My son starts kindergarten in September and I feel the same way. Really soaking up these last few weeks with him since I'm a stay at home mom. It's hard with a 3 yo and 8 month old that still naps but while the house can be a bit messier, my 2 younger ones can be a bit grumpier, chores might not get finished at the end of the day; we're having a fun summer and making memories :)

I started weighing a few of my products before I start using them, if after a month it starts to get eerily light, I weigh it again, and this way I can gauge when it's going to run out. I do this once and then get a feel for when things can get empty.

The Paula’s Choice Benzoyl Peroxide lotions have a very light, creamy texture. They come in 2.5 and 5% strengths. I’ve tried them both and a single bottle lasts quite a while.

Don’t panic!!! I had a similar experience with the Boscia purifying cleanser but now it’s back with new packaging. I hope this happens for you too! When Bobbi Brown discontinued a cleanser and moisturizer years ago i lost my actual mind. It was the first time my skin was ever clear. Ruined my life lol dramatic but for real.

The Paula’s choice is not a gel, it’s more watery of a consistency but it’s good. I use that regularly and it keeps my breakouts from coming out. Might be a good alternative but I haven’t tried the Kate Somerville one.

I think Laroche-Posay may have a product similar to the Kate Sommerville one. It's called Effaclar Duo. It is a lotion with Benzoyl Peroxide (5.5%). I really like it because it's non-drying and can be used all over the face.

The Paula’s choice 2% BHA lotion is a holy grail product for me, they also have an 8% AHA lotion, I love.
I had the same effect with the Sunday Riley UFO oil. When I used it, it cleared my skin and when it would have been time to get hormonal acne, I didn’t get any breakouts. But once I stopped using it, my skin started breaking out.

We don’t have the Kate Somerville anti bac here in Canada sadly so I have never tried it, but we have a 10% salicylic acid treatment that might be similar in what it’s targeted to do by murad, it’s called the outsmart acne clarifying treatment! Hoping that might help in your search for a replacement if you end up needing one!

I use the Paula’s Choice benzoyl peroxide treatment extra strength version. It’s not a gel, but more of a loose moisturizer. It works well for me and I’m very acne prone. I get mine both on Amazon and from the PC website
The Paula’s Choice is not a gel, it’s a thin white lotion. And it’s great! I love it. I have both the Kate Somerville and the PC and I don’t have a favorite 🤔 love them equally.

I use a Murad serum and then the SKII facial essense then a moisturizer - Do you use it just as a refresher or as a part of your skin care routine? You've got to try the Chanel oil cleanser for a pre cleanse! It's $$ but lasts and smells and feels amazing!

I scrape the leftover wax from my candles and use them in my electric wax warmer from Target. 🤭 I feel like the wax that is marketed for the burners doesn’t really smell as nice/strong. The burner is also good for places that you may not want a lit candle to be sitting. I know that might sound cheap, 🤣 but some of the candles I like are kinda pricey, and I’d rather have a couple of really nice ones, and get all I can out of those instead of buying a bunch that I don’t really enjoy.
Clinique has a benzoyl peroxide moisturizer that worked amazing for my skin and my breaks outs. It’s not a spot treatment, it is actually a moisturizer and it is much cheaper. About $25

Hey Tiffany! Benzoyl Peroxide has always been a hit/miss situation for me, and the KS Anti Bac has always been a touch out of my price range, but I have used Acne.org's BP treatment (it's a cream!) for years and it works really well. It's 2.5% BP, so it's not as drying as some of the other BP treatments that are out there that are closer to 5-10%, but it works just as well! I don't follow the full regimen on the website (it says to use A BUNCH of the cream), but I use maybe a quarter-sized dollop and it absorbs and works really well. :)

Have you ever thought of doing a gentle retinol serum to help clear up your acne?! I have recently given up on using acne specific products and have gone the gentle daily cleanser and a gentle retinol serum route and let me tell you in 30 days my skin has never looked better! I use Cerave skin renewing retinol cream-serum and it’s amazing!!
I have such a hard time with retinols. They usually make my skin overproduce oil so I get a lot of bumpy skin, which sucks. Or they irritate my skin. I've found a few over the years I like! But they still aren't as gentle as the anti bac, for me at least.
Hi girl! I’ve started using the anti bac product after you recommended it and love it too. I’ve been on the hunt for it too and been panicked as well finding everywhere is out of stock. I also found it on co bigelow, but yesterday got an email that they oversold the product and are now out of stock too. They are issuing me a refund. I found it again on Nordstrom and ordered it, but am waiting for the email that they can’t fill it because they are out of stock too. I will be crushed if it gets discontinued because like you, it’s the best I’ve had.
EradiKate has worked wonders on my skin! I used to use the antibac but this has retinol too. Amazing!
You should try the Nivea lotion for extra dry skin it is soooo good! It makes your skin glow and is super moisturizing ! You have to get the one that says for extra dry skin though.
Paula's choice Benz peroxide 5% u spoke of is a lotion consistency. I love it.

The same thing happened to me with the Kate Somerville, anti abc. Finally found on the Nordstrom website, order a few. Then I went to Ulta for something and thought I checked and they had four bottles. Went home to check the website and it still said “sold out” . 🤷🏻♀️

The reason the Kate Somerville isn’t around is because the company that makes their Benzoyl Peroxide shut down. The same company makes the Clinique Acne line, so we’re out of those as well (I work at Ulta). So I’m assuming they’re going to find a different lab, but the formula will likely be different 😭😭😭 I’m a lover of that product too!

I stayed until the end! You will probably feel like your 2 regular videos are easier to do when Olivia is in school. Work /Mom balance can be hard especially when you want to spend those special times with your babies as they’re growing up. I have 3 kids and we own a business so I completely understand when you don’t post a video, although I usually go to Instagram to make sure everything is okay, lol

Paula’s choice has several different types of BHAs. You can get lotion, gel or liquid. The lotion is my fav.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (NOT the duo plus (+) it has a different formulation) has been a game changer for me. Been using it since 2012. It is 5.5% benzoyl peroxide & 0.4% LHA. It is mega effective. Packs a punch but is still somewhat gentle. Love it! I think you can buy a small tube from Ulta :)
I agree with your mascara rant, company they use fancy words and terms to pretend is a new thing, my favorite not long a go was loreal selling some skin care that was youth infused (????) they should stick to what is working instead of trying to come up with new products every week.

I always get my Kate Somerville products from her website. She does a 30% off twice a year. I noticed her site is also out of stock. People are freaking out. I bet if you also leave a comment, she will see the huge amount of people that love it & respond. Perhaps the packaging is changing, or a certain ingredient is backordered. Tiffany, SLMD skincare (Dr. Pimple Popper’s line) has a benzoyl peroxide cream. I’ve used their acne line for a bit now and really enjoy it. Maybe give that a shot!

I was using the Clinique Benzole Peroxide lotion, and they discontinued that a few months ago, so I switched to the Kate Somerville. Omg now that one is gone too!! What’s going on I wonder, not a coincidence both companies stopped making this. 😭

When you said discontinued, I thought you were to talk about the Clinique Acne Solution moisturizer. I'm not sure why Clinique doesn't sell it anymore, but they don't and have skin has been breaking out. I know SLMD skincare has a Benzoyl Peroxide lotion. I'm thinking about trying it out.
