Fun Fact: The building that is the supposed museum that the psychiatrist drives to in order to find the mask is the same one on the Rush album cover for Moving Pictures.
This was on WPIX channel 11 in NY in the early 80s. They drummed it up for a couple of weeks. You could get the mask to wear during the movie at select local supermarkets. My friends and I watched it after a few joints and couldn't stop laughing. " PUT THE MASK ON NOW " !! Hahahahahaha. What a pisser. The so called 3D effects left a lot to be desired.
@@stinkypinkeee5085 I remember watching this on KPLR Chan 11 I think. I was like 5 years old and we couldn't find glasses, so my mom found these blue and red clear plastic drawers. Yeah it scares the living hell out me for weeks. Everynight I would go to sleep and hear, "the out the mask on" and the nightmares would start. Lol good times.
0:10- Ooh, is this when Stanley Ipkiss says "Smokin'" and crushes a clock with a mallet? 0:18- I highly doubt that anyone thought there was something wrong with the projector. Just tell me what I have to put on my face. 0:32- What, watch it again? Pay attention to your own damn movie, trailer guy! 1:03- Hi, Jim. Who the hell are you? 1:40- (As Jim) My niece made it for me in her elementary school art class. I taped it to the fridge, and it mysteriously fell off.
I remember my Mom telling me about seeing this movie in the theater when she was 15. She made it sound pretty scary and trippy. I'm TOTALLY wanting to see it now!
Another movie of the 90's I thought was original, but has another past decades before it. Although the one I knew, with Jim Carrey, was obviously not a horror movie. But it's clear that some scenes in that movie are a reference to this movie.
If the Supreme Authority of All Things Weird says it's good, who am I to say otherwise?
Given that introduction I thought for sure they were going to present instead William Castle.
PUT THE MASK ON NOW!!
I remember watching this on TV in the 80s. I think we got our 3D glasses at a local 7 Eleven or maybe it was for another 3D movie.
Red , green or polaroid glass as this trailor is in 2d.
This is basically now the ad for go going shopping anywhere...

It was pretty cool in 1961
@@BullChitter9 Indeed it was .
I’ve saw the 1994 mask but heck, this one is scary
Looking forward to watching and critiquing the movie
This movie did, indeed, crawl up my spine. Luckily, it was removed without surgery.
Part of the MST3K Season 13 lineup.
That show sucks, people can't think for themselves lmao
Oooh, somebody stop me!
That's veteran actor and animator John Dehner narrating the trailer.
Saw this on a red blue 3d vhs hosted by Elvira and thought the effect was cheesy but fun. 😷 in these uncertain times

It's pretty creepy, but actually a really good movie. I hope you get to see it if you haven't already! And in 3D like it's supposed to be :)
A Secret Fan Thanks I still haven't gotten around to it but will eventually thanks though :D
Coming soon to MST3K

Go Slavko Vorkapitch!!!
Your tie is crooked dude. I don't care what you've seen or where you've been.
he looks more like dr. doom than stanley ipkiss
What's the sense of 3D when it's not in color?
So funny!!
😮😂❤
CHRIST is the ONLY WAY to heaven 🙏❤️🙏.
The Mask will work in a pinch.
The 2021 remake will star Dr Fauci !!!!! 🤣🤣😵💫
😷
Dreadful but made during the 3-D craze where you wore masks and objects seem to come out of the screen.
Somebody ripped-off William Castle's schtick I think.
