Thanks for this video. It confirmed that mine definitely doesn't work... at all. No blue light. No red light. Tried Sata, IDE, and Flash Drives. Nothing. Not a single response. Idk where or when I bought this, as I just had kept it for an "in case" situation, then I find myself in that situation and it's completely unusable! Go figure!
I feel your pain. When you purchase something, and don't use it for an extended amount of time, you would still expect it to work as new out of the box.
.. good habit to maintain: always 'eject' external storage device(s) through your pc first, then turn off machine, remove harddrive. Thanks for video - purchased the same model myself - works beautifully .. not super-fast transfer speeds but for 20$, you can't ask for the moon :)
Good advice regarding un-mounting external devices.🙂 I Agree that for the price, this Docking Station performs very nicely indeed. Mine is still in daily use.
Hi Garry, I've had one of these for a few years now, but only have the need to fire it up now. Are you able to assist with an online link to the drivers please?
You can get the software from the link below. They have quite a few different models listed. www.onsite-computers.co.uk/all-in-1-docking-station-drivers.html
Interesting that you got a WD IDE to work.. I bought a unit like this about the same time you did, and it would not read a WD drive I had. Only after I read the instructions carefully did I see the warning that it wasn't compatible with WD IDE drives. Apparently not all these docks are the same.
@@GarryPurcell Oops.. my mistake. Upon a second watching it turns out that both the 500 GByte and the 2 TByte WD drives in the video are both SATA. Mine does work with WD SATA drives but not with WD IDE. Surveying all the similar docks for sale on Amazon, Banggood, AliExpress and Lazada, it seems that a few (which are for sale up to the present) do warn about incompatibility with WD IDE drives, most don't. I suspect the newer ones which support USB 3.0 (which are maybe 40% more expensive) do support WD IDE drives while at least some of the older ones don't. These drives are sold under many different brand names but I'll bet they're all OEMed at one factory. They're probably revised the electronics over the years, though. Maybe they discovered what it was that was preventing WD IDE drives from working and fixed it but there may be stocks of the older docks on sale still.
finally opened mine which i bought 2 years ago round about..... didnt get the disk to load mine, sitll tryining to get it do what i want.... device manager says its connected but can't see it anyother way to access what i need to take off the hdd that is in it.....
@@GarryPurcell all good, worked it out, couldn't/wouldn't open the HDD that I wanted from my Lenovo pc ie Toshiba hdd which i have since been told is Western anyway. So dang it. My work can't be rescued.
Sorry for taking so long to answer you. I've been away for a few days. Here's a link to some drivers for you www.onsite-computers.co.uk/all-in-1-hdd-docking-station-drivers.html
Old video I know, but does a 3.5" IDE Western Digital drive work on this dock, ebay listing says no? Maybe it just needs jumpers for Master / Slave function.

