  • Here we take on a heavily moss infestered lawn and remove it. Moss prevents grass from growing and thickening and must be removed for a good lawn. depending on how much comes out you may be left with bare patches. This is why you put seed down and cover with a top dressing of sand or soil or both....here we use washed sand. YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH COMES OUT OF THIS LAWN. Hope you enjoy it please like share comment and SMASH that SUBSCRIBE button and don't forget to press the bell to get notifications #listentolee

I have 1/2 an acre of lawn and I use 25kg of sulphate of iron and it just burns the moss into black dust in a week or two. No lifting then I put down lime which keeps it at bay for a few years. Just what I do. Love ur video lee glad to see u survived that big hedge. Be careful tipping machinery on its side as the oil can get past the piston and gyro lock it. Folk that put in the narrow foot paths have no clue

Great videos these. Watching your videos a few weeks back and a prompt from yourself to do it, I scarified mine, amazing what came out. Couldn’t believe it. Nearly all the grass has come through now other than a few bits I’ve reseeded. Videos like these are great for the people like me who don’t know what they’re doing!!👍🏻

Hi Lee, thanks for sharing these fantastic videos. I bought a electric scarifier from alco this spring inspired by you. It looked like a plowed field afterwards. I was a bit worried. Now, after some weeks of rain and sun, it is as good as it ever has been. What a difference. I can just imagen how good it could be if I added some soil and did more than one pass. I did not dare to do more at the time. Again, thanks for videos. Have followed you for a long time. All the best from Norway.

Sadly though most people lack the common sense or simple knowledge to perform such a small task. I really do believe that the DIY has fallen out of people's heads. I'm nearly 40, I can do most things, my dad was that era that can do everything. Plumbing electrics, decorating, fixing, engines joinery... The lot. I think we owe it to our kids or indeed youngsters in general and pass down these simple home tasks
