- Hi all!!
Happy new year! I hope 2022 brings a wave of success for you - both in the fish room and in every day life😁
This video is what I would classify as a long video, so definitely make sure you just ease into it and enjoy it.
I go through each tank, talk about it’s purpose or what it’s purpose is going to be and some general info about the fish I have in each one.
I have a slight feature of BN fry harvesting…again in this video because we have just been so successful lately with them.
I then go through my mom’s tank where my L397 plecos live and the red cover blue rim discus are growing out. I show you guys the two most beautiful pairs of Rams in this tank and some very adorable bumblebee gobies!
Make sure you watch right to the end! Please like, comment and SUBSCRIBE!
Thanks

Great fishroom tour, beautiful tank full of baby rams
Thank you! I love that tank because each of those little guys wait for me before each feeding session - such a special feeling as a fish keeper😀
Such a great video! Loved seeing all the tanks and all the different variety of fish and tanks!
I appreciate that so much. I just thought it would be good to show everyone what’s been happening with all the tanks lately 😆
@@JustinsFishRoom yeah man absolutely!! So good!
Happy New Year!!
You too!!!
Happy New year! It's what you make it so let's make it a good one!
Happy new year!! Sounds like a plan!
Fantastic tour. Thanks for sharing. I have a cobalt blue angelfish that thinks it’s one of my tiger silver dollars!
Hahaha that is too funny 😂
Hello Justin and happy new year🎆🎆🎆 from what I have experienced the care and raising of fry by the male bristlenose plecos can vary a bit ,some are great dads, others need improvement. You are doing fantastic with your husbandry of these fantastic fish. Such a wonderful gift to your mother for Mother’s Day! Cherish every moment my friend, may blessings continue to flow into your lives for all time🙏
Thank you so much and thank you for the info about the general behaviours of BNs when spawning - makes a lot of sense😀👍
I hope that you too have an absolutely event filled and wonderful year. May this year be filled with peace, love and lots of fish🤣😁
Justin's Fishroom amen brother🙂👍🏻
There's divorces and affairs in this tank hahahaha that literally had me laughing
Haha yeah, it’s a soap opera in these tanks most days. Thanks Dustin! Have a great day
Nice looking fish room
Thank you 🙏🏼
I’m excited for this one!!! 🤓

Thank you so much and hope your year is one filled with a lot of awesome events! You too, my friend 👍
@@JustinsFishRoom thanks a lot!!!!!
Cool video Justin
Thank you so much👍
Happy new year, just came back from a cold fpv drone session at 350am
Happy new year! That sounds very interesting! What was that for?
@@JustinsFishRoom just for the fun of it, haven't really had places to fly so I went to a close by parking lot which was empty. Just recently got into this hobby, basically just like I did with fish keeping.
Currently keeping watch on charging LiPos at the moment while watching this video.
+ I got way too much time on my hands.
Do you run a auto water change system or do you manually water change?
Absolutely awesome video Justin! Enjoyed the fishroom tour. all your setups are stunning! All your fish r looking so healthy! You should be very proud of yourself ☺️. I've always known bristlenose Plecs to be really gud at bringing up there fry. I've had two large spawns and they are all doing great and I think I have another spawn in the process. Plus my gold rams have Spawned which I'm super excited about!. I should be getting some blue black rams and black devil rams soon.. keep up the amazing work buddy. Happy New year!!!!
Thank you so much! That is very interesting about the BNs. I am quite confused about their lack of parenting skills but hopefully they shape up a bit more in that department:)
That is such exciting news about your Rams and your future breeding projects! I look forward to hearing more about them.
Happy New Year to you too!!!
Just had my first pair of super red bristle nose spawn and dad took care of all fry up til they left the cave. So not sure if it’s always the case.
That's awesome Adam! Yeah, I would say that anything to do with biology doesn't follow strict norms and patterns hey :)
Hey bro,First of all happy new year, I wish this year brings you more health and success in life
If you don't mind May I ask you abt the covid situation and flowerhorn popularity in australia, good day
Hi there, mate! Happy New Year to you too!! Covid is currently still quite an issue in Australia, however, the majority of the population are vaccinated and so the threat of covid seems to have subsided quite substantially. In terms of flower horns, I know there are a few very enthusiastic breeders in Australia that absolutely adore and are slightly crazy about their larger cichlids:)
awesome
Thanks 🙏🏼
Thanks for the tour Justin! I had a question for the professional ram breeder haha I have a pair that are attached at the hip always together for about 2 months now they were a bit young but have put on a lot of size since having them. I have a 29g with 6.8ph 13gh 4kh and 80 degrees. I’m just curious if they’d be able to breed in these conditions? I’ve been feeding lots of live bbs the female has a nice belly on her. If it’s not possible for them to breed in these conditions can it hurt her not being able to lay eggs? Thanks for any help also forgot to mention I live in Arizona and my lfs had them in hard water with a higher ph they seem very active and happy with beautiful bright colors!
