Thanks for the video! I’ve been using the weed-eater along our fence lines since the forage is so thick. I just trimmed our 2 acre ram area and brought up it up to 5 kv. Our fence was around 2.8-3 kv at the start. There was a small tree in the fence line I had to cut by hand. Well, I got a little too close to it. Ouch! Then, I started on the bigger pasture after that. Now our fence is up to 7kv. I have about 20 percent more to go on trimming the fence line. I have 2 nice bulls which I’m only keeping one since the bull I’m keeping the mother breeds back on the first try when we AI her. This year the bulls bred her and she bred back in 33 days. All our calves were born at the end of July beginning of August. I’m guessing she should calf in May and the rest in June.
You want good hindquarters too. It's MEAT, and that muscling also goes to being able to protect the herd... Where the muscling is well defined you definitely get little marbling, the Charolais is a good example. It's meat is very dry. You want a bulky animal for both muscle and fat, male and female...
Diversity in pasture beyond grass is important. Other plants provide medicine, nutrition, health, etc to both soil biome, and livestock. More diverse pasture means the pasture has better nutritional support naturally because the biome is better able to support itself, mycelium and bacteria are fixing, moving and creating nutrition that is poorly supplied by synthetic chemical inputs, or monocultures, including grass only pasture... Livestock grazing on diverse pasture have more omega 3s, healthier fats, other health benefits that then pass on to humans when consuming these products.
Their daughters will have hairy udders and they can't thermoregulate the production of their sperm in hot weather (inferior fertility). Jan Bonsma's Man Must Measure is the gospel.
You cannot argue with success. Greg, you have proven over and over what works. Your pastures are amazing.

Greg, off the topic of AI, WHERE would I be able to buy some of your processed beef?
Great information. Thank you!!!
So interesting thank you!
When’s the next bull auction? I got 4 bred mama cows but will need a bull this upcoming summer!
We take orders for 2025 bulls in January. Customers pick them up June 1st.
What are bulls prices in 2025
You mentioned they have a gut - how would you be able to see this compared to a grain fed cow?
Health and "condition" are one way to interpret gut health. Also likely to see bloating especially around the animal's pancreas in grain fed.
@@b_uppy wonderful thank you
@Mypplz
Glad to help.
Folks who want to AI their cattle: tail painting can be a great way to detect estrus.
Alta and Select Sires are 2 stud companies that have some technicians trained to do it.
Greg, Will a smaller bill like those be able to cover a 1200 lb cow?
Absolutely can get the job done.
Be sure to keep 9 month and older bulls out from cycling females, unless you are willing to risk breeding to occur.
Is “Pasture Raised grass fed” 100% grass?

Why no hair on testicles ?
Their daughters will have hairy udders and they can't thermoregulate the production of their sperm in hot weather (inferior fertility). Jan Bonsma's Man Must Measure is the gospel.
Lower testicular temperatures.
The daughters of them would have hair on their udders. Not a desirable trait for feeding their calves.
Greg, what do you see as the success rate of AI?
Gotta respect a bull who manscapes 😂
