I agree, I wish that either map offerings would be changed or removed or that sac wards would be a brown offering or at least significantly more common that map offerings
Sacrificial ward should be more common. Then it would be up to either party to burn it and if you don’t then don’t complain about the map offering. I’ve had countless ppl cry about my Scratched Mirror Myers cause I burn RPD or Midwhich, I’ve had even triple the amount of killers (usually Billy, Bubba, Wesker, other M1 killers) who get salty end game and say we only won cause of the Gideon offering. Like okay….so you’re saying had it been a map that would benefit you then you would win…ironic.
I love the way you play Killer, you don’t show your frustration because you know the game and what the survivors are doing. It’s admirable to me, because I get easily frustrated as Killer, and I need to remind myself that the game IS based on luck
I play dirty if I see a map offering though I wish DBD would show if survivors are in a party. Usually get "no skill" comment. I did one yesterday. In Badham. Basement in Main and they were all there while I chase someone. Got a down in basement, snowballed from there as they tried to rescue too fast before I could even leave.
Every time I see dredge I remember the time I betrayed my random teammate that was clearly a baby Dwight. It was the swamp with the boats I forget the map name. I knew a dredge was in a locker that he recently broke the lock on so I walked up to the locker but not too close and I pointed at the locker next I ran to find Dwight. He was on a gen nearby. He was the only one on death hook so I gestured for him to follow me and he did like a good friendly learning survivor and his trust was his down fall. I took him to the top of the big boat and right to the dredge whom was surprisingly not afk and still in the locker. Dwight clearly didn’t understand why the locker looked different but with enough pointing he walked right up to the locker. SNATCHED the dredge grab him took him straight to basement below the boat and then proceeded to tunnel me out for betraying my team.😅
I'd rather they keep map offerings, but make them be a guarantee that you will not go to the selected map instead of going to the selected map. No more RPD!

If you don’t want a certain map then burn the White Ward, simple. The one who benefits from map offerings is more the killer cause the killer will know who they will play, they can choose a map that will be greatly amplify their power. Survivors don’t know who they’re going up against so most map offerings aren’t to hinder the killer but one they’re good at looping in.
exactly im like otz tf u on abt u can use map offerings also and plus survs can't see who the killer is in lobby so how they know its an disadvantage to ur killer😂😂
It sounds like a good idea in theory, but players would intentionally use that to troll and be annoying. Let's say a new chapter comes out with a new map, and players want to try it. Some cheeky bastards would use the offering for the new map, every single time just to mess with people. I think neither party should be able to choose a map at all. Because the ones actually use map offerings, are killers with really fkn annoying builds that only work on certain maps. Or annoying survivors that want to run 20 loops on badham.
@@Hunko115 Overall I wouldn't mind the loss of map offerings, but I would be sad at not being able to force Lerys for Scratched Mirror Meyers. He's no good on any other map.

Toxicity like the stuff shown in these matches make it so exhausting to play Killer. It’s nowhere near as bad as with Survivor. Getting tunneled or camped? Cool O can just go to the next match. Getting bled out? I can just open my phone. But a SWF bully squad? Doesn’t matter if I just give up and check my phone because Survivors control the pace just as much as Killers do, and if they don’t want to do gens and just bully me I’m just fucked.
Def a killer main 😂. Bully squad swf is the closest thing survivors could do to the killer back as toxic and surprise surprise, they never like it. Suddenly the “I don’t play by your rules” mumble jumble talk is gone.
This is why I run sac wards instead of bp offerings. And if I run out, force close so I don’t go against the same boring scratch mirror midwich offering 10 times a day
I love that on youtube kids 2024/1984 we have to censor out the bad words that Chucky uses now. Or risk demonitization. Darth Darva, let the rage flow through you.
"Just trying to survive"? If they weren't a bully squad that teabags and brings map offerings, then sure. But they bring the map offering, they teabag and they bully. Reason enough to get tilted when you HAVE to bring sacrificial ward to avoid being sent to the most survivor-sided maps every other game.
I've never been bothered by map offerings. There aren't any particular maps that are bad for killer, but there are some that are just really small or have few resources on them and arent fun to play. For the most part- when I have trouble, it's not because of the map I'm on- it's the people I play against
As a solo q survivor i mostly use maps when i get bored of being sent to the same couple of maps over and over again by the game, or to just change the scenery a bit like from dark maps to maps with more natural lights. Not every map offering is used for toxic purposes 🤷🏻♀️
That’s an idea but then that falls heavily more into the killer’s benefit again. Currently killers burn a map that will benefit their power, survivors usually burn a map blindly without knowing who the killer might be but a map they might be better at looping in. If it’s changed to what you suggested then then the killer would still simply just ban the map he/ she is not good in and be sent to a long other map he is usually good in. For example Billy can make good use of most maps cept maybe lerys might be a bus bad so he burns that so now he is guaranteed not to have a bad map while on the survivors, now burning a map offering is blind and even more useless than before.
This video feels really hypocritical to me - “you can’t put in a map offering because it’s rude to do something that increases your advantage, but I can camp at 5 gens because it’s something that increases my advantage” Especially when the Garden of Joy match didn’t have anything that was toxic or bully squad like. They were just playing normally.