Hi there, Nick! This is a great question and brings up a very good point. Rams are a lot more hardy than we think. Your parameters are fine for breeding. Now it's just a matter of stimulating the spawning through cold water changes and creating a lot of nice secluded spawning sites for them to choose. Welcome to the channel from Aus:)
This is a great tour! Your fish room is really amazing. I love your rams and plecos :) I don't know if it's true of all plecos, but the cave-dwelling ones are notoriously bad parents indeed.
Hi great to see you post I have a question what do u feed your corys or do u just let them just clean
Thanks! They just eat the remainders from the Rams:)
happy new year
Same to you:)
My Blue- eyed Lemon male just had babies with a chocolate/ brown female. Will they have a chance to be calico or will they all be brown? Love the videos!
I believe they will all be brown or wild type as that is a dominant gene that will mask the recessive lemon blue eye gene.
@@JustinsFishRoom Thank you! If it turns out differently I’ll let you know. I cannot find one thing online or UA-cam about breeding those two together. Keep up the great work and I Love your Super Red’s! They are beautiful
Thanks 🙏🏼
Happy new years bro
Happy new year to you too!
You do so well raising Rams, id love to see how you go with other fish. Sure, keep breeding rams but id also love to see other possibly harder to raise species and see how well you do :) Maybe you should try spawn frogs and raise them :D
Thanks Bobby! Very true - I like the idea of having just a handful of completely unique species to keep it interesting. Frogs...I think there is already someone breeding millions of them down South but I will keep it in mind haha :)
Happy New Year!! For the future, maybe state how many gallons each tank is. Also, what do you do when your GBR'S mate with EBR'S or Blue Blacks?
Thanks for the suggestion! I will do my best to make sure that I am stating volume:) I am more than happy to answer those interspecific hybrid questions as I study genetics at uni so I can give you a very extensive explanation. Message me on Instagram:)
@@JustinsFishRoom Sorry! I don't have Instagram!! I just mean that if you breed GBR'S with Blue Black's, the line will be crossed! Thought you only do straight breeds?
@@michaelmachos8969 I do only breed pedigree to pedigree unless I am doing an outcross to strengthen the genetics of the resulting offspring. In this crossing you still get some dark fry and you can use those to cross and then get an even better quality fish.
Just subscribed buddy
Welcome to the community!!! Let me know if you have any questions🙂👍
i remember you from somewhere but i don’t know where. did you study at craigslea ?
Hi there, Trent! Yes, that’s probably why you may recognise me🙂👍
Nice
Thanks Caleb!
What temperature °f do you have for your Rams? I currently have mine set at 68°-72°f
And I’m wanting to ad Rams to it. Some have said that I would be better off with Apistogramas but I don’t know.
I would recommend apistos with those lower temps too, my friend. Rams like a temperature of between 80-86° Fahrenheit🙂👍
👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Andrew!
What tds you keep the rams at Justin ? I have a group of blsck rams coming .
I am usually not too concerned about TDS but a good rule of thumb is to try keep it under 100ppm and even better if it is below 80ppm. Hope this helps:)
Hello!
Do you think is there black ballon ram long fin ???
I’ve bred a black balloon ram but I believe there are black balloons in sweden
@@JustinsFishRoom i have never ever seen that one . Do you have picture??
@@taeyoungkim4301 I don't but I have seen someone post on a facebook ram page a few weeks back
Do all your tanks get 25% daily water changes?
Hi there, my friend! Not all the tanks do. Just the tanks with plecos or fry in them 🙂👍
Hi mate how do I buy your fish
Hi mate! Please follow my Facebook Aussie Ram Farm for updates. Stock is not available all the time as I am only a hobbyist but I do large releases a couple times a year:)
Wish my local fish store had better quality Rams I bought 2 and they died within two days.
This is why I begun breeding my own
Breed your own and make the quality better in your area once you find a good pair 🙂👍
