- The Renault Austral has just landed on Irish shores and it's not one to be missed!
In a packed segment it's difficult for manufactures stand out, however with a few nice upgrades the Renault Austral differentiates itself well.
The stand out feature is the 4 wheel steering which is available on higher spec models. This makes driving around town superb and extremely easy.
There's plenty of great bits of tech in the new Austral, however the most impressive piece is just how easy it is to drive for an SUV. With a turning circle smaller than a Clio, it's easy to live with around town.
In Ireland it's only available with one powertrain which is a hybrid. Amazingly it has some really strong regenerative braking meaning it recharges very easily. The battery powers two electric motors which are paired with a 1.2 litre turbocharged petrol engine. Combined they have a total output of about 200hp and are very efficient too.
3 isofix points (two in the back and one in the front) make this car attractive to families in Ireland who have more than two kids.
With some gorgeous styling, a nice infotainment system and some great suspension (which was tested on Irish roads) the Renault Austral E-Tech Hybrid makes a compelling argument for it being your choice within the segments.
We definitely advise you head down to your local dealer and take one for a test drive.
Thanks so much for watching and we hope you enjoy the review. - Фільми й анімація
Had one since July and I’d say the best car I’ve owned no questions asked
Got mine on the 1st September absolutely love it
The 4 wheel steer is brilliant love all the tec and getting 55mpg
Best Mid size SUV by far
The 4 wheel steering doesn't get alot of coverage, it isn't even mentioned on the renault website.
Mine seems to be so noisy in petrol mode is this normal ? .Also the EV battery seems to lose its charge really quickly after a few miles .It goes from full power to 1 bar within 10 miles
How much does it cost to drive? And how many horse power?
we've gone back hey ,2L diesels did this way better
Hey, keep going back then...
fair enough@@dasbose4962
Passenger seat has no lumbar support, like at all, zero, its the worst I have experienced in my life. The drivers seat has some lovely features, but you just can't have such a terrible passenger seat. None of the reviewers, none, have picked up on this.
No offense, but nobody mentioned it because simply nobody cares about this feature :)
There's so much to go wrong with that ...and it will because its a Renault
Comment about nothing
