Hello Matt, can you do a lift from Morocco to Jeddah in a 777-300ER Saudi Arabian please reply XD
+Boodz G 3 minutes... It took you three minutes...
+Boodz G Matt, please just do the flight :D
+sebi344ify Never give up on a thing that you want
+JuanAn129Music :D
+Boodz G i can do it for you if you really want
Didn't Know It Was Squirrel Until He Mentioned Scania
After watching this, I think I am playing "Prepar2D" not prepar3D lol. You have so nice cloud!
Fly into LOWI often for skiing, and have had to go around twice and divert!
Matt, i want to say thank you so much, you made me get into Vatsim by watching your streams and videos, i was scared at first but i bit the bullet watched your "how to vatsim" series and then took my first flight on monday, with full atc, atc controllers helped me when i needed it and i kept watching your videos on "how to vatsim", to remind me. Thank You Matt.
You and Squirrel are both awesome pilots. Accurate. Erudite. Accomplished. Precise.

Until you fly *together*, and then you become hypoxic.
A joy to watch as always though :P
Great flight Matt... great when Paul is with you✈✈
Didn't know the aerosoft could have a shared cockpit... Epic
That sky and weather textures are amazing
Man, the ideal Flight Simulator would be like this for me: You have an actual character that has to work (fly), sleep, eat and drink. And if he doesnt get enough sleep, food or water he could pass out or something from dehydration or lack of sleep. Fully modelled airports on the inside where you have to go through all of those things like in real life until you get to your plane, and the plane is actually there with you and not something where you go to a button and it gives you loading screen or some shit, and also with AI that roam the airport where they might eventually board your flight or your buddies. An option with multiplayer where players also can work with like towing the airplanes, towing baggage, checking to see if the plane is ready to fly or not and so on, you get what i mean. You can actually see your friends character walking/running, reaching for a knob in the cockpit, and that you can actually walk around inside the plane whilst flying or on the ground, day and night cycle, weater like snow, storms, sunny and so on that are completely random like irl so it gives a bit of a challenge for the pilots. Actual crash physics so when you crash it doesn't just freeze your plane, give you third person view and say "CRASHED" or some bullshit, and ofcourse oculus rift support that works with the multiplayer ofcourse. I honestly would buy it in a heartbeat. Anyone got some suggestions or something they don't like just reply it to me, it gives me some inspiration :D Thank you everyone and have a great day!
GreyFuzzy But to be honest, all you really want to do in FS is fly. All those other things, you might as well just do irl lol. My ideal simulator is based on multiplayer but you need to be certified on the aircraft you're flying. You can't just step into a commercial airliner, you first have to get your PPL, Multi-Engine rating, Instrument rating and then your type rating... all of that can be done offline. Shared cockpit is compulsory and only the highest level simulated aircraft models can be used e.g. 737NGX, FSlabs A320x, PMDG 777, Q400.... You can see every detail of the other aircraft exactly how they would see it if they switched to the exterior view and the vehicles servicing them (GSX), if there is an emergency fire trucks and all the airport security ect... can be scrambled and operated by the ATC, everyone is assigned take off slots and if they miss them by a certain time limit there's penalties and maybe AI passengers (like you said) that can be seen boarding the aircraft and inside the aircraft for the duration of the flight. Lol and maybe if you breach restricted airspace or don't communicate properly with ACT fighters are scrambled to intercept you haha, again it would be other players flying these fighter jets.
i just love the shared cockpits..... but looking forward to seeing the good old Q400 back in action
best birthday present thanks Matt :)
I had birthday yesterday too! o.O
Happy birthday :)
+Matt Davies matt are you a pilot in real life
+George Shaw oh ok thank you
+Matt Davies What did you use to get this shared cockpit
That approach down through the valley then banking right. Good flying there boys! Enjoyed that lots!
+Matt Davies you get dual jetways in fsx as well, AES supports it on certain airports.
You were light, only 4 tonnes of fuel, 48 pax and as far as I remember you did not put in any cargo. Plus you took off with TO/GA and you pulled back the levers to CLB waaaay too late. Plane was still accelerating on the TO/GA setting and you were only doing like 10 degrees nose up. Therefore 320 kts in 20 seconds and +7000 fpm climb rate! :)
You mean at cruise altitude?
