If you have not got the Tax exemption for your food business YOU NEED to make it happen right off the bat!!! This will save you money every time you buy ingredients.
I live in PA where we don't have a tax on food. According to PA sales on baked goods sold from a private home are not subject to PA sales tax. What about through a 3rd party such as CastIron? This gets really confusing. I am paying tax on packaging for the product, but I am not suppose to tax it? I am confused. Can you help? I can't seem to get a straight answer any where. I am just opening my cottage food business.
what about collecting sales tax with your food truck? I know you must during regular days but what about caterings where you charge for the whole package? thank you
Hey Johnny great question! If you buy online from a vendor outside the state they may charge sales tax so it would still help! ua-cam.com/channels/iY_lNURQNeJbcBFMiMRNqw.htmljoin
Hey Donnie thanks for asking as a reseller you can get a resellers permit/ and if your prodcuing a product the wholeseller would need a copy of the resellers permit. ( ie ingredients and the like . When buying supplies to produce a final product that will then be resold.
Hi, I just form an LLC for my home baking business on January 2021, Since I only going to sell baked goods, are these taxable and do I have to file sales tax each year? Thanks!

Ok so for the tax colelction check with your states tax office for some states home absed food busineses wont be required to collect and remit BUT some do. So when you get your business license ask if your required if so you will be put on a 3 month 6 month or annual tax collection remitence program
