Thank you for this great synopsis of a truly gifted and inspiring athlete who overcame numerous obstacles in order to achieve greatness. If you haven't already, be sure to read The World's Fastest Man.
Thank you so much! I never knew about Major Taylor until I researched the first Tour de France, and his picture kept showing up while looking into the six day race. I strive to tell the whole story of cycling in a instinct and entertaining way, his is by far the most interesting. Sorry for not getting back sooner but I took some time off for the holidays.
Thank you for this video I am a black cyclists in I had no idea about his achievements I don't race or anything but it's just nice to know and I wish there were more of my people Cycling
Me too! Please share this story with fellow cyclists and friends, let's make Major Taylor commonplace in cycling! Plus, I only glossed over this amazing story, I hope you read about him! check out this video. ua-cam.com/video/UIB20zCwEd0/v-deo.html

Truly inspiring, a role model for everyone. When you’re in the toughest of situations you can really shine.
Major Taylor needs a biopic.
Great job Kevin! I had never heard of him or his story. To think he and other racers did all of that on a single gear bike.