@@WomackNLD The one I bought wasn't compatible with WD IDE drives. It said so in the fine print on the instructions. 😂 The one Banggood sells is likewise labeled, they were good enough to say so in the product description. None of the other ones I see for sale have this warning, they might all work as far as I know, like the one in this review.
Hello Gary, thanks for the video. I purchased the same unit but I did not get the drivers. All I have now is a black and red paper weight. Do you have any idea where I can get the associated drivers? I have followed several links but none work and some are quite dubious. Thank you for any information.
Have you tried the All in 1 HDD Docking Station software from this link below? www.onsite-computers.co.uk/all-in-1-hdd-docking-station-drivers.html I personally use Driver Easy - Free Version, to update all my Windows Drivers.
@@ItsSir2you The docking station acts the same as an external drive, so you can transfer files, read or write, watch video etc. Are you using a windows 10 operating system? If so, windows 10 should automatically find the drivers for you.
Hi, did you need the installation disc. My recent purchase of the All in One HDD docking station did not come with one and I wondered if the OTB arrangement needs that disc?
You can get the software from the link below. The have quite a few different models listed. www.onsite-computers.co.uk/all-in-1-docking-station-drivers.html
@@GarryPurcell I went to this site and clicked on the 875 model. All it says this file does not have an app associated with it. What app do I need? I have Windows 10.
If your having problems getting your computer to recognize the drive, you need to update your systems drivers. I use Driver Easy to maintain my drivers for me.
Thanks, good video. However you didnt cover what software you loaded on and how you set this up for your pc to recognise the docking station. Do you have this info? Ive just taken receipt of one but my IDE drive is not recognised. I downloaded PC Clone Ex lite from FNET. thanks
I was looking for a review but every one mistakes unboxings for reviews. This does not title itself as a review but this was just the review info I was looking for. I'm now reasonably certain this product will fit my needs.
I just purchased 1 and looking to get it soon within the next week or so. I bought it because I need to retrieve some important files from an old hard drive. I think this just may do the trick.
The device works as an external hard drive and as long as your drive is not corrupt you'll be right and able to retrieve the files you're after from your old hard drive let us know how you go
Yep, I have the device and it worked seamless. Plug and play basically. I was surprised at how easy it was to link up and go right for the files I wanted. There are so many capabilities that I don't know where to start. I'm going to be connecting it to my xbox to see how it works between the devices.
Thanks for getting back with your report. I don't own an XBox but my Grandkids do, So I'll be interested to hear how well it fairs when connected. P.S. I'm still using my Docking Station daily, and its working perfectly. It really is an amazing tool. Its outlived one Laptop already haha.🙂
I'll give you an update about the xbox. Maybe you can help me with a current project. I want to clone laptop 1's Hard drive.... to another laptop 2 hard drive (because the HD in laptop 2 is new with nothing installed on it) and use it in laptop 2,.... is that possible? Both laptops are 10 inch Acer netbooks with basiclly the same specs.
There is a cloning feature as standard on the Docking Station, I have never used it myself. Its the Red Button in the front of the device, if my memory serves me.
Hi Gary, I've connected to my pc with a an old Seagate Barracuda, but no dice. Tried laptop too. What did you configure the IDE drive jumper settings to? Slave, Master or Cable Select?
Yay! Worked with Barracuda 7200.10 but not with Barracuda 7200.7 on a ThinkPad T410 laptop which has USB 2.0 ports, jumper settings were "slave" i.e. no jumper; neither Drive would be recognized using front USB ports of a ThinkStation
Thanks - the only good video of this on YT - So I bought one with USB3 (Model 875) in the UK on ebay just under £12 and it went bang after 5 seconds (it's fitted with a 13 amp fuse instead of 3 amp): The replacement was fast and works fine on SATA but only my Maxtor IDE HDD is recognised. 4 x WD's & 1 Seagate failed to spool up and yet all work fine in my Winstars C2 Communicator dock (single bay with IDE adaptor) Hope this helps someone.
+000hahh That's disappointing to hear about the fuse, but good to hear whoever you bought it from, responded fast. I found you have to push down quite hard to seat the IDE drives, otherwise you won't get them to read properly.
They no longer supply drivers for Windows 10, as it auto updates them for you. There is an archive site that has older drivers, if you need them. www.onsite-computers.co.uk/all-in-1-hdd-docking-station-drivers.html If your having problems getting your computer to recognize the drive, Try using the free version of "Driver Easy" to see what's missing.
Is this compatible with a seagate Barracuda ATA IV model ST320011A? And so can anyone refer me to someone that could show me how to extract my files from this specific hard drive?
That would be nice BUt... I don't own all the hard drives and cards available in the marketplace, to test them all. I did start a list of the drives I have tested, and posted the results in the description of this Video. P.S.If you have drives not already listed that work, let me know, and I'll add them to the list.
+Mustafa Efe Hi Mustafa Its USB 2.0 Only. I use this device daily for storage of videos, photos and the occasional file. So far, have had no problems with this docking station.
So the eSATA port is to connect another hard drive to the dock station and not to connect dock station to PC via eSATA cable? I hoped that maybe eSATA can be used instead of USB port.
That's correct The E-Sata port is located on the back of the docking station, its for an External E-Sata drive. and not for connecting directly to the PC.
Hi Garry, mine works like your but the cd with software was rubbish as I did not know what to install and when I did install a few different ones I got a virus. How do you format the drives ?
That's correct, One Sata, One IDE port, There are also two usb plugs in the front of the dock, so you can run other drives with USB connectors at the same time.
