I adore my teacher toolbox! I recently purchased one and it is a lifesaver. I bought the exact TPT labels for mine. I also have the wireless doorbell. One thing I’ve started this year in my room, is I have two strands of lights hung up on both of my boards, as well as four lamps (hoping to add more). I cut all of my lights off and have them work silently with just the lamps and oh my goodness. Life changer! They get so quiet & love it so much. I also have the colorful stools at my small group table that the students love to sit on. It makes small group time even more fun.
Thanks for the video!! To build upon sit spots, I have two golden round placemats that my students with “golden behaviour” get to sit on. They love it!!!
My toolbox is my favorite thing ever! Really helps when I need something and a kid can just grab it for me! And of COURSE we chose to use the same labels!
Here’s a handy trick. That you could use with those plastic buckets. If you are using dry erase markers in something and don’t want it to rub off, put some sticky tape over the top. Then when you are finished with it then you can peel the sticky tape off and rub it out.
Hey!! First off- CONGRATS!! Start making a list of questions you have for people at your school about anything and everything! That way when they say, let me know if you have any questions you can pull out that list and ask away!! Never be scared to ask! Also start mentally walking through the school day and write down every procedure you want your students to learn then write the steps you’ll use to teach them! You’re gonna be great!!
New subscriber here, this is probably my 5th video of yours I’ve watched tonight and maybe my 3rd comment? Anyways, I’ve watched a BUNCH of setting up classroom videos recently and EVERYONE has that teacher toolbox. Your video just convinced me that I need to figure out a way to adapt a version of this for my desk at work (soooo not a teacher, but I hate having all the supplies I use on a daily basis floating around in different spaces in, on, or around my desk. 🤦🏻♀️ Wonder if my boss would care… 😅
❤ Thank you for sharing your tips. I'm going to try the doorbell for my freshman bio class. I think that would make a great alert for them to transition from our bell ringer (aka the Do now) to me introducing the lesson (I do). I can't wait to try it out! I should not be this excited about teacher tingz 🤗 but I am!
Thank you for this very useful video! I am a first year 1st grade teacher this year with a high number of EL students in my class. I am super interested in how did you modify the math games to adapt them to you ELLs needs. Thank you! 😀
So glad it was helpful!! Honestly it depends on the year and the group of kiddos! Last year I assigned spots and mixed them up every once in a while, this year my students can handle choosing on their own but I always let them know if it’s a problem I will have to assign them! Works well both ways 😊
@@mrs_katie_in_elementary would this work with any chairs in the classroom. I have middle school special need students the chairs are alittle bit bigger.
