I worked for Meijer for over 20 years and security cameras and security people are everywhere except bathrooms. They're watching even when you think they're not. Cashiers are monitored for everything they do. Meijer is great retailer and pays really well. WHY would somebody risk their job and a criminal record? If you do something illegal at Meijer, your face is on camera, and they'll get you.
They averaged less than $23,000 per person per year. Would have been less work and better payoff to get a job. $800k 6 people 6 years. They really are not very bright.
Big corporations , if they lose money they just jack up prices. So honest people have to make up for your loss because you can't take money from profits what would the shareholders say? So much for all the fancy security 🤣🤣🤣 and how much did you have to raise prices to pay for all the cameras in your stores? Did the average customer pay for them?
I used to live in a Meijer. Awful place. I usually hid in the center of clothing racks and the lights were just too bright, and all the noisy shoppers during the day were just a nuisance. Because of that experience, I always shop at Walmart now.
Only 3 years, not much of a deterrent for that kind of money!

And you wonder why grocery stores are closing ? Only 3 yr sentence ? How about 1 day I prison for every dollar stolen ?
How about 1 lash for every dollar stolen? A cat of nine tails counts as 9 lashes.
@@billlevassiur5891 that’s a bit harsh

Eight tenths of a million dollars is not significant?
And yet Meijer makes it easier by replacing cashiers with self checkouts?
HIGHER PRICES FOR US ALL!!!!!
Great Job LE.
At this point, those cards are used for more illegal purposes than legit ones. They should just go away.

On the day they are released they'll start to po' mouth about paying the restitution they agreed to pay.
As a former cashier, we were told to take all the coupons. The FES didn't care. (not Meijer)
