Real Estate PE is so underrated. When I tell people this is what I want to do theyre like "So you want to be a realtor? You dont need to go to college for that!". Regular IB and PE seems so oversaturated Real Estate seems like such a good opportunity to make real investment decisions and deliver good returns for investors and it gives an opportunity to do deals by yourself. Or raise money from friends.

As a Developer, it’s so interesting to hear from the LP side on how they underwriting the deal. Thanks for the interview!

What an insightful conversation! It's inspiring to hear about Ojima's journey from engineering to finance, showcasing the diverse paths one can take in the industry. The PE Investing Certificate Program sounds like a fantastic opportunity for those looking to delve deeper into private equity. 💼🌟

Great video, I think it would be beneficial to many viewers to cover/interview the commercial real estate industry some more.

Great interview! Really thoughtful questions and answers. I loved how he always drew the line between Resi and CRE, cause you cant paint both with the same brush and his thoughts on the need to develop more - not a conventional opinion.

Those expensive Princeton courses could be learned on UA-cam.

True but you won't get access to Princeton's network. Top-level firms like JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs mainly recruit from universities like Princeton.

Did he work in asset management or acquisitions? Carlyle bifurcates the two roles onto separate teams

Asset Management 51:05. He says as you get to know the market they let you do both.

You can tell he’s a spreadsheet guy because he can’t go half a sentence w/o saying “like”.