I just got mine and am desperate to find out how to use the red sliding switch on the bottom. Slide it, try to insert an IDE drive, and you'll see what I mean! Very frustrating.
@@GarryPurcell I never said what the switch was FOR. And I SAW it when you showed the bottom of the unit! With NO drives in, PLEASE LOOK for the switch, move the switch, then attempt to insert an IDE! Very important!
@@GarryPurcell, yes I see yours is black from top view. Mine is red, the same red as the red switch on the bottom. Uh, I'd like to believe you didn't mean "push the drive hard into the bay", but rather slide the switch hard to one side (make the molex as far from 40-pin block as possible). I wouldn't dare hard-force a drive into the bay.
There are several options of software programing on install disk. Mostly Chinese lingo...Not very happy with any. Which program did you use to transfer data?
You don't need any special software. Your operating system should recognise the external drive, and install the drivers for you, then you simply copy and paste, or drag and drop your files. P.S. I use Linux Mint 17.3 OS.
Yes it's still working perfectly. This unit does not have a 2 1/2 inch bay, but you can connect a laptop drive via a usb cable to the front of the dock.
Hi l noticed that the drive is running ( spinning ) all the time ... Do you know if there is there a setting so that it will go into a stand by mode ( stop spinning ) Bill
+Bill Smith I don't have that problem but I would suggest turning it off give it a couple of moments and turn it on again it sounds like there might be a connection problem so make certain that all the plugs are pushed in properly
Hi I am based in the UK. Could you please tell me the exact model number and where exactly you purchased this docking station from? I need it for a couple of my western digital drives. Thank you
+haroon mahmood Hi I got mine from Ebay, Australia, there is only one model that I'm aware of. Here is a link to the same item on Ebay UK ebay.to/1kbOjVD This is a really good product, I’ve been using mine daily for quite a long time now.
+Jimmy “DinoTheDonDaDa” Rorie The docking station works great for me, every drive I've tested works. Others have not been so fortunate. I would really like to see those who own this unit, post there results here, so we can have a list of both working, and non working drives.
Garry Purcell I ordered mines yesterday… going to try to recover old data on 2 old Dell drives, and a Thinkpad drive…. Hoping for the best, I'll update you guys
+Jimmy “DinoTheDonDaDa” Rorie Thanks, looking forward to how things go for you. It will be helpful to others who have the same drives, to see if they work or not.
Garry Purcell Update… didn't work :( Thinking its because I might of purchased the wrong model (There are over ten I think, and they all look pretty similar). It powers on and I hear the disc spinning in the drive but there is no sign of recognition (Tried on PC and Mac). The one I purchased only says "IDE/SATA Docking" on the front, only has USB 2.0 output. Going to take my loss (waited too long to try it out and send it back) but I'll try it again with the "correct" model. I researched and noticed someone had it working on Mac IOS 10.6.1. Wish me luck. Note, I was attempting to recover from 2 old Western Digital IDE drives… seems like a common problem people can't get around.
@@GarryPurcell Yes as far as i can tell, you put 2 drives in it the front one is the sourse drive and the rear one is the target drive, then you press the red button twice, i have never tried it either lol Fred.
I'd suggest you roll back your computer back to an earlier build. That should remove the driver that caused your problem, and you hopefully will be back to normal.
Good day, I have two WD hard drives (1TB and 3TB (green stickers)), when i plug my externals up the blue light is blinking. Does that mean that my externals completely failed? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
+JERALD BELL (YotaOne) The Blue Light should stay on with no drives inserted, and also stay solid when any external drive is mounted. First thing to check is the cable. Make sure it is plugged in firmly, Switch On (Solid Blue Light = All is OK) If No Solid Blue Light (with NO DRIVES INSERTED.) Wiggle the lead to see if you have a broken wire. (Intermittent flashing Blue Light = New Cable)
+Garry Purcell Another thing to check are the drives themselves. Make sure they are fully pushed down, and seated correctly in the Docking Station. If still not working in dock. Do they work in a normal computer? Have you formatted them?
+Garry Purcell thank you so much for your replies. Unfortunately the suggestions did not work. i tried them on tjree computers, same issue. it leaves me to pay for recovery from a repair shop.
hi Garry! do you know why only this item is compatible with WD HDD? I can only find this item from UK compatible, hundreds of other looking exactly the same in Ebay have a tag: "not compatible with Western Digital HDD". I have only one, which is WD, so its kinda important :)
I have a small list in my Video description of the drives Iv'e personally tested with my docking station. I bought my model back in Oct 2015, its still in daily use, and working perfectly. IDE WD 500GB Caviar Blue Works IDE WD 2.0TB Caviar Green Works Hope this helps.
Hi there! I have a WD 250GB IDE hard drive and I can't make it work on my dock station... I tried every jumper setup, but it doesn't spin on the dock... When I put an older MAXTOR drive it works!! What should I do then???
+JeX Barbosa I assume the drive is in working order, and has been tested as a working slave, before using it in the Dock. Switch off the Dock using the rear button. Insert IDE drive, and make sure its seated properly and firmly in the dock. Stitch on the Dock. Allow for a few seconds to initialize, It should work. P.S. I have all my external drives set as slave. I have a WD 500GB IDE and it works fine, I use it as a backup for files.
I bought one of these a while ago. But l have to say that although it worked. I hardly got any use out of it. Just when l needed it. The USB port broke off. Can't solder to repair it. It's build quality is poor. The power adapter is heavy and cable thick. So can make for awkward placement. However, when it does work it does a decent job. If the build quality had been better l would have bought another. But this time am buying another make and model. And fingers crossed that's it's more reliable.

