Yeah I understand Magnus going with the money flow, this is a bussiness he wants to grow (and is refreshingly open about that aspect) - but I also miss his early vlogs which were just him doing insane training volume, that pure dedication, he has been my main source of fitness inspiration for way more than a year by now because of it. ..and the large wall climbing, or failing on a high grade project for a week. Oh well, gotta move with the times I suppose, that being said, I do hope he makes some more content like that in the future anyway hehe =)
If he wants to keep engagement better on his main channel he could make a second channel for the "boring" content. The ones that really want to see it would be there
7:50, actually I would like to see more training, if it is really monotonous you could speed it up. But Training to me is a major part of climbing and I would love to see more of it.
Hi Magnus. If you see this, i just want to say that you are my idol and inspirasion for climbing. I realy miss going to Oslo Klatresenter thinking that «this wall has Magnus climbed on»😂. You make my day each time you release a video. Hilsen Odin 14🙂
@@odinmeisfjord1939 Yeah, I did watch Vikings (at least the first couple of seasons). I guess that's a name to grow into, how are you handling the pressure of being named after an all powerful god? All good so far?
Super refreshing to see this kind of content again. Really missed the good old climbing and training, it's what brought me to the channel initially. I would love to see more of this!
Dude this is so cool of you, anyone else involved in a fitness capacity would try to profit from there routines/training guides. You're the most genuine man I know, much love.
Hey Magnus, like another commentor said, even watching you do repetitive movements and training exercises is still entertaining! It's also inspirational because we get to see how hard you're trying!
Idk why but I’ve never watched rock climbing or anything of the sort in my life I stumbled upon magnus from arm wrestling mojo and now I can’t stop watching how great you are magnus keep doing what you do your so great!!
I really love this type of videos man, they've got the vibes of your old ones and this brings back such good memories! Keep it up, you're of great inspiration mate
So excited for a new video to be out, and even more excited that it is another relaxed vlog. I don't climb myself, but I still love watching your videos.
Do more videos like this it’s super helpful! I’ve gone down the endurance training rabbit hole recently and its nice to see how you guys train for routes!
13:44 😳😳😳😳 ok seriously Magnus thanks for all the wisdom .. I’ve been climbing for around 9 months now and it all started from watching your channel !!! Thank you 🤜🏻🤛🏻
3:48 this is the final proof that Magnus just traveled forward in time to meet Rein, his future self that realized his dream of building an indoor climbing gym inside a barn next to a big house!!
I'd definitely enjoy some full training videos, like a series, where you train and explain in a voice over how did you plan the session, about the exercises, etc.
@@k8o181 would be entertaining but i guess he could do very little moves on it (no offence magnus :P), but there are lots of other beautiful better looking lines in the cave.
@@MultiNarf Yeah Ondra trained for 4 years and even said the route might not be possible without his frame and flexibility even if you're a really strong climber
Finally!! I missed this kind of video. Don't get me wrong, all the other stuff lately has been entertaining, but there was not that much bouldering/training involved. This felt like an oldschool magnus midtbo training video 💪 more of that please
Thanks for all the tips! :) To some degree, I've been doing elements of these programs by accident as I just try to get better on my home wall. Magnus, I think the way to get the largest home climbing gym would be to open a professional gym, pay it all off, close it down to the public, and then move into the building....haha
"Take Screenshot" Oh Magnus ... (for some reason I heard Marte's voice saying that) I love the optimism you have, thinking most of your followers are even remotely close to this level of climbing.
Im not sure how i find ur channel almost one year ago but its great. Its really entertaining and i dont get to skip as i do in some other videos. I mean ur realy humble and good at what you are doing and all the colaboration and these VLOG-typed videos are really entertaining. Keep it up!
Hey Magnus, I just wanted to say thanks for the awesome content you deliver. You gave me the motivation to get back in the climbing gym after 20 years off :D
If I ever rock climb in my life I will try it! I have no idea why I like watching your channel so much, I have never climbed in my life, but I have seen all of your videos. I feel like if one day I try and climb, I will have a bit of knowledge. BTW, I was rewatching your videos from your Spain trip. When you can, please go lead climbing outside again and make a video of it with voice over. Even for non climbers, they are really cool videos. You explain it in a way that we can kind of understand. And I'm pretty sure that all the climbers who watch your channel will appreciate them too.
Right now I travel around 1hr 30mins to 2 hours to get to my closet gym. My alternatives are building my own climbing wall which costs a lot but then you have a climbing gym at home, or doing a training course to climb outdoors instead
Hey I really appreciate more of these training videos I would like to maybe try climb at a competitive level and these exercises are extremely helpful.
I just started campusing the underside of my stairs because I’m missing climbing so much. My fingers have lost a lot of strength 😔 (I finally reached the top today tho 💪)
One Problem at a Time I’ve watched a few of your videos!! They’re great! I’m nowhere near as good a climber as you since I’m pretty new to the sport, but maintaining strength for climbing is hard for me.
Have you thought about getting involved with competition in any fashion? Even if it’s just spectating and making a vlog out of it, or commentating, or maybe competing again? Haha, love the videos, Magnus.
Great angles on very efficient training ! Power and endurance together; indeed. Why not?! Magnus nicely put, endurance at the end. There is also power endurance .... for instance in track and field or martial arts. Nice Magnus. Fin vlogg med mye god informasjon ... Good ideas and useful tips !
Dear Magnus, Power and strength are different terms. In the second exercise you trained for strength while in the campus you trained power. I acknowledge that these exercises train much more than strength and power.
Great training tips and awesome exercise motivation! Too bad I already worked out too hard in my first sessions after the lockdown. Please do more videos on workouts and maybe even recovery and nutrition :)
@@avavancil7806 Do you have any tips to avoid hurting yourself while falling? In my gym every boulder has a top out (you get on the top of the wall) and climbing up on that 90° angle is always scary, especially on overhangs where the angle is even bigger.
@matthias I would suggest extra crash pads because I only had one and I missed it, so as long as you have enough crash pads to secure your fall, you’ll be good.
matthias If you’re in a bouldering gym the bouncy floor underneath you to protect your fall should be fine, unless you land really awkwardly. I assume Ava was bouldering outdoors, which is almost always more dangerous.
If you decide to do this again I think that a short clip of the first exercise at the end of the videos would be nice. Watching real life progress in number of moves would be inspiring.
Idk i think watching you push your abilities would be enjoyable. I want to try bouldering so much and thats because of your channel. Sadly there are no gyms near me but I'm gonna start driving an hour and a half to a gym in the city. It will be a challenge for me to do any climbing due to me being 6 10 250 lbs and inexperienced so I like seeing someone push it to the limit

Magnus a lot of us would love to see you doing hard training even when it's repetitive. Personally it's really motivating

i think he did it before his channel started growing because most of his viewers were also climbers.

My university had a bouldering gym called “Red Barn” - it used to be a barn and has been restored internally to suit the bouldering gym.
Rock climbing is a growing sport here in Western Australia, wish my uni had a rock climbing wall.
Went to school in Rochester? I am from Buffalo but I would drive out there every month or two to climb at that Red Barn, fun place
Ayy got a UB Grad over here and we used to climb at the Red Barn a ton, great community, great gym.
