That 4th rounder swap was terrible for Boston, our original pick would’ve been Aron Kiviharju and he is a steal, he was projected top 20 last year, which means that we lost lauko and got a worst player

The Bruins clearly saw something in Groenewold or to put it more accurately saw enough to move up and get him. Time will tell what’s to come of the pick and to your point about Kiviharju, there’s always a good reason why players fall out of draft spots (even more so for dropping to the 4th round)

they really helped the center position!

Geekie isn’t a top line RW he fits best on the third. I know RW are tough to get good talent on that position. Lauko isn’t a huge loss so it’s not going to worry me much

100% and that’s where FA will come into play! Hoping the Bruins can collect a RW1 and 2C this year!

@@blackngoldproductionsllc Marchessault is the RW they need. The center position should go to Lindholm but perhaps they do get Stamkos they might have to get a cheaper Winger. It’s up to Sweeney

@@blackngoldproductionsllc I feel it was a pretty decent day for Boston. Lindholm is a skilled Center they needed and in my opinion is an improvement from Debrusk. We lost Griz but gained a better more experienced defender with Zadorov. It could’ve been worse. I was only disappointed they didn’t sign Heinen and honestly we really didn’t need Max Jones I’d rather they sign Heinen instead. Overall above average and I know Swayman will get a contract. Perhaps that’s why Heinen was let go to pay Swayman a good deal of money.

@@danielflynn8530 Definitely fair! I really like the addition of Zadorov especially with his physicality. They clearly wanted to change the identity of this team and they did it in bunches! Heinen vs Jones is an interesting case but I think it would become more of a Zacha vs Heinen and Jones vs Lauko. I'd take the prior in both. I really do like the way this team has become more physical and I'm really excited to see how they look on the ice!

LOL changed it all? Seriously our Bruins are not looking very good. I'm unhappy with Cam Neely and Don Sweeney, not sure they know what they're doing. Fan since 1976

They finally addressed one of the biggest areas of concern with this team so yes there was a big change. Now it doesn’t address anything now and I completely agree with you on that front but I invite you to come back on Monday once we put out our recap video on day 1 of free agency go to take a real good look at what this team will look like together!

@@blackngoldproductionsllc Unfortunately the Bruins have always been terrible at evaluating talent. I too want to believe that this 17 old kid will be a good player someday in the future, but look at our roster objectively. The guys on the team have low offensive and defensive awareness, not to mention they cannot skate well, and struggle to make even the most fundamental passes to each other. How many goals did we give up this season, due to an inability to skate and pass the puck out of our defensive zone? In the offensive zone, we can't handle or control the puck long enough to set a play and strategy to score, always coughing up the puck. We need a change in the Front Office, because it's not these players fault for just being average at best. Why do we continue to support this ownership?

To be completely fair, this season was dubbed a “transition year” from the start. The Bruins weren’t expected to do anything from the start so in my eyes getting to the second round was an accomplishment in and of itself! The Bruins have built some great teams over the years that unfortunately fell just short. They don’t make it past the first round by luck…

How has this draft "changed it all!!"?? Sweeney has done nothing than make this team MORE mediocre. The 25th pick won't even get a shot at the NHL level for another 3 or 4 years.
Korposalo STINKS and will be a $3M anchor around Sweeney's neck for 3 more years. It's a joke.

    • @blackngoldproductionsllc

The 25th OVR pick addresses the exact need that the Bruins will have in 3-4 years! This was a great draft for the Bruins which will change the trajectory of this team! Not to mention the cap space for the team to go out and sign highly touted free agents!
