This was about as amped as I've seen em and this was show number 16 I think.

It was a great night. Mikael was in top form. The band sounds sick. Mikael has a fantastic, dry sense of humor and is very charming. Kept us in stitches the whole night. The set list was insanely awesome. Superb show 🤘🤘🔥🔥

One of the best things about Opeth shows is Mike's humor. It's almost half concert and half comedy show. Good setlist, but my main gripe is they continue to close with Deliverance. They've been closing with it for well over 10 years now 😵‍💫

@@frogerteisenhower5693 was at this show and DC, and I've seen them 16x ironically, and these were the 2 best shows I've seen and I go back to 2003/Deliverance era. The band seems super energized by Walteri, Mike's voice (especially the DM growls) is the best he's sounded overall since those early era shows, and yeah, Deliverance has become a legacy song, almost no way they can avoid playing it mainly because to me it's a landmark iconic progressive death metal song - you just can't argue that point much tbh. Great footage and the King's Theater is probably the nicest venue of that type I've ever been to (and I've been to about 500+ shows in my nearly 60 years).

@GMHG777 Fantastic show for sure. Hopefully they do a second leg next year. Deliverance on the setlist makes total sense but would be cool if they would switch it up and close with something different. I hope at some point to hear serenity painted death, a fair judgment, bleak, godheads lament, moonlapse vertigo and so many more.
