  • So I got another Bike.
It was one I've wanted for sometie now. But the expense of a new one was a bit too much. But a used one came along and well had to go for it.
Already have some parts that should allow me to bump it up to 3 speeds. Only 2 speeds just ain't cutting it as a commuter round these parts.
hope you enjoy the vid and drop a comment.

Enjoy your Brompton. I have two, an electric one and an M6L. The latter is now undergoing a bit of a diet, I hope to be able to shave off half a kg at least.

Thanks. The electric sounds like it would be a great commuter.

@@derekdelboy it is of course a bit heavier and the bag with the battery is cumbersome. However, I live in a hilly area and without e-assist I simply couldn't use a bike instead of a car. It remains compact when folded as all other Bromptons. One problem is that you can't lock the battery on the frame with a key, therefore we ran in one embarrassing episode once when we went to a concert and we couldn't bring the battery to the venue.
Two things that I don't like about Bromptons are the impossibility to mount tubeless tires (repairing a puncture is quite cumbersome, because of IGH and lack of quick release axles) and the lack of disc brakes. Rim brakes are a bit squishy and, in the aforementioned hilly area, they leave something to be desired in terms of braking power. But overall, both Bromptons I own are real fun to ride and use.
PS in case you wonder, the non-electric one is used mainly as a "tender" to the car, which is a plug-in and oftentimes the charging station is far from my destination.
