Thank you for sharing your mistakes. You've obviously come a long way with your skills. I'll say it again - you did one of the most beautiful marble effects I've seen. And you do a lot of unique designs that look great. I'm always happy when I see you posted a new video. Thanks!

This gave me chills to read as I watch ur work and think how awesome and creative u are. It’s good to see the mistakes because sometimes we tend to forget even the best at their craft or whatever there will be mistakes. I’m very new to crafting and even using resin but I’m going to try to keep going and watching and perfecting the end results. A big TY for sharing and I will keep watching:)

if I over dome & it leaks, I just use a nail file, or dremel to sand it down, a deburrer, works wonders & fixes the issues, & get yourself a pair of shape toe nail cutters, (the ones that come to a point) they work for those tiny, tight spots. Also I learned a little trick from Steve McDonalds arts & crafts, for holes or to make shiny, mix a little resin, use your finger & spread that way...it works. with picture, colour the back with UV gel nail polish. beside a candle lighter for bubbles, spray Isopropyl alcohol, it helps with bubbles a lot. HOPE ALL THIS HELPS..HAPPY RESINING!!!

I am a beginner i just started doing resin from first week of september , its almost just 2 weeks i am doing resin my mistakes was also the same but i learned from my mistakes and i now knew how To fix them , here are my some tips which i want to give to beginners
1 . IF THE BUBBLES OCCURS , PUT THE RESIN IN MEASURING CUP OR ANY PLASTIC GLASS AND PUT THAT IN WARM WATER NOT TO MUCH WARM OTHER WISE IT WILL MAKE YOURNRESIN CURE IN JUST SECONDS , , LEAVE YOUR CUP OF RESIN IN WARM WATER FOR ARROUND 30 SECS YOU WILL SEE THE BUBBLES ARE REMOVING , AND THEN USE RESIN FOR YOUR PROJECTS
2 . IF OVERFLOW RESIN , AFTER PUTTING RESIN IN MOLD JUST SLOWLY MOVE ANY FLAT SCALE FROM THE TOP , IT WILL MAKE YOU PROJECT NOT TO BE OVERFLOW OR WASTED
3 . FOR HOLES, IF THE HOLES OCCURS AFTER CURING JUST PUT RESIN AGAIN IN THAT AREA AND LET IT CURE , AFTER THAT USE CARBON PAPER , RUB YOUR PROJECT FROM THAT SIDE WHERE THE HOLES OCCURS , RUB YOU PROJECT PUT SOME DROPS OF WATER AND RUB UNTIL THE AREA BECOME FLAT AS YOU WANT
4 . SHARP EDGES/SIDE ... PUT YOUR PROJECT ON A CARBON PAPER PUT FEW DROPS OF WATER AND RUB YOU PROJECT'S SIDE ON THAT YOU WILL SEE AFTER SOME SECONDS THE SHARP EDGES WILL BECOME PERFECTLY FLAT
I USE ART RESIN AS IT THE SAFE RESIN AS COMPARED TO ALL OTHERS , IF YOU ARE DOING SMALL PROJECTS JUST LIKE KEYCHAINS , JEWELRY , NECKLACE , RINGS , BANGLES ANYTHING , THEN USE ART RESIN IT IS SAFIER THEN EPOXY RESIN NAD IT IS ALSO IN LESS PRICE AS COMPARED TO EPOXY RESIN
I HAVE WRIITEN ALOT SORRY IF I WASTED YOUR TIME
    #PEACE

Thank you so much for sharing this video. I think I really needed this. I just recently started working with resin and lots of times end up feeling defeated because projects don't turn out right. So many times I want to mix up some resin and make something but I don't because I just feel like it's not going to turn out either. I will keep practicing. You're right, resin is expensive but the good thing is, you can mix a very small amount and just make one small item or letter or whatever, so I guess it's necessary to make sure an idea is going to look good and turn out well before mixing and pouring a lot. Again, thank you so much for sharing that you too have had projects that didn't turn out like you planned. At least now I'm not over here feeling like I'm just never going to be good at it. I guess I just have to keep practicing. Oh, I subscribed to your family's channel. I wish them good luck on UA-cam!

hi Kelli , thank you :) am glad of help. It's really helpful if you have ideas in mind already before you pour. That way, you wouldn't waste resin . It happened to me before, I didn't have ideas in mind and so I panicked, I didn't know what am gonna do, so the ending---wasted resin and disappointment. From then, I started to plan ahead the design and prepare all the materials at hand or near my workplace so everything would be smooth.

Thank for sharing this video! Your work inspires me to keep going with this hobby. I'm working on trying to get better in doing 2 color layers in my letter key chains. I did try to do a black mica color and a layer of silver flakes. I have a reversed letter mold. When I demolded it this morning, I noticed the flakes floated to the back instead of the front. Should I have done it in more than one layer to get the flakes to sink evenly?

    • @EjoysArtSpace29
      @EjoysArtSpace29  2 роки тому

Thank you Sheri 😊 for your question, pour thin layer of clear resin first ,then put the flakes, then let it cure for at least 6 hours before your pour your black resin. That way ,the flakes will not float over the black resin. I hope it will help.

Really need so tips with alcohol inks and flowers techniques.. That spiral rainbow type coaster really looks good...!
And I have posted a comment when this video was published about glitters getting sunk to the bottom while curing.. i think I found a way for them to stay put. If we don't want lot of glitters in the piece, we have to add the glitter when the resin is tacky. Then the glitters are not sinking down.

I make resin stuff too and I got alot of big piece mistakes like ashtrays and coasters, is there anything we can do with these mistakes so that even the mistakes don't get wasted? For example, pieces that don't cure well that have parts either kinda tacky or bendable I pour another layer of clear resin over it to cover the tacky part or stiffen the bendable part. I have also started using clear fast drying nail polish to cover scratches I've made with my drimmel on accident. But some pieces just seam like the can't be recovered, have you came up with any ideas on ways they can be recovered or are they a lost cause? Like you said resin is very expensive and I hate wasting all that resin.

Hi. For my bendy and tacky projects, i just pour thin layer of resin on them. it always work wonders for me. I hope it does to you too. But sometimes, we need to accept that some pieces are really irreparable. However, we learn from it. :) Good luck!