That is the correct way to do it :)
Well then I guess you have to thank Aerosoft for the 7k/min climb! :)
I think it didn't let him use Flex because they set Thrust Reduction to 1500, which was the ground level altitude of the airport already - thus only ToGa worked..
INN is indeed a special qualification that needs to be taken pretty seriously. Capt only and not all choose to complete the course. SFO's can also do the course but are not permitted to operate in as PF. Being rostered INN is always an experience, usually ending up with you on a remote stand at MUC!
The funny thing is i'm subscribed to both Squirrel and Matt.
LOWI has a glide path, but only for reference. So, it's modeled correctly in scenery. Technically, it is still a LOC approach, since you won't fly it in APPR mode.
Well it always was flight deck for that kind of aircraft Matt, cockpit is only for small aircraft, usually fighter like, and generally you climb directly in rather than go through the body of the aircraft.
" There you go, now it's just a case of planting it on the ground " !! Spoken like a real Ryan Air pilot Lol. ps love the vid guys long term subs to both you and paul.
Finally a flight from Munich!! Thank you Matt!!!!
Great video Matt! I really love the dynamic between you and Paul. It's great to have some variety from your regular style of making videos alone. Keep it up, all the best :)
I love the approach into Innsbruck! For me it helped doing touch and go circuits there...
I usually take flaps from 1 down to full after Innsbruck, you have a lot of time on the downwind where you just maintain altitude. Prior to turning the 180deg to final I go full config and do the checks.
For the turn you don't want to much sinkrate. Just do 30deg bank with about 1000ft a minute and you'll come in quite good. If you do more sinkrate and don't pull enough you end up left of the centerline and below, just like in this video.
All the weird things that happen when you're in shared cockpit are usually due to lag. It's funny how Matt seems to make everything out as odd or something that can't be explained. It's a pc game or program that has glitches, that's usually the explanation.
I just LOVE these videos!!! I LOVE when your sitting in the same cabin and working together!! JUST LOVE IT, SO ENJOYABLE! If thats a word...
I flew this exact same route in the exact same plane in a full motion cockpit simulator two weeks ago!
Also (and I know this is a nit-pick), the fuel quantity is meant to be read out in KG, so "three thousand nine hundred and eighty kilograms", not "three point nine eight zero tons". Actually maybe that's an Aeroflot procedure and it differs from airline to airline...that's also possible. Since all I had was the Aeroflot checklist, I may be wrong.
31:30 OK, who installed the afterburners?
Matt, if you hit the HDG/TRK-VS/FPA button for a LOC approach the aircraft's LNAV will follow the descent profile. The G/S you are seeing is probably some kind of VNAV path or P3D not knowing the difference between a LOC and an ILS.
Maybe I got an explanation for that Space Shuttle Take-Off:
1) your cargo didn't load in, it's somewhat of a bug, you need to press instant after everything else has loaded to get it to work (I think)
2) in the Airbus Reduction and Acceleration altitudes are ASL and not AGL so that's why Flex didn't work, the Airbus thought you were above Red at take-off, that also explains the Lvrs Clb FMA warning
Hope that helps
I just noticed that your videos look way better on a tv screen than on a normal one 😂
Matt, I think the glide you saw was the superimposed RNAV approach.
Matt, could the issue with Flex be because you put your thrust reduction altitude at 1500 and acceleration at 3000? Are those figures meant to be above ground level as the airport itself is 1500ft above mean sea level, therefore the aircraft already believed it was above thrust reduction which is why it kept saying "LVR CLB" on the PFD?
Just my theory as to what happened. Maybe the figures in the MCDU should have been input as 3000/4500.
My 2 favourite airports. Great video.
You never actually loaded the Cargo. Could that be why you accelerated like a F18 on Red Bull?
Mb the fuel they used just was Red Bull... Kappa
DrBarnabus Adding to the fact that there were only 48 passengers in with 5 tons of fuel AND they performed a TOGA takeoff instead of FLX (because the TRA - Thrust Reduction Altitude was set to 1500, ironically also the airfield elevation).