I found it useful as I was considering buying one :) a friend says I can borrow his because my buffalo NAS drive has gone faulty and I like the option of swapping etc
It was, it is the one i want to buy, but we have no store in Copenhagen selling this, so i must work a little how to find. They wanted to sell me another big ugly, with less options, and HELL NO. This one you demostrate is COOL, and small too :)
I have the model 875 (no letters) and mine does NOT do cloning per the seller in an email after I bought it. He refunded me 50% as thats all I really wanted it to do, one touch cloning of system HDD's. He said only the 876U3 did one touch cloning per the endpanel part number graph? Also Win10 no longer shows the HDD but I do get a USB detection tone?
Hi Steve Did you use PayPal to purchase the Docking Station.? If You did, you can enter a PayPal dispute with the seller, and you will have a very good chance of getting your money back, if the seller has misrepresented the product you bought.
Its sad when retailers don't represent the products they sell correctly I have never used the clone feature as I only use my docking station as an external drive for file storage. P.S. Windows 10 has all needed drivers already installed.
Do you need a driver to use this? I put in my seagate ide and nothing happens. My pc recognizes USB drive D: but that it. When you open says, "please insert disk into drive".

We'll see. You know what they say, you get what you pay for. One thing I found puzzling were the product photos. One picture showed the dock without any front panel connections; SD card readers and such. But in the other photos it had them. I hope they don't send me some crappy knock off or something lol! Although for $16 I'm sure I can't complain. As long as it works.
Who did you order it from? P.S. sorry for the late response I'm a bit on the sick side at the moment, and just got out of bed, over 13 hours trying to recover from high fever.
Thanks for your kind thoughts. My wife gas just arrived back from the local chemist with some concoction that is suposed to make me feel better., Anyway I do hope you get the correct docking station, I absolutely love mine. (AND its not the fever talking haha)
XBox has a non standard drive in them, so I don't know if this would work for you as a dump backup system. Maybe someone else will be able to give you some advice.
Does *Anyone* know if this supports the new *Seagate Archive 8 TB* drives? I'm not interested in speculation, I want to know for certain before purchase.
I'm not sure, and don't know anyone with an 8TB Seagate that I can test for you. Hopefully someone else who owns one, will add the definitive answer for you.
I should also ad to my comment above. Make sure the docking station can handle esata drives first. as there are a few different docking station models available.
It sounds like it might be a driver problem. (Check with any third party driver management software to make sure you have the latest drivers installed) I personally can run a USB Sata drive without problems.
i have a problem with this device and wish to know if anyone can help me. if i only insert an IDE drive, it works. if i only insert a SATA drive, it works too. but then, if i insert drive into both bays, it won't work. the computer keeps sounding like connecting and disconnecting... please help. thanks!
1. Check that the USB cable is tight fitting at both ends. 2. Try updating the drivers for your computer. (Link Below) www.onsite-computers.co.uk/all-in-1-hdd-docking-station-drivers.html
Hi Garry, i actually solved that problem accidentally... i tried using an adapter which can provide 3Amp instead of 2Amp, and it solves the problem. it seems that the original adapter has not enough current to power up both drives at the same time... Thanks, btw!

