I purchased the 12ft 3.25 exodus pro's earlier on this year, can't fault them, superb all round rod, good for casting, not too heavy and very forgiving when playing fish. I'm guessing these are equally as good or better!
I recently got myself some 12ft Prologic C-Series XD (extra distance) in 3,5lbs. Man I love these things. 36€ per rod and it's incredible how they perform.
It's not about the weight of the fish you're targeting, but the methods being used. 20lb line gives good abrasion resistance against snags and weed. Also if you're fishing venues that require distance fishing, you'll want to be able to punch out leads without overloading the rod or the line. That's even more important if you're putting on a PVA bag. That's a lot of force to contend with if you're launching it a long way. Obviously it's nice to scale back and fish light where you can, but modern tips are so good these days that small fish are still good fun to play, so you don't lose too much in the fight even if you're not needing to chuck them a mile.
Just bought one for my mate for xmas. Arrives today.

Please can you review the new top of the range elevate rods now?
Can I ask you a question why do you need rods at 3 - 3.5 tc and 20 lb line for a fresh water fish.
