My mother showed me this. Before removing the real cookie dough.kind of move the cut cookie dough a bit, then remove the dough on the outside like you did/ do. For some reason I find it to help remove the dough easier from the cookie cutter. thought I'd share because I care. If you'd like try this and get back with me.