@@wasel5587 I have never tried to copy a password protected drive, but I see no reason why it wouldn't copy it. The files on the new drive, would still be password protected.
Yeah, they gave me a new one with an extra cable for the power supply which had a fuse. I got the impression this was not their first time dealing with a return for this product.
I just got this unit and when I plug it in, the Win10 machine recognizes it as a USB drive. But when I insert a HDD (SATA or IDE) and attempt to access, the system asks me to insert a disk. I plugged it into a Win7 machine and all it sees it as is a USB hub. Anyone run across this or know how to fix it? I've moved the switch on the bottom to no avail.
The first thing to do is update the drivers. Also make sure you push the Hard Drives in FIRMLY, my unit really needs a good push to seat the hard drives correctly. P.S. If you need to reinstall the software: The link below lists quite a few different models listed. (Bottom of the page.) www.onsite-computers.co.uk/all-in-1-hdd-docking-station-drivers.html
I was wondering about the drivers. I downloaded the file, but it just seems to be the PC Clone/Backup program. Am I missing something? I tried other USB ports on both machines and am still running into the same problem. The Win10 assigns a USB drive letter but then wants me to insert a disk even though there is a HDD there. I've tried multiple HDD's too. Thanks again.
I use a free driver program to update my drivers, its called Driver Easy. drivereasy.en.softonic.com/download Its fully functional, but limited in free version to only updating a few drivers each session. you can use it to see if your USB drivers are up to date. When you run this program READ the Update Button as the one they will have ticked is for you to upgrade to the Pro Version. Click the Manual Update, and your Drivers will be updated for free.
I just got this in the mail today and have similar issues. My SATA drive fits but I get the message to insert a disk and the IDE won't even seat (which is the drive I needed this for) I use my BlackX SATA driver on the same machine and it works just fine. Is mine just defective?
Hi Erin Try updating the Windows 10 Drivers using the free software in my comment above yours. Also Same Link Beow. drivereasy.en.softonic.com/download
I have used the dock with windows 10, and it works fine. I don't know anyone using win8.1, so I could plug the dock in, and confirm that it works for you. I would expect it should work OK, but as I said, I haven't tested it on that OS.
hey, great video very helpful. I seem to be having a problem with mine, whoever I plug in any hard drives, it doesn't show even though you hear the plug in sound. any ideas why :( ?
I have run multiple drives at once, IDE, Sata, USB Sata and SDCard without problems. But I mainly run one Sata Dive as a backup for my important files. I have also tested Wifi to a remote Raspberry Pi Device, all the Video files I selected, moved without any problems between the hard drives.
Mine is in daily use, approx 10 hours per day, and still working perfectly. The manufacturer has had multiple updates since I bought mine, so I'm not sure what the current model number is.
Can this dock use two IDE drives at same time when cloning? One IDE hard-drive being the source and the other IDE hard-drive being the target. What is OTB and what is OTC as stated on this item's box?
The docking station is seen by your computer, as a hard drive connected to it. I had multiple drives connected around the 4.12 minute into my video. You can copy, move, delete any file, from any source connected to the docking station, including SDCard etc.
Thanks for your feedback...I encountered on another dock the device seeing as connected by windows but could not see a mounted drive to explore the disk. So I'm happy that dock you demonstrated works fine.
I would expect it depends on the drivers that the Mac OS use to detect external devices. So I'm not certain, as I don't have Mac OS to test it for you.
I have tried to download the drivers and all I get are zip file errors! And to make it worse, each of the driver download pages want a subscription for something that I don't even think I need! This is rubbish!
You should contact the website where your getting the drivers from and let them know they might have corrupted zip files. P.S. You don't need to download any drivers if your using windows 10, the operating system gets the drivers for you.
I've got the one for the British market. Have you seen the 3 pin plug? Throw it away immediately! It isn't BS 1363. Its poor quality cable and it's unfused.
Garry Purcell it's a good device, it's detecting my Sata but not my older IDE drives. Anyway, I'm using an old PC power cable (electric kettle type )luckily. edit: The IDE drives work now! i didnt see that the molex connector was able to slide along a bit to fit different drives.
The company stopped shipping disks years ago.
You need to use a file manager to access your external drives.
@@GarryPurcell all good, worked it out, couldn't/wouldn't open the HDD that I wanted from my Lenovo pc ie Toshiba hdd which i have since been told is Western anyway. So dang it. My work can't be rescued.

