This is perfect with the movie. Gives it the sense of an apocalypse, how time is running out and humanity and the modern world will end. Whenever I hear this, it gives me this feeling.

How come in every single zombie movie the lights are broken or flicking, because its not like the zombies hit every light or there was one tall guy and hit is head on every light while running for his life.
Because power stations would likely have been evacuated and/or abandoned. Without constant supervision the power grid would become unstable and the entire system would shut down.
The movie was an interesting concept but I disliked the somewhat short and anticlimactic ending which left me with more questions than answers.Would love the movie based on the exact story line of the book. I will admit though that the Jerusalem scene was intense and well made showing how a city could be overwhelmed rapidly.
