What I love about your work is how specific it is. I’ve got a neurological condition that makes it hard for me to hear and understand spoken words (or lyrics) without visual cues; it’s called mirror touch synesthesia. When I watch your videos, suddenly I can hear the lyrics better. And each dancer interpreting the same choreography enhances it for me. As an actor disabled by brain injury, living in LA, I always felt the idea that the performing arts are “healing” was a LaLa Land cliche used to justify a greedy, narcissistic agenda. So many people shouting “Look at me! Look at me!” Ick. But watching your work, the joy in the movement, and the connections it creates, changes the way I feel about my acquired injury, myself, and our craft. Your work helps me heal. Thank you for doing it, and for sharing it as a gift on UA-cam.