Did you need any software to run with this device?
I use it simply plugged in as an external drive, the OS picks it up.
Nice demostration :)

Hello Gary, thanks for the video. I purchased the same unit but I did not get the drivers. All I have now is a black and red paper weight. Do you have any idea where I can get the associated drivers? Thanks, good video. However you didnt cover what software you loaded on and how you set this up for your pc to recognise the docking station. Do you have this info? Ive just taken receipt of one but my IDE drive is not recognised. I downloaded PC Clone Ex lite from FNET. thanks
Hi Craig.
I didn't load any software, and simply allowed my PC to recognize the device.
I was looking for a review but every one mistakes unboxings for reviews. This does not title itself as a review but this was just the review info I was looking for. I'm now reasonably certain this product will fit my needs.
I'm glad you liked my video.
I have been using this docking station everyday since I first bought it, and its still working perfect.
It looks like you have already found your answer.
+000hahh
That's disappointing to hear about the fuse, but good to hear whoever you bought it from, responded fast.
I found you have to push down quite hard to seat the IDE drives, otherwise you won't get them to read properly.
875 and 875D are USB 2.0 . 875U3 is USB 3.0
Hi there. I just bought one, the same as this one, but no CD arrived. I think I still need to find the drivers.

Can you plug an SSD drive into this?
SSD drive can only be plugged in via a cable to the front of the docking station.
@@GarryPurcell i just bought one and actually the ssd drive can be plugged straight into the bay.

Its good to know if I need to purchase another, that it will handle SSD natively.
hi Garry this station is USB 3.0? How many second/MB copying? did you test it?
thank you for your interest : )
+Mustafa Efe
Hi Mustafa
Its USB 2.0 Only.
That's correct
The E-Sata port is located on the back of the docking station, its for an External E-Sata drive. and not for connecting directly to the PC.
Hi Garry, mine works like your but the cd with software was rubbish as I did not know what to install and when I did install a few different ones I got a virus. How do you format the drives ?
Hi Andrew
I use Fat32, this format can be read by most operating systems.
Hi Garry nice video, can you explain hat that red button actually does and how to use it from Fred in Essex Uk.
The red button is to dump all contents from one drive to the next.
I personally have never used it.
Thanks...don't seem like anyone uses it..
So like, with this dock you can't have two sata disks docked at once? One bay is for SATA and one is for IDE?
That's correct, One Sata, One IDE port,
There are also two usb plugs in the front of the dock, so you can run other drives with USB connectors at the same time.
Garry Purcell Bummer, thanks.
that was a great set up
+gene mayne glad you liked it

I just got mine and am desperate to find out how to use the red sliding switch on the bottom. Slide it, try to insert an IDE drive, and you'll see what I mean! Very frustrating.
That switch sounds like you have a different model, to the one I reviewed here. Mine does not have a switch for inserting drives.
@@GarryPurcell I never said what the switch was FOR. And I SAW it when you showed the bottom of the unit! With NO drives in, PLEASE LOOK for the switch, move the switch, then attempt to insert an IDE! Very important!
OK. you mean the black slider on my unit, that moves the power connector.
You need to Push "Hard", when seating any IDE drive.
Finally figured it out thanks.
Its a nice to hear you got it working, mine is in use every day.
Does it work with laptop hard disk?

Thanks, looking forward to how things go for you.

Good day,
I have two WD hard drives (1TB and 3TB (green stickers)), when i plug my externals up the blue light is blinking. Does that mean that my externals completely failed? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
+JERALD BELL (YotaOne)
The Blue Light should stay on with no drives inserted, and also stay solid when any external drive is mounted.
First thing to check is the cable.
Make sure it is plugged in firmly, Switch On (Solid Blue Light = All is OK)
If No Solid Blue Light (with NO DRIVES INSERTED.)
Wiggle the lead to see if you have a broken wire. (Intermittent flashing Blue Light = New Cable)
+Garry Purcell
Another thing to check are the drives themselves.
+JERALD BELL (YotaOne)
There is one other thing to try.
Update the Drivers on your PC.
hi Garry!
do you know why only this item is compatible with WD HDD?
I can only find this item from UK compatible, hundreds of other looking exactly the same in Ebay have a tag: "not compatible with Western Digital HDD".
I have only one, which is WD, so its kinda important :)
I have a small list in my Video description of the drives Iv'e personally tested with my docking station.

What should I do then???
+JeX Barbosa
I assume the drive is in working order, and has been tested as a working slave, before using it in the Dock.

