I stumbled upon Butte, on my way to British Columbia, what a charming town and I will never forget the scenery along the highway....how breathtaking the mountains were. Shall return one day

The images from my first roadtrip across the US will be with me forever...i remember thinking i was living out a dream when i was driving along the highway and staring at the mountains. And then came all these gorgeous little Small Town America Villages. Butte was awesome. Enjoy yourself...are you just going for a scenic tour of the US. If so get to the Grand Canyon, i never thought about it when i was down so close!
Caroline Dordolo Well, we managed to go through August, 2014, but the weather was soggy when we went through, so we weren't much able to catch much of the sights. We managed a couple dark pictures of the Berkely Pit from the viewing area, but that's about the most of it.

I love the Copper King Mansion. I look at it sometimes at night and try to imagine some pampered bird in a golden cage singing to herself with sad notes as she is forgotten and packed off like so much useless garbage. It is hard to grow old when your vampire has lost his sense of direction. To feed him or not? That is the question. He is a cracked violin, wailing with pain at his toothless fate of insignificance.

It's funny because the Pekin is the worst restaurant in Butte! I live here so if you want Chinese in Butte go to Soho.
What?! I love Pekin! Though maybe I have rose colored glasses. I moved to Dallas years ago and man what I wouldn't give for a good pasty or a John's porkchop
