Hi Keemi 👋 Just wanted to point out that the laundry machine isn’t broken. It’s normal for it to make those weird sounds. A lot of apartments are tiny in Paris so they have those small condensed washing machines! It spins like a hamster wheel at crazy high speed. Hence the loud noises. I remember wiggin’ our the first time I used it
So I just got back from Paris on Friday and I got the same Starbucks cups! Also check out the Monoprix, it was my favorite for souveniers. And I think the washing machines sounding like they are breaking must be normal because the one in our airbnb did that too!! Have fun (and the metro actually gets really easy to navigate)
Ahaha Kimi it is normal in France to put salt in your dish by yourself, simply because some people like the dish more salty and others as less salty... the restaurant seasoned the dish with moderation to allow customers to deliver the pepper and Salt by themselves
French people don’t tip others more than 1-2€, because the tip is already included in the bill .. 😆 if you can, I think you should go to Notre Dame at night time (it’s much more beautiful) and these day there are projection of film on it (like at Disney on the castle)

You should go to a ''parapharmacie'' if you want to see more variety of skincare products, it's bigger and cheaper than a random ''pharmacie'' where we mostly go to buy medicine 😉 And you don't have to tip in France, you can give 1 or 2 euro if you want but you really don't need to.
So many comments telling them what to do .. first of all - maybe they don’t wanna spend all their money on food. One meal a day at a nice restaurant is fine and eating cheap the other two is great .. stop acting like they don’t know what they’re doing. One tip i could give is to not eat in touristy spots (they scam u).. it’s harder to communicate outside the touristy parts but I promise that it’s worth it !