P.S. If you need to reinstall the software:
The link below lists quite a few different models listed. (Bottom of the page.)

I use a free driver program to update my drivers, its called Driver Easy.
drivereasy.en.softonic.com/download
Its fully functional, but limited in free version to only updating a few drivers each session. you can use it to see if your USB drivers are up to date.
Hi Erin
Try updating the Windows 10 Drivers using the free software in my comment above yours.

is this dock works with Window 8.1, and windows 10?
I have used the dock with windows 10, and it works fine. I don't know anyone using win8.1, so I could plug the dock in, and confirm that it works for you. I would expect it should work OK, but as I said, I haven't tested it on that OS.
hey, great video very helpful. I seem to be having a problem with mine, whoever I plug in any hard drives, it doesn't show even though you hear the plug in sound. any ideas why :( ?
r u running both sata drives at once?
I have run multiple drives at once, IDE, Sata, USB Sata and SDCard without problems. But I mainly run one Sata Dive as a backup for my important files.
I have also tested Wifi to a remote Raspberry Pi Device, all the Video files I selected, moved without any problems between the hard drives.
Wow thats awesome. I beleive u sold me on this product. Haha. Ty again.
Mine is in daily use, approx 10 hours per day, and still working perfectly.
The manufacturer has had multiple updates since I bought mine, so I'm not sure what the current model number is.
Ok cool ty for the new info.
I DID NOT GET THE DISC WITH MINE THAT STINKS
Here is a link to the CD programs.

I hope this helps.
How can you clone an IDE 2.5" hard-drive with this device? Which bay is the source and target bays on this docking station? One may need two IDE bays?
I have never cloned any drive, I use the docking station to store files on.
So I hope someone else will be able to answer for you.
ok you got it detected as device, but you did not show the directory exploring.
When connected, It works as any internal drive does.
Copy, Paste, Move, Directory Listing etc.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for your feedback...I encountered on another dock the device seeing as connected by windows but could not see a mounted drive to explore the disk. So I'm happy that dock you demonstrated works fine.
I have it connected to my laptop, and its in daily use.
I've been very happy with its performance, and had no problems so far.
Can I use it on a mac?
I would expect it depends on the drivers that the Mac OS use to detect external devices.
So I'm not certain, as I don't have Mac OS to test it for you.
will this support a SSD 250gb DRIVE
It should be OK connected through a USB port.
Dose a maxator of 80gb work?
Hi
I don't own that drive, so I'm not sure. hopefully someone will be able to answer your question for you.
Does anybody have the software for this??
Have you tried the All in 1 HDD Docking Station software from this link below?
www.onsite-computers.co.uk/all-in-1-hdd-docking-station-drivers.html
@@GarryPurcell Yes but it does not open on windows 7 just keeps going round in a loop. Something called "Restart.exe" keeps running
@@nw8000 Try updating your Windows 7 drivers. www.drivereasy.com/ you can use their free version and manually do any update that's needed.
Ssd hard disk?
I have an external Samsung 1gig SSD at home, I'll test it later and let you know
My Samsung External SSD works via USB connection.
Thanks,
That's good to know for those in the UK considering purchasing this dock.
P.S. I have the 240v Australian plug.
(the red slider underneath the unit!! )
I found with my IDE Drives. you really need to push them in quite hard. to make sure they are seated properly/
ssd working?
SSD Card reader works, if that's what your asking.
I'm just receive my Clone Drive All in 1. But without driver......
It's OK with HDD SATA, USB key...
It's OK with HDD IDE Western Digital, Seagate, Hitashi, or Quantum, it's ok..
But it don't work with HDD Maxtor ..No... Why ??
They stopped shipping driver disks quite some time ago, as most computers automatically find drivers when hardware is plugged in.
I really don't know the answer for the Maxtor not working.
If you would like to tell me the full name and size, I'll add it to the video description as not working.
@@GarryPurcell Thx for your response ..HDD are Maxtor Diamond Max 10 200 Go and 80Go
@@mbg5066 Thank You for the information.
I've now added them to the Video Description not working HDD List.
work with win7 64bits?
+leonardo
Yes, and you can also unplug it. and use it on other operating systems also.
I personally use Linux Mint, and my wife uses window 10, you can easily transfer files, videos, photos etc between the different operating systems.
