That's exactly what I think, each time I listen to it I feel the same strong energy, it never fades, even when I've already listen to this like a million times. This is fucking lit.
The instrumentation is the main reason Im so addicted to this song. Something about that opening riff. Then at around 1:14, the instrumentation changes to what I immediately picked up as either a sample or an interpolation of “And I Love Her” by the Beatles. Then goes back to its original instrumentation. I really like that a lot.
The transition between the chorus and the verse is the best I've ever heard. It literally makes you high. talented, brilliant, amazing, show stopping, never the same, completely not ever been before I can physically feel my heart rate drop as it transitions into the chorus Didn't really think much of her music, but this is just breathtaking. It's absolutely ethereal.
I cant explain how this song makes me feel, as soft yet cold and melancholic. Just as the waves in the west coast maybe.... Damn, what was life before Lana. We are blessed
Trust me once you started getting know about Lana del rey's songs you are never ever going to stop, it's just like the red wine, the older it gets the better taste becomes.
honestly, the 'overly gay' kid in my class lets everyone constantly know he listens to her (to the point where it's more than just annoying), which was indirectly/subconciously the reason i never checked her out, but since i've accidentally listened to one of her songs i can't stop. she genuinely makes good music
I had to check out Lana after Snow on the Beach since Taylor is my my no.1.Going through some of her album tracks listening onmy phone I thought it's ok.When I started to play her songs in the car which has that full sound , the songs started sounding a lot better. Now a few months later she has become my favorite female singer of course after Taylor.I have never heard such a beautiful voice as hers ,and the way she can sing a simple word and make it full of emotions is just unreal.

I've always had intense respect for Lana Del Rey - I listened to her throughout high school, college, and graduate school for both entertainment and inspiration. She is able to make music accessible at a pop culture level while incorporating aspects of high culture and historical references. I still remember traveling to Italy to meet a family friend and listening to "Blue Jeans".

Mpumelelo Lindokuhle Eeerrr... I respect your tastes but to me BTD isn't half as good as Ultraviolence and Honeymoon (I still love it though, don't get me wrong)
Even though her lyrics mostly talk about getting high and dating sugar daddies there’s a sense of iconicness in every one of her songs. Can’t be described
This songs is interesting because it quotes, references other, older songs. For example that "Oh baby oh baby" is from Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks, who is of course from the West coast...
My thoughts. I found her by all those Diana videos. The song reads: will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful. Beautiful song, Video games another I heard thru YT shorts. Then this tune..... Its beautiful lyrics and sounds. I really listen to her dailey now. I dont no any more songs just those 3.
If you like Lana Del Rey, you’ll love the new pop sensation Ana Lou! Check out the NEW music video “Cali Girl” HERE- ua-cam.com/video/ySyXHKP-4mg/v-deo.html
This is one of the most intelligents videos I've ever seen from an artist. I love analysing videos like that, and Lana certainly nailed it... I personally see herself shared in 2 Lana's: The one that follows love and the one that follows power. When she starts singing until the chorus, it looks like the "happy lana", having fun in simple places with the man she loves. When it hits the chorus, you see her smoking cigarretes with this old guy she clearly doesn't love. You see the changes in her voice. She sings beautifully, but she seems sorrow, unhappy, sad. And when the chorus ends, she comes back to be the happy lana. By the end of the song, she is consumed by fire. It is like she chose to lose her soul to the unhappy Lana, who's losing herself to the fires, and while that happens, her soul dances among power and her pride. Like she's not regretted. It's BRILLIANT. If you read this, pleaaaaaaaase watch the video with that in mind and comment here what you think! I had to get high on weed to understand that. Lana is a Genius!!!!!!!
Is it weird that when I listen to Lanas music and watch the videos... I feel like we're best friends? Like... it feels like I actually personally know her and it feels like I have a best friend in her? It's not even listening to music.. it's... you put her song on and it's like she's there just chillin' with you and she just understands you? I've literally never felt like that toward music before and it's just... incredible. I love you Lana
Everything about this screams perfect to me, the music, the lyrics, the video and of course Lana. Just gorgeous piece of history here, it's a shame it isn't bigger than what it is, because it's life changing.

wow now i need to do this
I assume you have a dedicated playlist for that feeling/moment?
I can only dream to do the same... as a passenger in an open top eldorado, with a smoking hot 50-something suited gentleman at the wheel... xD
This isn't a song, It's a feeling.
I still can’t believe she hasn’t won a Grammy!! She blasts the competitors out the building! Dammit lol
Amy winehhouse the greatest ♥
It's a shame right?
Elena Fox she doesn’t need that shitty award which is manipulated by big labels! She is damn cool!
Well she's not a great preformer
Grammy needs her :)
Ultraviolence will always be my favorite album. Such a masterpiece
Steven Kunhardt An extremely underrated masterpiece
+Steven Kunhardt I agree this, Shades of Cool, Ultraviolence, and Brooklyn Baby XD
+Steven Kunhardt ME TOO
+Steven Kunhardt I dont know if it is a masterpiece as an album. But some of the songs in there are definitely masterpieces, Such as Cruel World, Shades of Cool and West Coast
Mpumelelo Lindokuhle
Eeerrr... I respect your tastes but to me BTD isn't half as good as Ultraviolence and Honeymoon (I still love it though, don't get me wrong)
Her vocal performance is haunting, eerie and depressing yet poetic
what a beautiful description!
Even though her lyrics mostly talk about getting high and dating sugar daddies there’s a sense of iconicness in every one of her songs. Can’t be described
I love the sudden shifts in tempo
The guitar riff is a sample from "And I love her" by the Beatles
I’m actually a quite new fan of Lana, and I cant tell you enough how out of all the other artists, her song takes me to another world, like heaven
Trust me, listening to Lana is the best decision you're ever gonna make
Welcome ❤
This songs is interesting because it quotes, references other, older songs. For example that "Oh baby oh baby" is from Edge of Seventeen by Stevie Nicks, who is of course from the West coast...
In the exact same boat as you! For once youtube made a great recommendation for me lol
My thoughts. I found her by all those Diana videos. The song reads: will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful. Beautiful song, Video games another I heard thru YT shorts. Then this tune.....
Its beautiful lyrics and sounds. I really listen to her dailey now. I dont no any more songs just those 3.
west coast isn't just a song it's literally an aesthetic
@mpcCgqjF why are you here then?

She always does 🖤

She’s queen 👑
As you should. Lana is a goddess and therefore should be worshipped properly 🛐
ME TOO :)
❤
Leonardo Romão i just love the way you interpret the video! beautiful beautiful beautiful!

It's the guy when he was young and then it's him feeling guilty when he is old in the chorus because of what happened in the born to die music video.
Leonardo Romão I love your interpretation and the last line "i had to get high on weed to understand that" made my day haha
Maybe that's what she wants
+Isabella Victoria maybe you are best friends with her in a parallel universe.
Flyer321 YOU ARE A WONDERFUL PERSON
Isabella Victoria Aww thanks.
SAME !!!!!!!!!!!!11
This song is more aesthetic than the West Coast itself.
as if you have been to the west coast shut up
No hablo tacataca
@@naomimaldinado9930 dice q esa cancion es mas aestetik (o como se escriba) que el propio west coast
this
Yaaaaaaaas
this never gets old.
Everything about this screams perfect to me, the music, the lyrics, the video and of course Lana. Just gorgeous piece of history here, it's a shame it isn't bigger than what it is, because it's life changing.
