    The first episode of the 3x3x3 Fighting Techniques for Self Defense / Hand to Hand Combat explores how to defend against punches and punch combination attacks.
    The 3 Punch Defense Fighting Techniques in this episode are:
    The Fence: the fence is your distance creating, self defense "bubble" protection and your fighting stance to defend against punches, grabs, etc.
    Framing: TRITAC Frames are a fighting technique to defend and attack against punches, grabs, kicks, knees, etc. Frames allow you to Smash and Enter against your opponents attack. They create opportunities for counter punching, are perfect for setting up self-defense throws and takedowns.
    Head Movement: Boxers use head movement like slips and weaves to defend against punches such as jabs, crosses, hooks, etc. Head movement is an important skill-set for self defense. When you are surprised and your hands are down, you need to be able to avoid those punches and attacks.

    May I give a thumbs up for the very socially responsible preamble where it was stated that your first attempt should be to diffuse and avoid the situation.
    Far too many UA-cam combatives and self-defense channels on UA-cam disregard this area of social responsibility.
    In fact there is one popular urban combatives channel where the UA-camr talked about three, YES, three incidences he was involved in over just a couple of evenings. He was being highly hypocritical about justifying his use of force but from the sound of his story sounded like he could have easily walked away from all of those situations especially since he's 6'5", around 250lbs, and a skilled fighter and it's evident from his story that he was smashing on unskilled guys who were way smaller who had not yet even thrown a punch. In one case, a drunk old man who was telling him off. Talk about your Sensei Kreese from Cobra Kai!
    Therefore, I respect UA-cam self-defense channels, like Soul Fighters, Tony Blauer, FightSmartTrav, and Gracie Breakdown, who exhibit some social responsibility about using justified force unnecessarily against someone.

      assoverteakettle thank you man!!! We really appreciate it. Those things needs to be addressed, especially on UA-cam where we can reach so many people. Being socially responsible is important.

    Great material, guys! I like particularly the way you stress how important it is to keep your distance and avoid trouble! I'm also a Soul Fighters black belt and I must say you guys have an excelent method for self defense! I'm starting to teach my own son bjj, and I'm going to add your concepts in the self defense classes. thanks a lot!

      Osss!! My pleasure! I'm in Brazil, in a small town in Mina Gerais called Carangola. Is's a very small town. I'm a Physiotherapist by profession, but a warrior at heart. Started bjj with Tio Chico in Kioto Academy (same as Tank) in Rio, but I moved to another place and took on Judo until I was 27. Got my Black Belt and then came back to BJJ when I met Bruno Tank. I graduated Black Belt from him. I'm coming to Atlanta for a course in Physiotherapy in October. Are you guys close to Atlanta?? I'd love to visit you guys!

      +Octavio Amazonas ohhhh ok! I never meant Bruno Tank, but know Tanquinho quite well. I got my black belt Formiga.
      We're in CT, it's a quick plane ride or a long drive away, but you're more than welcome to come!!! It would be a great pleasure to meet you!

    question: do you always train in gi for self defense or sometime you use street clothes?

    • @tritacacademy
      @tritacacademy  7 років тому +1

      +docteurguillotine Both. It's vital to train both. We're just in the gi a lot during our training, and kinda just tend to film that way

    What does TRITAC stand for? Ive checked a few of your vids and yall seem legit. Much respect on what you do! But is TRITAC an acronym?

      Isidro Cruz Hey man, there is a lot of our information on: tritacmartialarts.com
      But, TRI, meaning 3 and triangle; and TAC meaning tactical. There are 3 martial arts systems, and in martial arts, the "concept of 3" is always showing up. The attacks, defenses, movements, etc related to triangles are also a very evident theme in all martial arts.
      I highly suggest checking out the site, there's a lot of information there.

    finally....someone shows how to use the real world skill of slipping and dodging. i am heavily invested in the FMA but too many of those guys show "guntings" instead of slipping. guntings are a 1 in 100 chance if oyu practice all the time. slipping and dodging is the way to go

    I'm thinking of trying out the handful of lessons that cost like $5. I don't really have a training partner though.

    • @tritacacademy
      @tritacacademy  7 років тому

      +2016's New Star Player awesome to hear. It is possible to train without a partner, but I would highly suggest a training dummy or at least a heavy bag. If you're serious about learning, recruit a friend to train with you once a week in the beginning.

    Porque enseñas algo que en la realidad y no aplica ya que en una pelea real los movimientos son erraticos y que te puedas encontrar a alguien preparado o que sepa pelear me refirió a un boxeador que aplique lo que tú estás intentando mostar

      Sorry it wasn't to your liking; but we focus on ensuring that our students and followers really understand the concepts and principles behind each technique. We have many other lesson videos, highlight videos, etc that show more "stuff"
