Solairexz its pretty easy to power creep him, just make a character with no cooldown time then make their scaling 10x higher than his, then after than just give them an 360 aoe skill that's spammable and big enough to clear abysse rooms and a ultimate that makes them invincible.

I don't find that either interesting or healthy for the game. There are already tons of carries that barely see the light of day because of how weak they are compared to recent units.
I dont see a new reason to pull here, but this gives another option to players who want a strong hydro who isn't neuvillette everyone wins. And if you dont like her you can still get him or the hydro hydros
Her _"execution cost"_ (as in the difficulty to pull her rotation off properly most of the time) will bring her team's actual DPS quite below the theoretical max values, so it would be safe to assume both the best (2 E, 4 full stacks, 6 NA no misses) and worst case (1 E, 0~1 full stacks, 6 NA 3~4 misses) scenarios, as enemies are getting quite mobile and even teleport around.

They won’t because they know how much influence Neuvillette has over the community as proven by the recent drama. In fact this will lead to many people hating on Mualani which can give way to them nerfing her and instead using Kinich as their main cash cow for 5.0
There’s so much potential for different element weapon combos but hoyo just keeps doing the same shit over and over. Navia and Itto, Arle and Hu Tao, now mualani and neuvi. If she was a hydro claymore with the same gimmick I would be much more interested

I would only say as of now, She is the Strongest DPS in the game at levels of C6 Furina Vape Plunge levels.
At C0 she can do 1.3 Million Vape in a Good Build Xangling team.
She is Opposite to Neuvillette she hits Slow but powerful. She is like Navia but Minus NA & Q. that's Mulani playstyle.
Neuvillette isn't got any powercreep because we already have Arlecchino and in some way C6 Furina. Milani is on same level just better than Arlecchino.
Its about whether you want Neuvillette DOT or Mulani Slow Big Numbers.

She assumingly will not apply hydro frequently, so Kachina will most likely only react with pyro from Xiangling, which would mean no buff for Mualani for the most part.

And again a hydro female main dps didnt exist until now. would be a huge letdown if she was mid.
