Hello 👋🏿 no, I don't cut the aerial roots of my monstera (or any of my plants). Generally, the roots find their way into the pot (and grow) or they don't and dry up/harden off.
The white stuff on the soil comes your water. Let your water sit 24 hours (reverse osmosis) before watering your plants. I fertilize plants all year. When growth slow down I used 1/2 strength. Rarely tropical plants go dormant. Plus my house is warm in the winter. Virginia USA. I’m with you ”Hobby versus 2nd job”. A hobby is suppose to be enjoyable. 👍🏾Video. Fertilizing is your Choice. 🪴Happy Planting🌿
I have found this plant to be quite a water loving plant and have had no trouble with root rot. You should check out my video recommending plants based on watering habits, where I explain a bit more about my experience with this plant's preferred water habits.
I am not sure what time of the day the plant grows. I actually would like to do a Timelapse of a new leaf growing so hopefully that’ll give more insight to how my particular plant moves around all day. 😀
I love your plant 🪴
😊
My monstera has a ton of aerial roots but I don’t see any on yours. Should I be trimming those?

Hi, what fertilizer do you use please? Thanks
Hello. I use "Nitrosol Organiksol", which has about 80:20:60 Nitrogen (N) to phosphorus (P) to Potassium (K).
I am afraid to water because of the rotten foots can happen fast
