THANK YOU SO MUCH for your video 🙏!!! It really helped me understand teal and orange look better, but also to improve my colorimetry in general. And your speech at the end speaks to me so much about the decisions I've made this year. Thanks for everything and all the best to you for the future 🙏!!!
This is such a great session. And your answers about creation a highly pushed teal-orange for the client are just life changing). Super valuable. And ofcourse last 5 minutes of it are the greatest advices. Thanks a lot
Hey Cullen! Just wanted to you wish you a great start to 2023 and thank you for all the amazing content you have been generously sharing with us trought 2022. I used to watch a lot of random color grading tutorials in UA-cam but after discovering your channel, It's hard to keep watching any of those anymore. You really provide us with much better methods to incorporate in our grading workflows (simple, effective, practical and science based) that anyone else I could find in youtube. I also love your calm energy and the depth in which you approach all these topics, specially in these times of click-baity and flashy content that is so unrealiable. You are a true teacher I can trust and someone who has helped me to go a long way in this beautiful journey of learning color grading. Mil gracias maestro!

Wauv, Cullen. Such an informative walk-through but your closing thoughts and sharing of your choices was amazing. Courageous, honest and from the heart. So glad to hear you choose this path and no doubt it has been important to your amazing growth, professionally and personally. Bravo. Thanks for sharing 🙏. Happy 2023 to you and yours ❤.

Thank you for all the amazing knowledge you share with everyone! Happy New Year to you and your family and congratulations on your amazing achievement of 4 years clean!
Interesting discussion on "neutral shadows". My personal taste is that the black point (but not necessarily the "shadows) should be neutral or very close to neutral. If a "black" input to the image comes out as a dark blue or magenta, I usually find that gross, but for inputs above black it's not an issue if there's a hue to it. Fortunately, in a color managed workflow it's relatively easy to avoid moving the black point, especially if you're grading in linear. Unless you've got some kind of undesired lens flare, you usually get neutral blacks for free.
Another great video, Cullen. I was wondering if you ever used the log wheels to push colours into certain tonal ranges? I find that using 2 serial nodes with different low and high ranges to even out the darkest and lightest areas after the initial colour push works well.

Very nice and interesting as always! By the way the link is still returning 404 unfortunately

I feel most of the questions took you away from discussing how you would personally approach teal and orange
