just to note... this is on a sunday, certain things only happen on a sunday at swindon (i know this as it is my local station), this includes...
* IETs in P3 even if theyre off to cardiff / bristol etc (to accommodate for the cheltenham trains starting at swindon only and not paddington (usually starting from either P2 or 1 so it is easier for passengers for the trains to go into P3 instead of 4 as theyre most likely for the cheltenham train))
* the double 158 / 158 in the cockelbury sidings, usually is a double 158, sometimes 165 but 'rarely' is just a single unit as this set comes in from gloucester, sits in cockelbury for 30-40 mins, then heads to bristol TM (2B38 from GCR and 1C09 to BRI)
* lots of 158s / 166/165s from cheltenham, although there are some 158/166/165s to and from cheltenham on weekdays, these are rare so best too look out for them on sundays
* THIS APPLIES FOR SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS - 387s being used to/from swindon, although this does happen on weekdays, there is only three trains (6 services) (in the WTT (not applying to VAR schedules)) which is a 387 (1B04 and 1L13, 1U23 and 5U23, 1U31 and 5U31 (there are others but they dont usually come to swindon as theyre going into the cockelbury sidings from didcot so just favour going straight in via the up entrance) however on saturdays and sundays, 387s are used quite well at swindon which is nice to see trains OTHER than the IETs
