    Im trying to get into my detached garage. I cant find my key, my code for opener. And the locksmith costs $500 to get in. Probably more as that’s what i paid a decade ago when a tenant did the same thing

    Funny thing I noticed in this why isn’t the mount not bolted into the wall which gives them wiggle room to push there arm str8 threw with the mount bolted down...pay attention ppl !!!

    Wait, so does this mean every time we open our garage door, we have to cut/remove the zip tie? This sounds like too much of a hassle to put a new zip tie every night

      No, if you use the opener it is not affected in any way. This is only so that the disconnect can't be pulled from the outside and they roll up the door once the opener is disconnected. In case of a power outage or a broken opener you should still be able to pull down on the cord with enough force to break the zip tie. The coat hanger isn't strong enough to break the zip tie.