Just a suggestion, maybe you can brief us on the weather i.e. the TAF at the destination and alternate and the Departure and takeoff brief while waiting for the de-icing to complete :)
Nicely flown. The reason why Innsbruck is challenging to land at are its non standard approaches. As you said Matt, normally you don't have the glideslope on the LOC DME/east approach and need to check your altitude at certain DME distances. Moreover if you're landing on RWY 26 you only have lateral guidance until the AB NDB, the last bit is also flown visually. P.s.: the steep descent angle of 3,88^ doesn't make it easier 😂😂
Well done Matt! Very entertaining!
I did this in a real 737 sim, was an almost perfect landing, slightly spoiled by a dash 8 pulling out onto the runway and lining up (in the wrong direction) at the last second.
Loved it! You should definitely do another video with Paul again😊
that was great matt keep it up. The B777 videos that you make are the best so keep making them. ;)
just as a funny side-fact, the official visual reference point for the turn is not the hill, its the church on the right side of your view @55:06
Great video guys, nice work.
In the take off you just had a lot of power and a quite shallow initial climb. 9 deg pitch minus about 3deg angle of attack, thats only about 6 degrees hill up with FULL TOGA in a very light airbus... Yeah thats gonna fly fast like a rocket. And after the flaps were up the pitch was even as low as 4-5deg, so yeah - That was fun to watch though, I would love to be in an airplane that does that in real life :D yeaahaaa
Could you list the addons that you use in each video in the description?
easyJet uses cost index between 8-12, depending on the weather. I've asked a pilot what it was on my flight to London :)
hi Matt, I don't know if it makes any sense but since December 25th, I CANNOT lock the thrust levers to MCT on the 318-319-320-321. It ended up in a RTO in Jersey as the plane simply set itself back to climb and the autobreak took over as I was running out of runway. I noticed two things 1) I still cannot lock MCT on take off and the aerosoft airbus has a great RTO system ^^. Apart from that yet another great video!
Should have gone around after seeing how wide that turn was made onto final :)
How did you make this look so realistic? Do you use some ENB or is it just Prepar3d standard?
Nice Matt! Great video again :D
Hey Matt, I don't know if i've asked you this before, but do you think there is going to be P3D V4 or higher? Thanks -Phillip
I have an idea talking about the terminal and how it model on the inside every time you start a video board the plane through the gate way
best takeoff ever
Loving the content. Keep it up. You inspire me to get this game and to install some add-ons. Keep up the great work 😂
Yeah Matt if you could do a video on how to do the perf page on the Airbus MCDU pls. Thanks. Great Video :)
Please make a video explaining how to setup shared cockpit.
you download the scenay of every airport of the world???? in all you video i see departure and arrival payware scenary it's incredible but great fly like every video ;)
p.s. what you pc performance?
Hello Matt! I just wanted to know if you are picking real-world flights? and if so where do you get the information about that flight?
Great video as always!
Captains that fly with BA have to be certified by their training captain to fly into Madeira. They have to have numerous sim rides and then an actual flight until they can tackle the approach by them self.
Hey Matt, can you do the British Airways flight from London Heathrow EGLL to Chicago o'hare KORD? They take a 777-300 or a 747-400 I believe.
Munich to Washington with the United 777 would be a nice Flight
Somehow when they took off my head just started spinning like in a real life plane.
+Matt Davies What scenery do you use for Munich and Innsbruck? Does it work with FSX Steam Edition?
I didn't see the Video, but i press like because it will be good :D
Hey Matt you should do another video but with you flying it loved the video by the way :)
Here is a good route for the Jeddah guy, do BAW133 EGLL-OEJN or BAW132 OEJN-LL, and it is operated in the 777
Matt, how many fps do you usually get in the VC? In the aerosoft a320 for example :-)
Nice to see someone fly to LOWI in something other than a Boeing lol
Could you please do Hong Kong (HKG) - Taipei (TPE) in the 777
Hey Matt! :) Just for you to know..i am from Austria and in Reallife there is no Glidepath as fare as I know but in the FSX/Prepar3D Innsbruck LOC freq. there is one, but it is not right of course.
hey matt i have some problems with pmdg aircrafts.....whenever i try to fly pmdg aircraft in any addon scenary it crashesh and says "your computer has run out of available memory" i searched the net but coulden find an answer....hope fully you might help
Matt, you should probably do a flight from Morocoo to Jeddah. That guy's really persistent.
