Innova Dart. Slightly smaller but similar to the Aero. Big Jerm = Aero. Nate Sexton = Dart.
MVP Spin in electron plastic or fission if that's a thing 🤷 vs DD Deputy because my neutron spin is more neutral than a under-stable disc because it flys more like a 3/4/-1/.5 and my DD Deputy in burst plastic is pretty true to its numbers and reliable for turnovers and I can hyzer it and count on it to move over a bit off a straight line.

The Aero wasn't just *some* old disc, it was basically the first modern disc.
Literally every single disc on the market is, in some sense, a response to the Aero.

I have an aero and love it, however I don’t bag it because I feel like it takes 3 disc slots in my bag with how freaking domey it is. That or if I don’t take an extra disc or 2 out it feels like it will get warped.

I loooooove the glitch it has turned me into such a better thrower. It has me being more conscious about the angel I throw discs on since the glitch just sticks to whatever line you throw it on

Great review. I went hard for the Aero last winter because my winter league only uses 3 speed or less discs.
I bought two of the 40th editions aero and 80$ for a OG aero.
The Aero is a lot bigger, heavier, and domey, so in those ways it's not just different from the Glitch, but most disc golf discs. That said, it IS neutral for its size and speed, but it's a completely different slot than the Glitch. It's a longer distance thrower that fits more between the approach disc and midrange slot, whereas the Glitch is more a touchy approach disc that can double as a catch disc. While a lot of people don't bag the Glitch because it's too light, the Aero is bigger than conventional discs, so won't find it's way into a lot of bags because of that profile. I had them both. I trade my Glitch away, and held onto the Aero, but don't bag it.

The Aero was made off the OG Eagle mold after the Aviar. Both these disc were the furthest flying discs of their time. Aero was made to fly less then the Aviar more control. For that reason it was not as popular, but still an excellent design.

I've had the same aero in my bag for 20 years but now it's only used for backhand approaches that need to get right quick. Would love to get my hands on a halo one to try out.

The flutter on the forehand Aero shot reminded me of the way a guitar string vibrates when you pluck it. I think it has to do with the fps on the camera? Super trippy!

Do total eclipse discs have a denser rim than the flight plate? Or are they the same density since it's the same plastic? Because that would just mean it's a non-gyro disc that's molded weird. Very curious how that affects the flight as well.

Total Eclipse plastic has a denser rim just like Neutron or Electron. It's not the same plastic as the flight plate, though both glow in the dark. Usually rim glows dimmer due to the weight filler.

Big fan of the aero, I currently bag one. You should try the dart, it's like a baby aero.
What was the weight on this glitch? Some of the Gyropalooza boxes had 164 & 165g glitches, curious if those higher weights are more stable.
They're more stable but have less glide.

I bagged an Aero for a while this year. It's a fun disc if you throw it correctly. My problem is that I can't throw it hard and correctly at the same time. lol. If you get any wobble out of the hand with the Aero it's going to be bad. The Glitch is a more forgiving disc than the Aero is. I can throw the Glitch harder than I could the Aero. Perhaps I'm throwing them wrong and they aren't really meant to be thrown hard but I like to throw hard so needless to say I jumped into the bandwagon and have been bagging a Watt lately. lol.

Disc golf is a bit odd because even though technically the Aero is the oldest modern "style" disc, the Aero you're throwing is in no way the same as the first runs of Aeros. And that's true for lots of older discs. Manufacturers tweak the molds and keep the names because names sell discs. Plastic quality changes and improves; molding equipment, technology, etc. all improves over time.
It's kind of like that old proverb about the ship where the question is (loosely), if over time you change all the parts of a ship as they break, is it still the same ship? If you change 10 tiny things about the Aero over time as things change/evolve in the sport, is the Halo Aero you're holding still actually an Aero?

Dude aero was the very first disc golf disc. Originally called the eagle.
In my opinion I thank the glow glitch is more os then the original plus it’s 164g I think if they make them again to make them max weight 😊

Do you think the aero is more wind resistant than the glitch? That’s the reason I don’t bag my glitch is because I can’t trust it in the wind but I love it’s flight
didn't have too much wind today, but my guess is if you can get a clean release then yes, if not then probably not

How about an aero only round? Not a very fair comparison since you have been throwing a glitch a bunch vs first time hucking an aero.
The Aero and Dart are very uncomfortable in hand to me. I don't bag my Glitch but it's much more comfortable. The Watt is the equivalent to a max weight slightly more stable Glitch.
I truly feel like my gyro glitch is considerably more stable than my neutron ones. The gyro glitch i got is 164g

Anthony complained that the Eclipse wasn't as stable as expected. I was going to comment that the Watt is my favorite stable Glitch (since you can put a bit more power into it before it flips)
you gotta do a review of the full Yikun roster they have a disc the same as the AERO they are such underrated.

@@quproduction1107 the yan, I got it in a mystery box. pretty sure all yikun models are clones of existing molds (not saying other companies don't do that). the yan was not to my tastes. impossible to throw forehand for me and unpredictable in the wind. not really a disc to play catch with either, IMO. I like some other yikun stuff, though. their premium plastic is a great bargain.
The Aero is not a stable glitch lol. I've been dabbling in aeros since 2007 and it is so much faster and almost just as flippy. The new Halo Aero's have slightly more stability, but I think the glitch flies better.
