This is so typical of Thorne. He is always making impulsive (and disastrous) decisions based on misinterpretations of things he accidentally sees and/or overhears. And every single time Macy is the one who suffers for it. This time it will cause her alcoholism. Next time it will cause her divorce. The third time it will cause her first death. And the fourth time it will cause Thorne to have a baby with her best friend. He never learns.
Thorne looks at Macy as if he is disgusted at her for kissing Jake while he was doing the same with Karen but he thinks ,Hey that’s okay! What a piece of work he is.Macy deserves better.
@@donkeygospel6 I think after the way he grew up, he has learnt to expect rejection as the default response to him by anyone he cares about. I really think Thorne is quite tragic because his expectations of rejection and heartbreak actually tend to become self-fulfilling prophesies. It's a tragedy he is writing about himself without realizing that he's the one holding the pen.
I meant that he is tragic in the "classic Greek tragedy" sense of the word (where a hero's downfall is often caused by a fatal flaw in his own character, aka "hamartia"). The concept of "fatal flaw" fits Thorne better than anyone on this show. Thorne's fatal flaw is his extreme sensitivity to perceived (real or imagined) rejection. And that is really at the root of most of his misfortunes. So while Ridge is (or at least started out as) Don Juan, Thorne is Othello with an internalized Iago lurking in the back of his mind.
Thorne never even brings up the Jake/Macy moment he witnessed in order to get some kind of clarification as to what really happened. So many times on this show someone will see or hear something through an open door, a window, etc. then just assume the worst. Oh well, I guess that's how they keep the storylines going lol.
Welcome to soap operas haha But yeah, it's way contrived and feels like an artificial conflict thrown up to extend their separation even longer just because they couldn't figure out any other use for Karen when their plan to throw her with Ridge fell through. Granted, it's better written than some of the other times B&B has pulled this (namely, Hope and Liam circa 2012 and definitely circa 2020) but I don't blame anyone for rolling their eyes at this.
There is a big missing piece in the discussion between Macy and Thorne. Why didn't Thorne ask Macy, "I saw you and Jake kissing in your office. WTF was that?"
It's plot-induced stupidity. One five-minute conversation could easily have cleared everything up, but then Thorne and Macy would have nothing to do for the next year. So the writers have to go to great lengths to prevent Thorne and Macy from having a normal conversation for six months or so.
Karen: "Thorne, you have made the right choice." Thorne: "I know." Karen love, you are his sloppy seconds. You were always his other woman. You can do much better.
If Thorne was a better husband and didn’t constantly with his family attack Macy and her mother and blaming them for everything and getting his wife sent to jail for something she didn’t do she wouldn’t have been pushed away. Thorne is not a victim.
Jay Garvin and Taylor are perfect for each other. They look like the frosting couples on top of wedding cakes. I vote Taylor launch into a torrid affair with Jay and divorce Ridge immediately so he can go start Forrester Europe with Brooke, guilt-free.
Taylor is talking to Jay Garvin about her jealousy/insecurity issues with Brooke while Ridge is in his office watching Brooke on the Fashion Channel and daydreaming about Brooke, also wondering if it's Taylor who's being unreasonable lol. You KNOW he wants this Europe deal to happen.
@@babs4848 I agree Babs. I actually don't dislike Taylor in general, and I do sympathise with what she goes through. It's just that my first loyalty lies with The Radiant One, and when Taylor gets smug, holier-than-thou or supercilious, I get super-narked. Other than that, I can handle her. Sometimes I even like her.
Sounds like a plan, although I think Dr Jay would have been a great match for Macy. That would have been a great storyline, she goes to him for therapy to heal her broken heart, and they fall in 💕
Well, actually, why did Macy had to live with husband's mistress? Why did Macy's husband kissed and fondled his mistress in the home he and his wife share?
A hard decision to make, really Thorne? You were correct in your self assessment as described to your dad, you are a jerk, and it's too bad Macy never met delicious Dr Garvin, they would have made a great couple💕

If i had a nickel for every time a woman was driven to drug dependency on this show because of a man, id have at least four nickels. Which isnt a lot, but its sad that its happened this many times and only Steffy realized this as a wake up call to get another man.
This Jeff is cute and looks good, why didn't something develop between him and Taylor ⁉️ Ridge is of course handsome and worthy but comes with many problems he and his women...🤯
Once again we have Taylor suppressing her motions as if she's supposed to be above such baseness (she calls jealousy "demeaning"). Classic Good Girl stuff. The other female characters who don't fit that archetype would have no problem acting on instinct. Stephanie would forbid her husband from going and then get the other woman permanently transferred to Europe, Brooke would take one of her indefinite leaves of absence to go with her husband and give the other woman her patented s tank eye the whole time, and Sheila would tank the deal or take down the plane or find some way to make the other woman disappear.
Thorne always jumping without the whole story and looses the woman he really loves,Jake caused Macy trouble again but she’s to nice for her own good,I hated the storyline with Thorne and Macy,They could’ve kept them together and had one happy couple instead of throwing them away.

Brooke is in a foreign country, but the press conference was conducted in plain English. No foreign subtitles or translation. 😂🤣
Dude I was like WTH? We all know French people don't like to speak English
I saw a translator?!
The end of the Thorne and Macy duets.

ooh macy crying was so real
Instead of Thorne talking to Macy, he allowed himself not to sort it out. Don't like him
Thorne is so petrified to be alone. He doesn’t love either woman. Karen should know the reason behind Thornes decision.
Yep. Another Forrester bafoon treating women like trash. 🤦🏻♀️
@@trinit2108 I know, exactly.
I thought Macy would see the flowers Thorn dropped

Because Macy had previously slept with Jake.
Pride for Thorne
He believes what he sees and protects himself from the hurt.
Nice to see Thorne and Caroline getting another chance at love!
He was too hurt to ask ... and this was not the first time ... Macy and Jake have a past
