The council have ruined Wednesbury. They've spent millions on those new stalls after closing down the old market site at the end of Union street. You walked past the stalls in the high street without showing them. They're just car boot type stalls that sell old tools but people love them but only 2 of the stalls are used. Also they've made the High street one way and spent a fortune on raised block paving to site the new stalls that you didn't show. This means that that cars can no longer access the High Street from the main road into Wednesbury unless they take a big detour around the outside of the town, but no one does this and just drive on by and shop somewhere else, as do I. Businesses have suffered. This was just an idea from woke government and council appointed planners to take cars off the road. The project took months and was carried out by out of town contractors who often spent 2 or 3 hours per day just sitting in their vans. I've heard it cost about 3 million pounds just for this first phase of ruining our town. There are rumours that they're going to change it back after a public outcry. More money for out of town contractors.
@@truthseeker7794 hi, thanks for commenting, apologies for not showing everything and I could not highlight things that I don’t know about because I am not local to wednesbury. Sadly councils everywhere always make wrong decisions which leads to decline everywhere.
@@DavesTravels-uk Sadly mate these are not just wrong decisions but all part of an agenda. You've seen what they've done to London with ULEZ and soon to come the 15 minute cities.
I hope that when the modernization is done more business will come to Wednesbury. Lovely people and lovely little town
Hi there, is this modernisation anything to do with the digging up of part of the Main Street at bus station end?
