They were rehung onto ball bearings in 1994. They would do with a complete rehang really. They’re fairly tricky to handle. The tenor is the only bell that goes brilliantly! I was ringing it in this video and it handles great.
A lot harder work to restore though - a small insect gets in your tower and ravages it, plus you can cast the metal ones into bells, much more reliable than metal straps. Wooden headstocks are why quite a few rings in the UK are now unsafe. But they do look very traditional and characterful.
This heritage building is nice looking
They look like they do with a clean.
Lovely tenor.

Hello@@JamesJoynson
@@JamesJoynson james is the treble on the frame above the tenor and 9th?
@@nickpodas5636 Yes. And the 2nd
These are very grand.
Tenor handles like a dream! The rest are a bit of a challenge, but they are a grand old fashioned 10.
Good Afternoon@@JamesJoynson
Needs new fittings and retuning
The bells don’t need tuning they sound good. Just need new fittings and a new frame for the 1 and 2 bell because that 2nd tier kinda looks weak
I honestly hate metal headstocks, I prefer wooden head stocks because they have more character in them.
