In case you didn't see the comment claiming none of these train are going 150mph. Here is the break down:
I timed the train at 1:15. Car length: 85ft with 2 ft in between each car. 9 cars, 8 spaces for a total length of 781ft. Took ~4.7 seconds for all the cars to pass (not including locomotive). Roughly 166.1 ft/sec = 113 mph. As for an Acela at 1:36 for example, according to the www, the full length nose to nose of an Acela is 663.75ft (they are all the same length). This train took ~3 seconds to pass which comes out to just about 221 ft/sec which, not so ironically, comes out to exactly 150 mph. Following the same method as the first example, the train at 3:53 is going roughly 72 mph. He got some good film and the video is as advertised.

The way I see it, none of these trains are doing 150 mph. The Acela at 2:24 & 4:33, 5:09 would be doing around 160 kmph or 100 mph and a good one at 3:41 of a conventional train probably doing nearly 160 kmph. The rest of them are conventional speeds of around 130 kmph or 80 mph.
Nicely documented footage of various train kinds.
Cool footage at 3:24 of the two trains.
Great shots of the loco 5:50 and 6:27!

Thanks man! This area is graded for 150mph for the acela but you’re right they may not be going that fast. There was high heat this day so that would definitely slow everything down a bit

LMAO okay, show us the radar gun you used. That's a pretty authoritative tone for just eyeballing it.

@@Wine_n_cheese Good calcifications mate! 👏🏽👏🏽 Good to see a numbers person.
That said, I have seen gps speeds inside an Acela between NYC and DC and never do they go beyond 110 mph.
