Never does TGX fail to entertain. Love your stuff. Listening to you talk freely at the end was awesome. I enjoy segments where you divulge or perhaps even go on tangents as I find your insights just as entertaining as the reviews themselves. Keep doing what you're doing. Big fan.
My favorite is honestly THPS4, for many reasons, but one of them was because I was glad it removed the timer. I always felt like 2 minutes was way too restrictive, and having to restart over amd over to fully enjoy/explore the level was tedious and annoying. Plus being able to free skate whenever I want between goals was nice.
The jokes in this one were great, they had me laughing out loud and I never do that. Well done man. Also, I can relate with that bodyjar tale. Great songs not only entertain but they teach you something.
20:55 Grind the "S" rail in Tony's Island leading to the stairs, and when done correctly, the screen will shake, and you must jump into the volcano before the hot rocks explode from it. When done correctly, you'll end up in a secret area.
17:33 "Move it; your buttocks!" It will sound clearer if you play the Xbox version (THPS2X). Many of these quotes made it in to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, complete with subtitles so you'll understand these NPCs more clearly. Not to mention, the N64 version of THPS2 has been toned down, such as removing the taxi driver's lines entirely, removing blood and replacing the world "Hell" for "heck".
36:27: Wait...Kurt, did you just admit to enjoying a modern-day game??? WHAT IS THIS MADNESS??!!! EDIT: Just throwing this out there; I LOVE Spider-man PS4
I'm racking my brain trying to figure out the song that's playing when he's talking about going out to skateboard 😆 Is it from Spyro?? Can anyone help me? Lol
Awesome job on the original Tony Hawk trilogy review and even though I respect your opinion on the PlayStation 1 version of the games, I still say that the Sega Dreamcast version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 and the PlayStation 2 version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 are the way to go IMHO! I still love your review nonetheless!
gosh ... a video like this really shows how f.... old i am (34) i was a teen wen THPS1 came out... i never did skateboard... i didn't know ANYone who did it and so yeah. I was exposed to this game since someone from a neighbour village had the offical playstation magazine which came with a demo disc so he passed the demos around. Since a friend of mine was a friend of him he let us have the full THPS game so i did play it i guess 4 month after the release in Germany... i kinda liked it... the music was great but i really can't remember many thinks about it. THAN came THPS2 and someone in my school made a living selling well...."copies" of your "owned" games *cough* which you COULD play on a PSX IF you had a mod chip xD since DVD Burners where not that common he was kinda rich xD 10 Mark (20 EUR) for a PSX game was a deal so i got THPS2 and boy i liked it xD Also the "game has nothing more than the carrer mode" ... well HORSE!? MULTIPLAYER!?
A while ago I watched this video and loved it but eventually I lost it. Recently I have been trying to find it but I just couldn't. I thought I would never find it but I did nice video
i thought youre going to talk a little bit about the THPS remaster/remake,but youre going to give it his own video or just gonna put together with another game?
Bold of you to assume I'm going to talk about it at all. Here's my review, it's pointless, half-assed, and about as worthwhile as a hemorrhoid. There was nothing to say about it, so I didn't bother.
I actually remember my cousin buying pro skater 2 on the ps1 and we enjoyed it, 🤣😂 I especially loved playing as Spider-Man, as for the development part you mentioned *3 was done by shaba games, they actually did the ps2 version of project 8* and the gba versions *literally from pro skater 2 all the way to American sk8land* were developed by vicarious visions. *as of now I own pro skater 3 and underground 2 on gba, found them in a retro gaming convention*
This tickled my nostalgia bone pretty hard. Also, if you want to make flat jokes about Canada you should have chosen Saskatchewan instead of Alberta since Alberta at least has mountains......this totally has nothing to do with the fact that I'm from Alberta.... *shifty eyes*
Disagree ! 1&2 clearly had better soundtracks than 3. Multiple songs you can skip on 3. That’s the only area where I feel 3 didn’t do better than the previous 2 games.

Any day TGX uploads another video essay is a good day.
This video hasn't even been out 2 months, and I've already watched it four times.
That's how much I love your stuff. Keep it up!
I'm still waiting for this guy to blow up!

I would now say thps 1&2 remake is the best of playing those games
Shaba Games? Grind Session.

Correct on Alien Ant Farm getting too much shit. Nice video, as always.

I feel the N64 version of the first game is a LOT more responsive.
So what province are you from?
I think he's from Alberta
Dumfukistan
@@RegretfulDeadMan New Brunswick, got it.