Quick question, used to use fsx a lot, been out of it for a while and would like to get back into it, would you guys recommend FSX or Prepar3D now?
Am I crazy because I´m now watching the same flight at two different channels?^^ ..... Whatever..... more shared "flightdeck" please;)
Hey Matt can you please do a flight from YSSY to KLAX as VOZ01 in the B777 if you could that would be great : )
+Harry Kantor Smith good idea sr haha
I love your vidéos and your CHANNEL !!!!!
+Matt Davies Can you do a flight from Corfu, Greece to Athens, Greece with an Aegean Airlines Airbus A321
Dear Sir, would it be possible to do a flight between Hong Kong and Auckland either with:
Cathay Pacific Boeing 777-300ER
Air New Zealand Boeing 777-300ER or Boeing 787-9
Matt please do the Jeddah flight coz I can guarantee you it will have record number of views for you. Because a lot of people, including myself, will watch the video just to see what-the-hell-is-soooo-specia about it!!!
Could Matt or someone tell me which software he is using to move the view around in the cockpit.
Is it EzDok or something different now?
Thanks
im gonna go try that lowi right now thanks
yeah i only took a cessna for a spin hehe, im not jet level yet, but a really nice place
The cargo wasn't added in the aircraft, which might explain the fast takeoff.
what are you doing that the jetway dock exactly to A320? I have the same but the dock more higher as by ou
Hi I have a problem with JUST paid addons on FSX (aerosoft, A2A c172,...) I have very low fps JUST ON GROUND and I already have problem like this with all my aircraft when i got fsx and I found solution but in this case nothing please help
I have a flight request. Heathrow to Mexico City (I love the Taxi2Gate scenery) in iFly 747 V2 or the 777 :)
Deicing the winglet... Yeah it may not create significant amount of lift but still reduces induced drag. The stabilizer doesn't create lift in symmetric flight either but you sure would like that deiced, don't you. I think you would deice the winglet for consistency. You don't want to let ice form only on one winglet, that could create asymmetric drag with a huge lever. So you just deice them both.
Anyways doesn't matter that much... And its a flight sim so whatever :D
hey matt i have a problem with my aerosoft airbus x extended! the fmc doesnt works as it should, when i try to connect the waypoints it doesnt want to connect tinstead it makes two of the same waypoints. and i cant use the front wheel steering thing. when i try pressing the little button on top of it nothing happens while on my aerosoft airbus a318/a319 it works perfectly fine pls help if u know what i can do. btw awesome vid
hey mat awesome video as wall ways but I have one question . what time do you stream on twitch bro because I keep missing them?
Hi Matt just wondering what flows are you using and where did you get them from? Thanks
matt i have a question, what equipment do you use fo flying like what yoke, and what monitors do you have, thanks, ow, by the way very nice videos
Hi Matt, friend and I followed your setup video, but when it comes to pushback only one of is moving back any ideas why this is happening?Cheers great videos.
Dat Take off 😀 ✈💨
+ Matt Davies Do you prefer P3D over FSX: SE? If so, why? Thanks
How are you moving the "free" camera so quick and smoothly?
Matt, I have always had a question. I never fly in the U.K. for one reason. How to you get a verified SID or STAR? In EU I know you do not pick it. Will ATC Tell you on clearance or how does that work? Also, How do you pick it if ATC is offline..? Thank you! (If you answer.)
Yes ATC would tell you before TOD or if ur offline it’s written on ur flight plan either made by simbrief or PFPX
May I ask you? Can you give me some tips, where I can buy the sceneries for FSX please... :)
Sound is very low! Great video otherwise like seeing you and Squirrel flying. Maybe the Q400 sometime?
Hey Matt can you do Thomson flight from London Gatwick to Sangster Intl as I have been on tht flight before and would love to see you do it :)
Great video Matt!!
+Dorian Zlabrovec I agree. Did you watch it at the same speed as me? It's only just gone live and I've already finished. Wow!
Hey Matt love the videos as always just wondering if you could make a video on how to use the shared cockpit for the Airbus iv been trying for a abut nit no good:)
what are all the addons you are using to make this game this fancy?
