Thank you so much! I never knew about Major Taylor until I researched the first Tour de France, and his picture kept showing up while looking into the six day race. I strive to tell the whole story of cycling in a instinct and entertaining way, his is by far the most interesting. Sorry for not getting back sooner but I took some time off for the holidays.

@@k.a.w1774 , please contact me! There are thousands of black cyclists all over the USA! There are some amazing predominantly black cycling clubs named in his honor from coast to coast and from the Canadian border to the Gulf of Mexico. Hit me up and I'll do what I can to get you connected with a nearby club. I'm on Facebook as Martin Blount, or look us up on Facebook at Major Taylor Cycling Club Los Angeles or on the internet at www.majortaylorcyclingla.com

There are many cycling clubs bearing the name, Major Taylor! Here in Los Angeles, there’s a club named Major Motion. There’s a developmental juniors racing club that has cultured a few professionals too. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas, and this video.

I am a mixed race product of black/white parentage. I have been riding bikes all my life since early childhood (I'm 49 now). I was a top regional amateur mountain bike racer for several years before becoming a sponsored semi-pro ultra endurance racer for nearly 5 years. Nowadays I like to focus on backcountry off road, off the grid expedition and adventure on my mountain bike. Cheers, I just subscribed. #theadventurebiker
