Hi Willy! Nice to see you fishing on the cane pole again!. It's amazing how simple and effective it can be (if you know how to do it ;) ). Thank you for your videos. Please, keep on doing!
Thank you! Yeah it is so simple. I didn’t have to re-tie once this trip and didn’t have to think about anything but the fish. Thanks for always watching!
Great Drum! I love those fish
Thanks! Yeah the drum are always a treat. I have been keeping up with the ‘fishing for tattoos’ series. Good stuff man.
Love your videos, always look forward to seeing a new one. I use my cane poles now more than ever thanks to you.
Another great video. It's nice to see you catch fish with the pole you made. Peace my man.
Thanks. This pole turned out really nice after the lacquer! I am about to cut and start a new batch. I want to try some black wood stain and other things the mix it up.
This is awesome.
@@canepolewilly that’s true man. That’s what I learned on and even now I use a 1972 zebco 33 for everything. Even redfish in saltwater.
That thumbnail slaps bubba
Thanks! I have to try and remind myself to take a few pictures out there for the thumbnail haha.
Nice! Some great catches! That Smallie was a beauty. That cane pole is sharp!
Thank you Pistol Creek! Man your channel theme song always gets stuck in my head!
@@canepolewilly Haha! Hopefully it will help folks remember to come back and watch!
👍🏿 - OUTSTANDING! Actually, ...the third pole I learned to fish with. It belonged to my Grandpa.
Howdy Willy! Are you fishing in the Midwest?
I like that there are other cane pole enthusiasts out there.
I live in Arkansas. What is so cool about the cane pole is how universal it is. Throw some bait out there and you will probably catch something!
@@canepolewilly I’m in Missouri. I grew up fishing a Cane Pole and still go out with it on occasion.
Thanks.
Nice chanel. I use the cane pole at the sea since i was a kid. Simple and very effective method!!!
Very cool! Cane pole at the sea man i gotta try that! Cant beat keeping it simple and catching a few fish!
I've started with a Bamboo cane pole 45 years ago and now i use the fiber glass 4,5,6mt. I find the glass one more rigid than the carbon, especially if you fish rocks without a net.....
1) i love your channel graphics, the retro video games feels so good. 2) THAT WATER BRUH! What creek is this, it looks b-e-a-utiful?!
I gotta know why do you use circle hook’s instead of j hooks
I prefer the circle hook because you don’t need the big hook-set. I let the fish take the bait and run off and i just pull tight after a bit. They hook themselves usually and then you just gotta hang on!
Do u just tie to the tip or do u tie down future and wrap the line around the pole?
Wrap around the tie a few feet down. Duct tape it to the tip and hang on when one bites lol
Hey willy what size circle hooks are you using???
This size is 2/0 i believe. I am liking the larger ones lately for the catfish and bass. I mainly 1/0-4/0 if i think some good bass are in there.
I use the 13 ft black widow pole an I’m curious what’s the length of your bamboo pole
The pole I use for creeks is 15’. 12-15’ is what I like for creek/river situations. 10-13’ for my boat and kayak
Nice mixed bag!! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Yeah that is always the best!
