  • Fashion blogger Scott Schuman (The Sartorialist) came to Madrid to give a masterclass organised by Movistar. Considered by The New York Times as one of the most influential people of the moment, he spent fifteen years working in the fashion industry, but after the birth of his daughter, Scott became interested in photographing people in the streets dressed in a different and innovating way. He decided to put these photos up on his blog, The Sartorialist and comment on them in the hope of creating a two way dialogue about fashion and its relation with everyday life. The main objective of The Sartorialist is for people to become more aware of the street syle and trends around them.
Given the importance of fashion in today's society, Movistar invited Scott Schuman to Madrid to give a masterclass aimed at young people interested in fashion and in the phenomenom of blogging. This is the perfect example as to how today writing about fashion goes much further than what's written in the big name publications and how many other bloggers have been inspired by the work of The Satorialist.
Schuman admits that when he's behind the camera, the idea is not about captuting what's behind the camera, but rather the feelings he gets from it. This has been the essence of his work right from the beginning.
