THis is actually the version sung by her Doll that was sold back in the day. This is the first version of the song, she suggested to re record it to make it better, its on a tv special somwhere
3 semitones lower :) Sounds more calm :) I love the differents between demo and original! It showers you how much work singers and producers must put in their work before they realise the song! Great!
@Legendtina that's cuz when she made the video RCA included that version on the 'new' albums, but in the original version of her debut album THIS is the original WHAT A GIRL WANTS version .. and there's even a lil intro u are missing here.. where she sings at the beggining before your version starts :) LOVED THIS VERSION THOUGH
HOw many versions has this song? Cause this one is different too! /watch?v=QNDizT95_lc Also, does somebody know how many demos she has? I know there's other version of Come on over and Fighter but nothing more
This demo has in some parts completly different lyrics than the original version. I prefer the original, because this is like a mid-tempo song and the beats isn't that great. Her vocals are better in the original version (the one that we all know from the album).
This is definitely NOT the original version that appeared on the album when it first came out. I still have the original version (and I'm not talking about the Radio Edit/Music Video version) @Legentina is correct, it's similar but not the same
I love all versions of this song.

I'm so glad I found this! Been searching for so long for this version! Thank you!

I still think the radio version is the best.

You can definitely tell this demo, I don’t detect any comping.

@mtjproducer08 I know the album version and it's very similar but not the same
This is from her June 1998 recording sessions! Thank you!
When I first bought Christina's CD I was disappointed that this track wasn't the same as the video... But I've come to love this version more
💎👍
You’re lucky. It’s not easy to get her debut album with this track of What a Girl Wants. I got second-hand of this many years later after its release.
its definitely not the same... its in a different key :)
I heard this was the version she sang at her first showcase
this is different from the first album version - like at :56 she usually goes up on this part - still an amazing demo though
A voz da jovem Christina é imbatível!
*10K !!!*
This was very close the original version in her debut album (1999).
*20 K* ‼️
i really love it !!!

I give responsibility to my race to learn this vibe by blood and soul and spirit at all cost and surpass it for us for me for everything .

The original version was written by Ophelie Winter , you can watch her here on this link => ua-cam.com/video/pxXhQQYuLhY/v-deo.html
