I watched all the classical variations this year and honestly this was the only one that I truly enjoyed. There were others that were very good, but... There's something about this young woman that has me glued to the screen every time. Simply gorgeous!
Absolutely breathtaking! It's a crime she didn't receive a prize! To be honest, I think that generally the Prix is too harsh on the female contestants. This year, if I were giving out the prizes (just as a lay person), I would have given them to Jisoo Park, Harrison Lee, Rina Kanehara, SeonMee Park, and Mitsuru Ito (in order from first to fifth, based on both the classical and contemporary variations). Again, as a lay person, I can't understand why she wasn't awarded anything! She has such elegance, poise, control, and musicality!
South Korea is producing some amazing dancers. And this beautiful ballerina is one of them. Bravo.