I feel like over time, you've lost your composure, and at the slightest nudge, you get put in a bad mood, which sets the tone for the rest of the game. I guess you stopped seeing tbagging as challenging the killer, and more as just pure BM - even when it was the case.
This is why I've started bringing sacrificial wards as a survivor. It prevents sweaty killers and sweaty survivors trying to get every advantage they can.
Sometimes survivors change to the same character because there are already 2 or 3 of them and it's funny, not because they're supervillains trying to ruin the innocent killer's life...

If I ever played DbD, you'd only ever catch me on killer with 999 Sacrificial Wards in my back pocket.
I feel like I might be biased since I'm more of a casual player but I actually enjoy having map offerings since it allows me to play in maps I like (RPD or the "Welcome to Canada" one for example while playing either as a killer or a survivor). Some player might use them because "Meta" but surely most people use them because they just like the map right?...right?
BTW, this video was awesome as always!
Same, sometimes I want to see the cool science lab (Hawkins) or see the daylight after a bunch of dreary green Autohaven maps (Coldwind/Ormund). Theyre great to have right now too with certain realms boosted for the anniversary weeks so you don't just see the same 3 realms on repeat
@@lunaliciousgeekI almost never use map offerings. But this week I've already used more than I did in the last 7 years because I'm getting tired of having the Vecna map 95% of the games (without any offerings involved)
I sometimes like to use offerings to send myself to my favorite maps but it can be annoying when people send you to the same few meta maps over and over again. I think they should try to adjust and balance the maps that people use most frequently.
"Gennifer Loopez" made my day.
You really took a dump on those 3/4 Aces. Love to see it. I bet they were expecting a little less resistance than they got.

Otz discovering the same Wraith strategy as TrU3.

I really appreciate the exposure you're putting on map offerings, it has been a LONG time coming. They DESPERATELY need to go.
Wait.. maps can be survivor/killer sided? I just brought map offerings cuz sometimes I'm in the mood to play a certain map.
That ace did what I call a "taunt to get bodied" combo 😂
I had a bully squad a few days ago while playing as Sadako. I caught on and just chased them demateralized, and they couldn't head on or body block.
44:49 what is this red thing around gen? I didnt play for awhile. Is this some new mechanic or perk?
29:42 I got distracted for a bit and then only heard "I HATE WOMEN" being yelled from my browser. Almost got me, ngl
I love the way you play Killer, you don’t show your frustration because you know the game and what the survivors are doing. It’s admirable to me, because I get easily frustrated as Killer, and I need to remind myself that the game IS based on luck
Ah Yes, my "Otzdarva Law" technique , haven’t used that since the heian era
Survivor mains: Camping and slugging is so toxic. If you camp and slug, you're a LOSER.
The survivor mains in question:
I play dirty if I see a map offering though I wish DBD would show if survivors are in a party. Usually get "no skill" comment. I did one yesterday. In Badham. Basement in Main and they were all there while I chase someone. Got a down in basement, snowballed from there as they tried to rescue too fast before I could even leave.

i use every map offering as a "Not RPD" offering lol

Because there’s always ONE person in the chat that’s asking hOw dO yOu KnOw
Every time I see dredge I remember the time I betrayed my random teammate that was clearly a baby Dwight.
Remove map offerings, please Entity!
Also, that instant karma on first chase was perfect.
I'd rather they keep map offerings, but make them be a guarantee that you will not go to the selected map instead of going to the selected map. No more RPD!
@@crashingplanes7042I kinda like that idea
@@crashingplanes7042 That or just make it to where if another map offering is set opposing another, just leave it to the server to dictate the map.
@@dat_lamp that just encourages people to bring more map offerings..

