❤ I love Rado. Have already 3 in my collection. Here in Germany Rado is totally underrated. I thought my next one would be the Zulu-Time from Longines, but this one is a true beauty and my new love. Thanks for the nice video 😊
@@nkmsvwde5612 I’m sorry but Ball overdo it everytime. Just cannot enjoy anything they’ve produced. So much more brands on the market hitting home runs on design for the same price. I regularly see them come up for sale secondhand and fail to be sold in my country vs other brands.
@@nkmsvwde5612 yeah the ugly shade they chose for hour markers at the end of the indices. Not to mention that shade then clashes with the green seconds hand. The gaudy logo at the end of the seconds hand as well, just why.
I absolutely love this watch. Pounced on it immediately. I have to say that the text is so tiny that it’s a bit hard to use, I also don’t love the fact that it doesn’t have markers for every second. But overall love this watch ! Glad to see you review it Teddy!
This is an interesting watch. It’s really a callers world time in that you rotate the bezel for a quick perspective of the time around the world, but leaving the bezel will get out of sync, so when you want to reference the time somewhere, you need to rotate the bezel again. Fun take, I guess it’s great for those that don’t want a callers GMT.
I'd totally consider one if it wasn't so laughably tiny. Plus absence of rotor probably to keep it thin.. I'll stick to my original 42mm Captain Cook for now.
I love this. Really hard to find a world timer or GMT at 37mm. And it's slim too at under 11mm thickness! Seriously tempted to sell my Citizen Chronomaster for this.
I think RADO deserves more love, they produce some great time pieces in different materials at sensible prices. I don't have a Captain Cook but have seen a few in the flesh and there is not one that I dislike. To be honest I'm very tempted but I currently have those bases covered not to rule out a purchase at some point. I like the over pole, it looks like it covers some major cities with the 0.5 hour UTC offset that is something most GMT's that I've experienced miss. The Tudor GMT being a true GMT exception with a 48 click bezel.
@@michaelfierman3256 That’s cool. Certainly looks awesome. It has a small dial which may not be suitable for everyone, but I love it on my 6.5 inch wrist.
I’ll never agree with the standard perspective of watch size to wrist size, like the way Teddy presented it here (it’s flat out wrong), but aside from that detail, this was another great video/review by Teddy and another great watch to consider… keep up the amazing work! 💪🏼👍🏼
Should've been an automatic movement with a closed caseback, just like the other models in the Captain Cook lineup. Rado came so close to crushing it with this one, but then fumbled at the goal line. What else is new?
Its a no for me tbh. Just my personal opinion. The 37mm is too small and details are too cramp up. World timer are suppose to be over 40mm and legible at a glance.
Hoping for another rado review from Ted? Like if he's selling it he's going to give it a great review... omg the perfect everyday bla bla Review the ball engineer ii magneto s Ted
captain cook has a ceramic bezel to and the rest is steel to keep the cost down. However there is one which is 2000 USD more expensive and comes entirely in ceramic.
I have the 37-mm Captain Cook that was first issued in late 2017/early 2018 and it has become one of my favourite watches. It is legible both in daylight & night time, despite its rather smaller size. The Over-Pole case is based on the Captain Cook MKI, but I don't think it's going to be as legible. I like the world-time bezel, but not sure how useful it will really be in practice. I noticed "Mumbai", probably called "Bombay" on the originals issued in 1960s, is set to 6 hours ahead of London. However, I believe Mumbai time is GMT+5.5. Analogue GMT watches don't work properly in places like Mumbai because of its "odd" time zone. Another deal breaker for me is the transparent caseback. I don't know why, but I just don't go for watches with transparent caseback.
You will see under Mumbai, there is a line, which indicates you need to deduct 30 mins while estimating time for it. Check the last page in the manual here: www.rado.com/media/sgecom_contentsystem/PDF/User_manuals/manuals_2022/Manual_english_en.pdf
