The Norvise Auto Bobbin was designed to be used with the Norvise. You cannot use the Norvise to its fullest advantage without an auto Bobbin. It surely is different! I think I lost the thread, the first 48 times I cut the thread! Yes I pulled my hair out. I agree the price is high, but the only other auto Bobbin I know of is more expensive and I do not know if it would work or not. The aluminum spools for the Bobbin remain at about $10 US each, I am in Canada so we probably pay $12! I am not criticising your review, I think the most important thing you have done here is to show tyers what is available. I have been tying since 1969 I tied the first ten years with no Bobbin. Then I discovered bobbins and my life changed. I have used many bobbins, up until the Norvise I used the Rite Bobbin. I really liked the tension setting. When I bought my Norvise, I of course went to the AutoBobbin. Now, even if I no longer used a Norvise, I would still use my AutoBobbin. You just can't beat them. I was going to ask about your Bobbin threader. Does it fit through the Norvise Bobbin tube? I have those wire loop styles and they do not, so I use this Monofilament loops they use for flossing when you have braces. If your threader works can you please let me know and tell me who makes it? I am an instructor for Military Vets, we are doing video instruction, I will send them this video. Thanks again! As you can see my name is Kerry, I live in Western Canada.
