Prayers for those in western Iowa hit by Friday tornado. My friends had a beautiful acreage and they lost everything! House, barns, sheds, silos and trees all gone in 30 seconds! They really don’t need another round of storms!

I call it “backwards spring” we seem to go through it every year.
Prayer for you. People don't take SAD seriously. I had a good friend whose life was ruled by it.

Good morning Mitch and all blessed by God. Still loving that stormy intro to your post. I don't see any green fuzz over the West Coast. San Diego has been sunny and beautiful around 70 degrees but with chilly wind popping up. Kansas City strongly noted here so heads up KC. 44 degrees and foggy, we got a lot of rain here in the Soo yesterday. Baby C update: She is still in the NICU, having many therapies each day. The trach thing is working ok so far. Such a brave little one to go through so much 😢❤️

Nebraska (Gretna) is seeing hard rain at 8:45am. Normally, this would be a gift and great sleeping weather. But Elkhorn (ten minutes away) is trying to get things put away and covered up. Not to mention this afternoon if all of that debris is airborne with a tornado. Please keep those prayers coming. Iowa has adopted the phrase, many hands make things happen. Farmers can tell you how true this is when they have to get crops out but just can't for whatever reason, farmers ALWAYS jump in.
Always praying for God's farmers and ranchers. Prays for all who were impacted by storms.

Sioux FALLS is in South Dakota and Sioux CITY is in Nebraska/Iowa like right on the border. When I was little I had a teacher who always said "If Sioux falls, it will land on the city". Does it make sense? No not really. But do I still remember it? Yes😂
My daughter and family just made the trek from Fla to N Nebraska ….. moved back to a ( generation ) family farm. I fly so I was asking her about Sioux Falls vs Sioux City etc. I’ll tell her the diddy

Former KC guy here, are you there? I grew up in the south suburbs then on my own in Westport.
Your in a enhanced risk area for KC. This evening is your threat time. Awareness time 5pm to 9pm, noaa weather radio, phone for alerts, fully charged, be safe.
Highest I am seeing is around a 3-5.
Ohio valleys turn with tornado outbreaks looks to be next week. I hope this storms stop being so intense it is worrying. At this point I am just ready to give up worrying about it. Who honestly wants to live in this world anyway it is crap. Our government is corrupt and everything is expensive. It is sad to see all these deaths and destruction. I just pray to the good Lord he watches over us

On the KS section, what are all the 3-letter locations on the map? They’re not balloon stations or NWS offices. SPC mentions these locations in their discussions and I see them on the SARS inset on soundings but I can’t figure out where a legend would be
I believe it's the International Air Transport Association, IATA used to identify airports and logistics. Always a 3 letter code. I hope this helps. Be safe in the KC area this evening

There is a chance both days, but i'd especially watch tomorrow. Although storm coverage will be isolated.