Almost an hour of Otz? Hell yeah.
Killers bringing maps that suit them is just as common.
exactly im like otz tf u on abt u can use map offerings also and plus survs can't see who the killer is in lobby so how they know its an disadvantage to ur killer😂😂

Alternate title: Enjoy 5 broken maps as I rapidly deteriorate into pure insanity
They should reverse the use of map offerings so that the offering makes it so that you cant get the specified map
@@Jimbobob5536 True I do get that. But I think there's more harm to be done then good, which feels like 90% of the time.

I feel killer mains take map offerings way too seriously especially in the higher mmr or streamers
I mean a ton of maps are survivor sided/a pain in the a$$ for killers
looping is the most boring thing for killers, especially if your power doesn’t help in chase so yeah…
I love how nice Otz is, like if he says something mean just bc video games make you angry sometimes he apologises in the editing or like he doesn’t throw a tantrum over being beaten in a game, he’s just so chill 😭

Darth Darva, let the rage flow through you.
I love when Otz is really tilted and he starts getting mad at survivors for just trying to survive
For the most part- when I have trouble, it's not because of the map I'm on- it's the people I play against
You haven't played the game.
The thumbnail is op😮
that thumbnail is GORGEOUS
As a solo q survivor i mostly use maps when i get bored of being sent to the same couple of maps over and over again by the game, or to just change the scenery a bit like from dark maps to maps with more natural lights. Not every map offering is used for toxic purposes 🤷🏻♀️
Nobody said they were 🤷♀️ 🤷♂️ 🤷♀️ 🤷♀️ 🤷♂️ 🤷♀️ 🤷♀️ 🤷♀️ 🤷♀️
The worst thing about map offerings is the update that you can't tell who brought it anymore.
What can they even do to map offerings, make them ban a map or realm instead of sending you there?
That first Unknown match reminded me of a somewhat recent match I had where the survivors were doing the same thing.
This video feels really hypocritical to me - “you can’t put in a map offering because it’s rude to do something that increases your advantage, but I can camp at 5 gens because it’s something that increases my advantage”
Especially when the Garden of Joy match didn’t have anything that was toxic or bully squad like. They were just playing normally.
No killer makes me more stressed and frustrated than playing as The Singularity. I love him but damn so many moments just feel bad on them
Killers can bring map offerings too
Id like to say, whoever made this thumbnail, its beautiful. Such a good look of sable.
And even better its not something softcore sexual like 90% of art about her
I feel like over time, you've lost your composure, and at the slightest nudge, you get put in a bad mood, which sets the tone for the rest of the game. I guess you stopped seeing tbagging as challenging the killer, and more as just pure BM - even when it was the case.
Because t-bagging *is* BM. It's always been that way throughout gaming history, especially in COD and Halo
But way more often than not they ARE trying to bully killer, don't pretend it's not the most probable occurrence
That hit on 4:34 made no sense he was already descending nowhere near the same height as that window. That survivor should not have gotten hit. But alas killer hit boxes are so insane D:

Excuse me survivors are you trying to have fun with your friends in a game? That’s illegal!
there’s a difference between having fun with friends and bullying in 4v1 for « fun »
@@maxime_627 yeah the difference is who is doing it. Otz/ayrun and other content creators doing it? Then it's just good ol' fun with friends but if it's random people then they're toxic and should be flamed. Most people only get time for one or two games here and there they're gonna use perks to make fun stuff happen. It's a game, grow up.
Whenever I play with friends we will use map offerings but usually only to RPD as a meme because we all hate the map lol. Will also do it sometimes with new friends to help get them used to a smaller pool of maps while they learn the first few matches.
