Unmistakable Paul Brady in his younger days. Wonderful voice, a lot of charisma and he knows well what he's doing and where he's heading. I love this performance, thanks to all who made it happen!

one of the greatest songs ever. that's the song that first introduced me to Brady, probably in the late 70s, maybe early 80s. I was so impressed I eventually ordered 2 of his albums from overseas (his 'rock' stuff) and I was not disappointed at all, in fact they are still 2 of my favorite albums of all time ... but the best thing I ever had of his ear his album with Irish fiddler Andy McGann ... just Andy on fiddle and Paul on his amazing guitar ... I'm from Cape Breton and had grown up listening to and accomplishing fiddle tunes (more Scottish style but with a good helping of Irish as well,) but Paul's fiddle accompaniment guitar playing was a totally new style to me and changed the way I accompanied fiddle tunes from them on.

Many years ago a friend of my, a man called Phil Lynott brought me in to listen to Paul Brady music and to this very day I have not stopped listening to Pauls music since that time, he is a most brilliant singer and songwriter, I love his earlier folk stuff, the Homes of Donegall hits me each time to I hear it. I have also loved Willie and Mink DeVille from the very time I got to her their music and i was very lucky to haven got to see Willie and his Mink DeVille boys playing live in stage several times. I got the greatest shock when watch this video to see Willie Devill paying drums for Paul Brady, that made my day for sure

Incredible song from a great album. Great backing band. Arty McGlynn (RIP) and Jimmy Faulkner(RIP) on guitars, Fran Breen on drums and not sure who's on keyboards. Paul's singing playing and songwriting in a league of its own. The album Hard Station, which contains this track, is a classic. I remember buying the vinyl , which I still have and it never left the turntable . It was a radical change for Paul but one that brought him international recognition at last with Tina Turner and Bonnie Raitt recording some if his songs. . A treasured talent . Thanks for posting
